Small campsite in a charming landscape
We (2 adults and 2 children) were with our caravan from 20.04. to 25.04.2019 on the camping "De Hollandse Boerderij" and felt comfortable. If you are looking for a 5-star luxury campsite, this is not the place for you. If, on the other hand, you are looking for a simple and small site in a charming landscape,... this is the place for you. We mainly used the site as a starting point for numerous excursions (e.g. Rotterdam, Gouda, Keukenhof, etc.). The campsite has space for around 30 caravans or motorhomes, and there are about the same number of mobile homes. The sanitary facilities are unfortunately getting on in years, but were always clean. Our youngest son particularly enjoyed the petting zoo. During our stay, the site was in the direct approach corridor to Amsterdam Airport twice a day for about 1.5 hours. I found the landing approaches at an altitude of approx. 400 m more interesting than annoying. Otherwise it was wonderfully quiet, even at night. Shopping is easy in Bodegraven, about 6 km away. The access road is a little narrow in some places and officially closed for vehicles wider than 2.20 m, but in practice it is easy to drive on. Conclusion: Small, cozy and hospitable campsite in a charming landscape.
