The Lac des Varennes campsite is located in the south of the Sarthe department, near Marçon. This is a great place for canoeing, fishing, windsurfing and waterskiing. The campsite is bordered by a 50-hectare lake on one side and the …Loir river on the other. There are various hiking and fishing opportunities around the campsite. The terrain is well organised with well-paved paths. The campsite actually consists of two parts. Both parts have two toilet blocks. The round part of the campsite borders the sandy beach by the sea. The pitches are separated by hedges. There are also various rental accommodations (such as bungalow tents, mobile homes, chalets and a Tit'home). The campsite is located on a lake and the beach consists partly of sand and partly of grass. It is located directly in the sun, but there are some parasols for shade. The lake makes the campsite very popular with families with young children, but also with anglers and water sports enthusiasts. You can play various sports at the campsite, including tennis, bocce and beach volleyball. During the high season, there is an entertainment team for children and adults. They organise sports competitions and there is live music and karaoke. In July and August, the café-restaurant is open and you can choose from a small menu. You eat here with a view of the lake.
