- Robert B.May 2024PozitívumokLarge pitches on well-kept grounds under beautiful, large trees. Reception with bar, extremely friendly and helpful staff. Clean and modern sanitary facilities.NegatívumokWLAN only at reception/bar. But good there and free of charge.Beautiful plotsSuitable for caravans. Camping offers reservation for canoe trips with pick-up service directly from the site. It was uncomplicated and worked wonderfully. Also direct access to the river.Automatikusan lefordítva.

- Christian H.August 2022PozitívumokDirectly on the river, small private beach, nice landlord, almost 70 pitches, new sanitary facilities, super clean. We were there with a large tent and 3 children.NegatívumokNo pool, no playground for older children.Top placeWe would recommend it to others. Pitches mostly in the shade.
Small bar with snacks available.Automatikusan lefordítva. - Frank W.April 2022PozitívumokShady pitches in a quiet location Cordial and helpful operator Top sanitary buildingNegatívumok(not all service facilities are fully available at the beginning of the season). The place lives up to the expectations of the other reviews! We stayed for a few days at the beginning of April at this beautifully situated and small, family-run campsite on the Ardèche. Please note: According to the campsite's website, it has been open since April 1st and we can confirm this, the information here at Camping.info (April 17th) is unfortunately... incorrect. So it's always better to check the operator's website...
The pitches, some of which are bordered by small hedges, are slightly sloping, so putting up tent pegs was no problem. The first row towards the Ardèche is a little lower and is reserved for campers, but was still cordoned off in April.
The sanitary building, which is separate from the reception, was still closed due to construction work, but the final installation work was already coming to an end so that everything would be ready for Easter. As far as can be seen, it will have very good facilities. The small sanitary annex at the reception remained for what felt like 10 guests, everything was also clean and fully equipped, including toilet paper.
There is also a baguette service with fantastically good croissants (don't forget to order in advance in the evening) and the small coffee and drinks bar with terrace was open, but the small restaurant was unfortunately still closed. Some groceries and daily necessities are available from the bar as emergency supplies.
The very friendly operator is passionate about his work and was also on hand with help and advice when we asked him for a store with camper accessories because we had damaged the front wheel of the camper van during one of the countless "ralentisseurs" and needed a replacement. We found what we were looking for in Vallon and Grospierres on his advice.
The well-signposted site is indeed somewhat remote compared to the large sites in Vallon opposite, but that's exactly what we were looking for. It's a lovely place to relax. We left 100% satisfied and would love to come back.
p.s. A walk through the village of Salavas is also worthwhile.Automatikusan lefordítva. - Sandra R.July 2018Pozitívumok+ Direct location with a beautiful shallow beach directly on the Ardèche + Friendliness of the staff + Spacious pitchesNegatívumok- Without a bike/car you are a bit remoteActive week directly on the ArdècheWe chose the campsite because of its direct location on the Ardèche and its proximity to Vallon Pont d'Arc and were not disappointed. The campsite was completely full, as it was high season, but it never felt overcrowded. The site is rather small, family-run and English is also spoken. The manager is... always present, gives tips and takes guests' concerns seriously. The campsite itself is very quiet (except on the evening mentioned later). You can only hear music from the campsite opposite. We had a pitch in the front row (for caravans/motorhomes). Below a small wall there is another row for tents. Due to the bushes on the Ardèche embankment, you don't have a direct view of the river, but that didn't bother us. The pitch was large, but the only drawback was that it sloped a little towards the front, so we had to pitch a good 15 cm underneath. Thanks to our helpful neighbors, this also went very quickly. The sandy beach belonging to the campsite is very nice and, unlike many other campsites we have seen along the Ardèche, you can also get into the water here with small children. However, bathing shoes are recommended due to the stones. There is a small playground for younger children and a large meadow with football goals and baseball baskets. There is also a table tennis table. Petanque is also played every evening. The sanitary facilities are a bit outdated, but were always clean (they were cleaned twice a day). We can't say too much about the catering. Bread can be pre-ordered the evening before. There is a bar where you can order snacks. Once a week (at least in high season) there was a communal evening where paella was cooked. In addition, the chicken griller came to the campsite one evening with his trolley. The campsite has a partnership with a local canoe company. You are picked up from the campsite and brought back again. The 8 km mini trip on the Ardèche was great and a huge experience for our two children. The region is also great for hiking. However, you need to be mobile as there is no bus from the campsite. You also need a car to go shopping. In addition to the French chain Carrefour, there is also a Lidl in Vallon. All in all, we can recommend the campsite without reservation and would choose it again at any time.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Carsten G.August 2017Pozitívumokfriendly, shady, smallNegatívumokThe unisex sanitary facilities, where showers and toilets are right next to each other, take some getting used toAdventure and relaxationA small campsite with friendly staff who speak very good English. We had a large, shady pitch with old trees suitable for hammocks. The site has a small sandy beach. The Ardeche is rather shallow at this point and therefore also suitable for children to swim in. Bathing shoes are an advantage. The site itself is quiet and free from traffic noise. Noise can be heard from the campsite on the other side of the river.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Silke S.August 2017PozitívumokQuiet family placeNegatívumokNone for the space!Quiet, clearly laid out family plotLocated directly on the Ardeche, this site is quiet and well laid out. The site is of course full in high summer, but we were able to get a pitch without booking in advance. The staff are very helpful, friendly and speak English. The beach is very nice with quiet spots on the Ardeche. Although it is... a nature park, the surrounding area is very commercialized with thousands of canoes on the river in high season. Nevertheless, we had very relaxing days in Salavas.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Stefan S.July 2017Camping Le ClapasGreat campsite under family management! Located directly on the water with a small but very clean private beachAutomatikusan lefordítva.
- Anja L.June 2017PozitívumokManageable, cozy, quiet, clean, friendlyPerfect quiet placeLovingly designed, very well-kept, small campsite with a family atmosphere. The operator and his staff are very friendly and speak fluent English. The mobile homes are not too close together, which ensures privacy. Our mobile home was very clean, functional and modern.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Peter F.May 2015PozitívumokConveniently located-beautiful hiking trails-an area that is still fairly untouchedNegatívumoknone come to mindNice, small, quiet and clean placeWe stayed at this campsite for 10 days in May 2015. The owner is very friendly and helpful. The place is clean, quiet and conveniently located. It is a bit annoying when the canoes/kayaks are let into the water. The hiking trails are well signposted and very interesting. The sanitary facilities are clean... and well-maintained, but they are not completely closed. No problem in summer but showering on cool evenings takes some getting used to. We can recommend the site without reservation.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Der W.August 2014Pozitívumok- small - clean - directly at the river - supermarket 10 minutes - baguette to order in the morning - cheap - English is spokenAlways good - Our favorite place on the ArdecheAfter a break of 11 years, we were back for the second time (this time with our daughter) at this idyllic campsite right on the Ardéche. Salavas is 5 minutes away and the small town of Vallon Pont d'Arc is just behind it. The campsite is manageable and family-friendly. We have even noticed improvements... in service and cleanliness since 2003. The operators provide plenty of variety (disco, barbecue, pizza van and chicken van once a week). All the staff are friendly and speak good English.Automatikusan lefordítva.
