Spacious, beautiful, shaded pitches, nice swimming pool, friendly operators, rather individually designed site, mini store with own vegetables, honey, wine etc., quiet crowd, mostly with tents. Can be reached very quickly from the highway. Bicycle rental.
Negatívumok
The railroad track can be clearly heard. It is difficult to leave the square on foot as there is no sidewalk on the road.
A very nice, small, familiar place
A small, cozy campsite that stands out positively from the large, commercial campsites. As it can be reached in a few minutes from the highway, it is an ideal place for one night on the onward journey to Croatia.

Very nice staff. We got a parking space for our motorhome with electricity at very short notice. Sanitary facilities very clean. Hot showers possible even after 10 pm. Nice shady parking lot. Wonderfully integrated into nature. Visited a very good Italian restaurant in the evening, which was anything but expensive.

Small family campsite a little off the beaten track
The Carso campsite is located approx. 3 km from the center of Sistiana. The pitches are spacious and most of them are under trees. However, the railroad line to Trieste and the highway are also relatively close. Trains, including freight trains, run almost all night. The swimming pool was probably only... open once at the beginning of September due to the bad weather. If you want to leave your car behind, you have to rely on buses, which only run every 40 minutes in the low season. They take you to Sistiana and then you have to walk down to the bay. This campsite is therefore only partially suitable for a beach vacation. Most campers only stay for one or two nights before continuing on to Croatia. The staff are friendly and speak good English. You can buy organic vegetables in the small store, but nothing else. There is a small supermarket for daily needs about 1 km away. Unfortunately, we were not told that there is a much larger supermarket at the end of Sistiana. Overall, therefore, only a 3-4.

thank you for your comment. Anyhow it contains some wrong informations. The Camping is 1,5 km to Sistiana center and not 3 km. The swimming pool is, from several years, open from the 25th of june until the 31st of august. In case of good wether we can decide to prolonge some days also in... september. The bus stop is close to the entrance. The bus runs every 40min all the year not only in low season. During the high season it runs also to the beach. In our Bioshop is possible to buy not only our own organic vegetables but also wine, honey and homemade the. The supermarket you mentioned is in Duino 4 km to us and not close to Sistiana. Usually the guests find the smaller supermarket, that is 800 m from us, enough for their necessities.

Rustig, groen, schoon en een prachtige omgeving. Een rustig dagje op de camping aan het zwembad is ook heerlijk.

soms hoor je de trein duidelijk.
Een thuiskomen
Een heerlijke camping, rustig, schoon en kleinschalig. Met een keurig onderhouden zwembad, er is altijd iemand bij om toezicht te houden. Een rustig gevoel als je kinderen daar spelen. Het sanitair is simpel maar wel goed functionerend en zeer schoon. Eenvoudige douches, met warm water. Ik kom er al jaren, eerst met de kleine kinderen, nu met vriendinnen.

Nice staff but very outdated sanitary facilities that simply cannot be kept clean (4 showers and 4 toilets for men and women together). If you shower too late (about 20h), there is no more hot water. 200m from a railroad line and about 1km from the highway, which you can hear especially at night. Nice pool. The pitches are very large, many trees that provide shade and the price for the car at the tent is 7.50, which I find really exaggerated.
