- Jürgen H.April 2023PozitívumokWonderful location, quiet, parking spaces,NegatívumokLocation to the seaA place of long distancesWell-kept, terraced site with mainly mobile homes. The pitches are mostly shady, vary in size and are very open with hedges dividing them. There is only a very narrow path connecting the pitch terraces to the wash house, otherwise you have to use the driveway around all the pitches. At night you could... only get to the wash house with a flashlight due to the lack of lighting. The showers in the men's and women's areas are heated and locked, but the toilet area is open. Some of the sanitary facilities are a bit dated, but always clean.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Sandy S.July 2019PozitívumokLarge pitches available, nice pools for the childrenNegatívumokLack of cleanliness in the sanitary facilities, defective whirlpool on the pitch, unkempt paths, extremely poor food in the restaurant wAn outdated space for a lot of moneyPitch cost us about 110€ per night, my expectations of this place were far from fulfilled!Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Klaus U.June 2019PozitívumokLandscape,NegatívumokSanitary facilitiesSuper pitchWe had a pitch with private bathroom, the space was mega large, caravan, awning and awning fit easily and in front of it still 4 meters of space. The bathroom is separate from the toilet, a small kitchen with sink and fridge are also integrated, the highlight is that these can be closed with an electric... blind, the pool area is smaller than you would expect from the official photos, but clean and well maintained. Sanitary facilities were not an issue for us, but not worthy of a 5* pitch when we visited. Also the water failed 2 days, and at night you often get a visit from wild boars, which made sure that despite the bathroom which you pay for, the on-board toilet was activated for the children. The place gives the information that you could do nothing for it. Everyone can decide for themselves how they see it. Animation was advertised, but somehow it didn't take place, in the evening shows were announced, but obviously soccer on the screen was considered more important. Conclusion: the expensive pitches with private bathrooms are great, but the campsite as such is a 3* at best, I consider wild boar rots to be a certain risk. The view and landscape are fantastic, the ideal starting point for lazing around and going on excursions.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Christian T.September 2018Poor price-performance ratio! In my opinion, the price-performance ratio is not right at all. The sanitary facilities at the pool area are very outdated and extremely dingy. The mobile homes are reasonably clean but much smaller than at other campsites. The restaurant and supermarket are outrageously expensive. The bathing facilities... (swimming only with "swimming shorts") are, in my opinion, just a money-making exercise. In addition, a gym is advertised here which consists of an outdated rowing machine and a stepper. In the evenings it is usually very noisy as there is almost always an event going on. We have been vacationing in France for years, but next time we will stay at a different campsite!Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Ute C.April 2018PozitívumokLeisure activitiesNegatívumokToilet seat missing, socket missing, shower temperature not adjustable, lack of paths and lighting, pitches not nice2-star pitch ambience, 5-star leisure facilitiesVery large, well-kept, terraced complex with mainly mobile homes. I found the pitch area to be less lovingly laid out. The pitches are equipped with 16 A electricity as well as water and waste water connections, but are mostly very shady, vary in size and are very open with sparse hedges. There is little... privacy as many fellow campers and their dogs walk across the pitches to the outside area (dog toilet). Unfortunately, there is also only a very narrow path connecting the pitch terraces to the wash house, visually a slightly wider rain gutter, otherwise you have to use the driveway around all the pitches. This is not very convenient, just like the lack of lighting on the path or the entire pitch area. In the evening you could only get to the wash house with a flashlight. The ladies' wash house is a closed construction (heated) with toilets and showers in one room. The toilets have toilet paper, but no toilet seat. There was no soap at the hand wash basin, only disinfectant and a hand dryer. The shower cubicles are equipped with a bench, washbasin and hairdryer, but unfortunately without a socket for other appliances. The water temperature is not adjustable (adjustable for men) and the water was either too hot or too cold. The showers in the men's or mixed area (at least nothing was marked there) are also heated and closed with a sliding door, the toilet area is open. The free wifi is unfortunately only available at the restaurant, reception at the pitch is too poor. The pool area is visually very appealing and designed for children. Nothing for swimmers. Restaurant, store, fitness and sports room, multi-sports field, skate park, playground, tennis courts, mini golf and boules court as well as mini indoor pool for small children are available. The campsite probably deserves the 5 stars for its leisure facilities, as does the mobile home area, but the pitch area falls far short and didn't impress us at all. The high-gloss idyll has not yet arrived here.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Janina H.September 2017Pozitívumokdog-friendly, clean, large pitches, quiet, own whirlpoolNegatívumok---We felt completely at home there! We have already visited many different campsites and the vacations at the 5-star Esterel campsite in France were by far the best! This campsite is just great, everything is perfect and we had absolutely nothing to complain about. What's really great is that this campsite is absolutely dog-friendly! Our... large pitch with its own whirlpool ensured that we could really enjoy our vacation. But our vacation in the Mobilhome Master Suite was also simply wonderful! The campsite is in a quiet location, and in the evening a few wild boars even came past the fence to say goodnight. The staff were really friendly and so were most of the other campers. There was a wide range of guests, many from Germany, England and Holland, a few Belgians and Italians and even people from Denmark. There were also people of all ages, from very young to very old. :o) We have always enjoyed this campsite so much that we already know that we will definitely be spending our vacation there again! I would definitely recommend it to others! https://bloggmaus.blogspot.com/2019/05/campingplatz-esterel-caravaning.htmlAutomatikusan lefordítva.
- Ricky S.September 2017PozitívumokMega cool for kidsNegatívumokThe restaurant (the place has 2) is bad. Our opinion. This shows how camping "almost" works! One thing first. There is only one criticism but otherwise you can't go wrong here. On the positive side: Very tidy, well-percellated campsite, mega-large mobile home estate, super nice playground with very good soft ground (in my presence a stranger's child fell from a 2.3m high climbing frame and nothing... happened. Lots of play equipment and well fenced. Mini golf, 2x tennis courts, table tennis and so on. Now to the pool: what more could MAN want? Huge pool area just for children, slides as far as the eye can see, large swimming pool, no very warm pool ideal for small children. The kiosk has everything you could want, only opens late! 0800 is too late. Large children's pool and indoor pool in bad weather :). So now the negative: The pizza/kebab in the square is really poor to bad. Except for pizza, the food is really not good! So people, go there. The place is really GREAT!Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Johannes E.September 2017Great place, too bad that the ladies toilets are dingyA great site with lots of rental accommodation and beautiful, large pitches for mobile homes and trailers. The facilities on the site are extensive and the surroundings with the Massif d'Esterel and the Mediterranean are sensational. The almost always dirty ladies' toilets didn't fit in at all, but spoiled the pleasure.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Sonja K.July 2017PozitívumokSurrounded by pure nature! Everything very well maintained great pool area, children's pool, water slides small supermarket and restaurant on siteNegatívumokYou need a car for everything else.Perfect with small children! We spent a fantastic week here in high season! Our kids (4 and 6) loved being in the supervised mini-club or with us on the water slides in the wonderful modern pool area. For kids up to 7 there was also a covered children's pool with a mini slide and water-spouting animals. All pools are always clean.... There is also a huge playground, very well maintained and fenced in. The site is beautifully situated on the edge of the Esterel mountains, which you can see from some parts of the terraced site. But not from many. Unfortunately, the mountains were completely closed due to the risk of forest fires (even for pedestrians). You need a car to get to the numerous idyllic bays (some with sand, others with pebbles) and to the endlessly long sandy beach of Agay (approx. 10 minutes' drive, but we always found a parking space straight away, usually free of charge). In the high season the place was very busy, there was often music at the pool during the day, and in the evening there was loud entertainment music from 9pm until about midnight. If this really bothers you, you probably won't be happy here in high summer. We had already read this beforehand and immediately asked for a quiet spot - and we got one. The music was only muted. It was perfect for us! The air-conditioned mobile home was in top condition and clean. Everything you need was inside. Everything worked. Enough distance from the neighboring house and a privacy screen made of plants. There was always someone at reception who spoke German. They were very friendly and eager to help with any questions. Free internet near the pool, unfortunately it didn't reach our house. The clientele was mixed: French, English, Dutch, German, Swiss. Lots of families! Fast food (pizza, chips) rather mediocre, but restaurant with great pool view was better! Great place, quite expensive, but absolutely worth the money! We would love to come back and recommend this campsite to all families with children of all ages who like nature but also enjoy music and entertainment (or at least don't mind it).Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Georg U.July 2017PozitívumokNice out of seasonNegatívumokDisco noise, complaints ignoredBetter to avoid in the high seasonIn the high season, from the beginning of July to the end of August, not for those seeking relaxation. Every day from 21:30 until shortly before 03:00, booming music noise throughout the campsite. Disco, starting at 01:00, booms through every pitch.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Katharina R.April 2017PozitívumokGreat surroundings Swimming pool Shopping facilities on site Entertainment programNegatívumokVery loud No working internet expensiveSuper nice locationVery well-kept complex in wonderful natural surroundings surrounded by forest with a view of the massif. Mostly rental accommodation. Entertainment on site Very loud, sometimes music until midnight. Beautiful swimming pool, excellent leisure facilities in the surrounding area. Friendly staff. Wifi did not work. Pizzeria on site not recommended. Pizza bad and absolutely overpriced. Shopping facilities on siteAutomatikusan lefordítva.
- Udo g.July 2016Good campsite but...We stayed at this campsite during the 2016 summer vacation. We were at the end of the site where it was very quiet. The program for our children was more than sufficient. But now to the... There is a playground for children on the site, which is fenced in with wire mesh fencing directly at the entrance.... However, when the fence was installed, no attention was paid to how it should be mounted. Wire was used to attach the wire mesh fence to the posts and the cut edges were therefore inside the playground. Extreme danger of cuts. Unfortunately, my son hurt himself playing on it and got a cut that had to be stitched up in hospital. When we reported it, we were told that it was his own fault. The fence had been installed by a professional. When I went there with the young lady from reception to show her, we were told that they would take care of it. No response to emails and letters to date. My son broke his jersey and couldn't use the pool area for a week because of the injury. To this day there has been no apology or anything of the sort. So it wasn't family-friendly and our family vacation was ruined that day.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Roland M.May 2016PozitívumokBeautiful, new pool area. Very friendly staff who provide guests with information without being asked.Negatívumoksecluded, at least 3 km to the sea, mostly rental accommodation.Located in the prairieQuite a good campsite, but does not deserve 5 stars (about 3 plus). Standard pitches not very large. Nearest villages far away - St. Raphael about 9 km, Agay, where there is not much going on, about 3 km. Sanitary facilities good by French standards.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Erika R.September 2015PozitívumokVery quiet location with a view of the Esterel massif and not very far from the sea.NegatívumokThe access road is somewhat impracticalGreat area for vacationWhether you are a tourist renting a cottage or arriving with your own caravan or mobile home, it is always nice to stay on this siteAutomatikusan lefordítva.
- Cornelia S.September 2015PozitívumokNo advantages for senior citizensNegatívumokThey should be ashamed of the access road. The place never deserved 5 stars !!!Only English or French is spoken at reception, as a German you get the feeling that you are not welcome here. The majority of the guests are English and they are catered for. We were there in the 2nd week of September 2015. The access road is adventurous and does not match the 5 stars at all. Even on... the paths in the CP there are sometimes such waves that every 2nd car sits on them, not to mention the WW or WoMo's, but nobody cares if you break your car, also does not fit the 5 stars. You can forget about cycling unless you have the fitness of a racing driver. Absolutely unsuitable for senior citizens. The pitch prices are very expensive and not worth it. We have crossed the campsite out of our notes. Oh, there is free wifi, but it NEVER works.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Frank H.August 2015PozitívumokMany excursion destinations are within easy reach from here, sea 3 km away, Esterel massif within easy reachNegatívumokToo expensive for the services provided, here 5 stars are probably to be rated differently than in Germany. W-LAN rarely works.Large pitches, great surroundings, close to the sea, no 5 starsWe stayed at this campsite with our family of 5. It is quite expensive, but that is normal in this area. Nevertheless, in my opinion the campsite is far from 5 stars, which I don't really value, only if you advertise it as such... The campsite offers lots of opportunities for children, there are events... every evening. There is a pool area and playgrounds. The pool (the water) was unclean, probably because of the persistently high temperatures. The supermarket on site is well stocked and reasonably priced, which cannot be said of the restaurant and fast food outlets. You are certainly happy to pay a little more if the quality is right, but here the price is there, but the service is not (I have never eaten a worse pizza). The cleaning staff make an effort all day to keep the sanitary facilities clean. But it doesn't work. There is also the stench of faeces every evening (on the pitch), I think there were problems with the sewage system during our stay, otherwise I can't explain it. The site is beautifully situated and you can reach the sea in 5 minutes. You can organize great excursions from this site. The pitches are generously sized. Nevertheless, you are close to your neighbor as the pitches are laid out in terraces. Overall, it was a great vacation due to the surroundings, but the site is overpriced for what it promises.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Peter W.June 2015Beautiful place at the foot of the Esterel MountainsVery nice site, located at the foot of the Esterel mountains, approx. 4 km from the beach in Agay. The sanitary facilities are clean, but cramped and a little dated. There is a new ladies' area which is very good. The staff are super friendly and helpful.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Thomas D.April 2015PozitívumokWonderful, quiet place surrounded by beautiful nature, hardly visible from the outside. Very clean, good service.NegatívumokVery windy with mistral.Top place that doesn't promise too much....There is nothing to add to the site's homepage. Even if you're not a mountain biker, you can still manage here. The pitches in the upper area are very firm and you should have a drill or something to suggest with you. Otherwise you can hardly get a peg stuck. But that is necessary. We had four days of mistral and on the last day up to 100km/h with a bright blue sky and 20 degrees at Easter.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Barbara B.September 2014PozitívumokBeautiful, pleasant site with spacious pitches in a wonderful natural setting with a view of the Esterel Mountains.Beautifully scenic campsiteWe (a couple) spent a wonderful vacation on this site in September 2014. The pitches vary in size, some are very large (double pitches), so privacy is guaranteed and you feel comfortable. The site is very well maintained (landscaping, sanitary facilities, pool) and ideal as a starting point for excursions,... even if not directly by the sea. It's very quiet and you don't feel like you're on a fairground as you would on a campsite right by the sea. You can get to the coast in about 10 minutes by bike, about 1/3 of which is a cycle path. Tip: with an e-bike you can make wonderful tours into the Esterel Mountains (for sporty people of course also with "normal" bikes) undisturbed by cars, as the roads are partly closed to all motorized traffic in the summer months due to the risk of fire. We can really recommend the place and will certainly be going there again.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Monika S.July 2014Campsite on the edge of a nature reserveWere surprised by the tranquillity of the campsite, ideal location for excursions and also for swimming. The sea is 4 km away and all the main towns on the Cote Azur are close by for sightseeing.Automatikusan lefordítva.
