An attractive place with a very nice owner family.
We were greeted with a handshake and the site was explained to us, the free wifi extends to here, there are pitches in the forest, here pitches with and without shade. Below the large meadow you can go directly to the river to put in a kayak or canoe. The sanitary building was old, he apologized several... times, they were already tearing down one side and were proud to be able to put up a new one soon. The old sanitary facilities were usable and clean, with heating, glasses and paper. One week after our stay, everything should be torn down, a container should be set up and the new sanitary building should go into operation on January 18, 2018. We chose a plot of approx. 120m2, the owner said that there was no room for our caravan on the small plot and that we should choose a larger one.......... The campsite is about 15 km from the highway exit, don't necessarily believe the navigation system, coming from Periguex, there is a camping signpost to Camping Huttopia on the left of the road, at the same height, a signpost to Le Bois de Coderc on the right, follow this. We liked it very much.

We spent a week there and had a relaxing vacation. We rented a fixed caravan for a week, which was very clean and perfectly adequate for three people. Only the bed in the front could have been bigger and the information on the website is not correct. The site is very quiet, the owners very friendly and... multilingual. Including German. The sanitary facilities were old and a bit "patched up" but very clean and there was always enough hot water. The site is probably used more by people passing through to Spain or to get to the Atlantic Ocean, which is why all the pitches were never occupied and it was therefore wonderfully quiet. You can choose between shady, semi-shady and sunny pitches. However, the sunny pitches were practically empty. Mobile homes can also be rented and, like the caravan, at reasonable prices. Unfortunately, you can't swim in the adjacent river, but there is a swimming pool. If you want to swim in the sea, the Atlantic itself is about 150 km away. There is no entertainment on the site and no supermarket. However, you can order bread and croissants etc. for breakfast the evening before. There are supermarkets about 8km away in Tressiliac, which are easy to reach by car. If you forget something, there is a small corner store in the supermarket in the neighboring village (approx. 2km). You can also barbecue on the campsite, for which mobile charcoal barbecues are available if you have forgotten your own. The site is also suitable for hikers and cyclists, as there are several signposted paths in the surrounding area. Périgueux is about 10km away and has a beautiful old town, where a market is held in the middle of the town on Wed and Fri. All in all, I can only recommend this place. However, if you are looking for swimming in natural waters, entertainment, a supermarket and other infrastructure directly on the site, you should perhaps choose a different destination. We want the peace and seclusion :)
