There are only disadvantages if you want everything to be chic, modern and spotless. But as a real camper, you don't want a stylish site with lots of rules.
A rustic place near Barcelona
Idyllic campsite in a forest clearing near Barcelona with a direct bus connection from the campsite to the center of Barcelona. The site feels a bit "natural", it is quiet, we were allowed to stand wherever we wanted. Everything worked, from time to time we had to ask the reception (an old, very nice... couple) where things were... but everything was there. The sanitary facilities are clean and have a real Spanish style, old but with character.
We feel at home here.
The restaurant is quaint and has great opening hours

Near Barcelona
We stayed 1 week at this campsite. The location is very good if you want to be near Barcelona, there is even a bus stop at the entrance of the campsite that leaves you in the center of Barcelona. The toilets are very old but clean. Value for money: a bit expensive.

A plus point is the bus directly from the site to Barcelona. Otherwise it's more of a dump than a campsite. As a traveler passing through, you could live with it - if the price wasn't so outrageously high. 33 euros for one night (two people with a dog) is definitely too high.

Good alternative location for a visit to Barcelona
We stayed at this site for 3 nights at the end of August, it was recommended to us by the owner of Camping Masnou in Badalona. We arrived in the late afternoon and there were plenty of free pitches. Some of the trees were close together, so care is needed when approaching the site with long caravans.... Pitches sandy or fine gravel, some with shade, sanitary facilities simple but clean. There is a restaurant on site, which also serves fresh baguettes in the morning. Further shopping facilities in Vallromanes, approx. 3 km away. The supermarket is under the parking lot. Friendly host family, German is also spoken. Pool at the end of the campsite, great for relaxing after a day of sightseeing in Barcelona. There is a bus service from the campsite to the city center. Departure 2x in the morning, approx. 9:00 h and 11:00 h, return 2x in the evening at approx. 17:00 h and 20:00 h. Non-stop service, so the journey time was only about 40-45 minutes. 10 trips cost us €25, i.e. €5 per person per day there and back. We liked this so much that we dropped our plans to move to the centrally located Masnou Camping. The price-performance ratio is borderline, but still acceptable for a campsite so close to the city. We can recommend the site for a visit to Barcelona.

A good alternative
We stayed at this campsite in early August 2014. We booked in advance because many other campsites were already all full, but there was no need because this campsite was not very crowded. For those who want to visit Barcelona, it is a good alternative to the crowded and dirty campsites on the Riviera:... here we are in the hills just inland from the city, but you can get to the center in about half an hour, thanks to the bus service with a bus stop right at the entrance to the campsite. The campsite is set on gently sloping ground, surrounded by very tall trees that make good shade. Few electricity points: bring a 20-25m extension cord with you. Be careful not to set up near the lampposts, because in the evening these are literally overrun with midges, which you may find on your plate if you eat outdoors. The bathrooms are clean, though improvable. The showers are good. There is a restaurant (not tried) and several facilities including a swimming pool at the bottom of the campsite, at the highest part. Nice enough staff: they are two elderly, quiet people. I would definitely stay there again.

Far from Barcelona, even if there is poorly served bus service though, one cannot enjoy Barcelona at night. Mosquitoes, flies and lots of dust, comfortable places are narrow, distant ones close to the woods and so full of insects. Friendly managers but not enough. Bathrooms ok for being in spain.
