The approach is a bit "tricky" but easy to master, even for 2.50m wide caravans. The sanitary facilities seem to be a little small, especially when the site is fully booked. But they were clean.
Repeat offenders
This was our second time at the campsite to visit Rennes again, as the city deserves it.
The site is in a very scenic location, but dogs are not allowed in the woods, not even on a lead, so you can only walk on the road.
A little further on there is a dog run, which can be used to a limited extent.

The approach. Even the satnav couldn't find the place.
Beautiful location in an old forest
The approach is very adventurous, via a narrow road. Just wide enough for a motorhome. But you are rewarded with a beautiful spot in the forest on a park-like site.

Didn't find a power socket or a hairdryer anywhere in the sanitary facilities.
City and park
We arrived at the site before lunchtime and were informed that we could only drive onto a pitch from 3 p.m., or we would have to pay a surcharge of €8 on top of the normal daily rate. I found this very inconvenient because we wanted to drive into the city and use the whole afternoon for sightseeing.... I was then offered the opportunity to park the motorhome in the parking lot in front of the campsite and was told that if we only needed a space between 5 p.m. and 11 a.m. the next morning, we could drive to the parking lot for €11.00. We were allowed to use the sanitary facilities. We thought that was great and that's what we did. The pitch overlooks a meadow and we were able to watch a large number of rabbits having fun in the evening. The bus connection to the city is great and not expensive. The park is certainly beautiful, but unfortunately it rained and we weren't able to explore it any further this time.

quiet CP close to the city on the eastern outskirts of Rennes
The campsite is located on the eastern outskirts of Rennes in the middle of the Gayeulles municipal park. The access road is narrowed in several places to reduce speed. The city center is easily accessible by public transport. The campsite was reopened after renovation in late summer 2017 and the mobile... homes were newly built. The site is very quiet despite its proximity to the city. The pitches are equipped with electricity, some also with water connection. Sanitary facilities heated and clean. The access road is automatically monitored. Also ideal for excursions into the surrounding countryside and to the coast

perfect for a city visit
Spacious delimited pitches with own water/waste water connection, close to the city and yet quiet, friendly staff, sanitary top, we paid 2 pers. & caravan without electricity 21,-€, place was recently renovated, highly recommended

Convenient starting point for sightseeing
The site is located in a wooded area on the outskirts of the city. The bus to the city center is a 10-minute walk away. You can also reach the city quickly by bike. The range of amenities on the site is modest, but the nearest bakery or supermarket is barely more than 1 km away. The pitches are nice... and large and easy to navigate. The sanitary facilities offer everything you need and are also heated in summer at low temperatures (at least in the shower area) (in August 2014 it went below 10°C at night).
