- Joachim F.April 2024PozitívumokFree hot showers. Hot water can also be fetched there for rinsing. Directly on the beach.NegatívumokNarrow driveway, very steep one-way street to get into or out of town.Difficult entry and exitWe were there with our 12 meter trailer. Helpful signpost at the L-shaped entrance to the campsite. Simple campsite with gravel pitches. No hot water at the sinks. Free WLAN only directly at the reception.
As it had rained we had to extend our stay for a day as the road leading up to the town is so steep... that it was impossible to manage with a trailer. Three narrow hairpin bends and at the top end there is another stop!
In the town there are many one-way streets and complicated routes for camper vans and caravans towards the highway.Automatikusan lefordítva. - Robert K.July 2019PozitívumokClose to the city; good base for Stromboli excursionNegatívumokSanitary facilities; narrow pitchesSimple space - somewhat cramped parking spacesGood enough for a city visit to Tropea or a trip to Stromboli as a "base"! I wouldn't want to go on a real vacation here! Why? The pitches under the mat roofs are quite small - here you stand door to door; or awning to car....s looks like a "camp"... The beach is nice, although quite narrow - it's fine... for cooling off! We didn't "test" the restaurant, but the location is great - sea view! Reception: 1 A - very friendly, very competent; we were also able to book the excursion to Stromboli there! Sanitary: old, the cleaning team made an effort - as I said: "I don't want to go on vacation here"... The old town of Tropea can be reached via a staircase; just a few meters outside the access road to the campsite!Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Jürgen W.June 2019PozitívumokClose to the town of Tropea (accessible via steps directly opposite the campsite)NegatívumokSanitary facilities in need of getting used to (clean but no longer in keeping with the times)Place with atmosphere but without any comfortWe stayed on the site for a week. Poor southern Italian conditions especially with the sanit. Hot showers only at certain times (8 - 10 am and 4 to 8 pm). Dishwashers and washbasins cold. Chemicals also take some getting used to. Lack of toilet paper and toilet seats obligatory anyway. But still, the... place has atmosphere. The location is unique between the sea with a small beach and the enchanting town on the rock. WLan free of charge only near the reception. SAT also possible. Good restaurant with a view of the sunset and Stromboli on the horizon. By the way: home-baked hot bread at the restaurant kiosk early in the morning. If you are leaving with a horse and cart heading north, you should explore the route beforehand. We were advised to drive in the opposite direction when leaving (this avoids inclines and city passages).Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Raimund H.April 2019PozitívumokPerfect location with great surroundings - it couldn't be better Friendly employeeNegatívumokHot showers only in the morning until 10 and in the afternoon from 16:00 WC without lid and without toilet paper. In need of renovation - urgently!Great location with poor sanitary facilitiesStayed here for one night in April. The location is perfect. The sea in front of you and the great city behind you. If it wasn't for the sanitary facilities. We would have loved to stay another night or two. If the sanitary facilities were good, you could easily stay here for a longer time. And of course at a higher price, as this place is really cheap.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Alexandru V.October 2018PozitívumokLocation : - on the seafront with direct access to the palaja. - close to the sights and the historic center. - shady placesNegatívumok- steep beach accessA modest, well-located campsite ....Seen in October, its picture is depressing. A few campers on the seashore ...Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Susann S.September 2018PozitívumokTop location, great viewNegatívumokfar to the nearest supermarketSimple CP in a top locationWe were lucky to have our small camper van on the "best pitch" at the very front left above the beach. This meant a private terrace with a view of the beach, bay and rocks. Close access to Tropea's old town via steps. Apart from Saturday evening it was quiet, WLAN only around reception. Every evening... at sunset, the backdrop of Stromboli could be seen in front of it, sometimes even with a clearly recognizable eruption. Highly recommended in the off-season. Showers are rather shabby, but clean and functional.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Richard M.May 2018PozitívumokBeautiful location Sightseeing tour of Tropea Excursion boats to the Aeolian Islands (10 min. walk to the port)NegatívumoknonePlace with a beautiful beachThe site is located at the foot of the town, the ascent to this leads via a staircase (approx. 40 meters in altitude), which is located right at the site exit. Pitches in the area near the beach with mat roofs large enough for Womo's, the other half more of a campsite due to the planting at close intervals... with tall trees. Sanitary building old but kept clean. Contrary to the sign, hot water all day. Overall well-maintained site. Restaurant on the beach, open at the end of May and good, but no credit card payment possible. Fine gravel beach with fantastic water.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Viktoria H.May 2018Pozitívumok- location - great sea - Price in May superNegatívumok- unfriendly - mediocre sanitary facilitiesGreat location, mediocre serviceFirst of all: excellent value for money in the low season (May/ 15 euros per night), great location at the foot of Tropea and right by the sea. Hot water showers free of charge, but only at selected times and brand new washing machine available. The sanitary facilities are rather mediocre even by southern... Italian standards, the pitches are rather small and maneuvering on the site is difficult. Restaurant closed in May due to building work. What bothered me most, however, was the lack of service. Called a few days before arrival to check availability. When asked if they spoke English, they hung up directly after a no (no mistake, we tried twice). No response to emails. The lady on site is not particularly friendly either. All in all, the place is good for a short stay and a visit to Tropea.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- resi c.July 2017PozitívumokProximity to TropeaCampsiteperfect to visit Tropea, we were there in July 2007 and it was very hot, under the stretched mats above the Womos no breeze came in, some have slept at night on the deckchairs, but this summer is also extremely hot, behind it the rock rises and therefore the air accumulates, we could still pay with Acsi... until 14.07. Sanitary is ok, drive out to get on the main road a little difficult, do not follow the navigation system that wants to let you turn right, you have to go through the village.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Co b.May 2017PozitívumokStarting point for tropea sightseeingGreat place for tropea sightseeingClose to the old town, accessible by stairs. Great crystal clear sea, old sanitary facilities, if you are looking for comfort, you are wrong here Free wifi Around 10 o'clock the baker comes to the square with bread and rollsAutomatikusan lefordítva.
- diego f.June 2016PozitívumokLocation directly on the sea Good price ratio friendly staff quietNegatívumokBlock dated utilities dilapidated facilities scattered around the campsite inconvenient gray and black water dischargeexcellent location at the foot of TropeaGreat for visiting Tropea for those who do not disdain to move on foot and go up via various stairs not recommended the two roads without sidewalks and very good slope. The facility is separated into two areas dedicated to tents and campers on land with access to the beach and the wonderful sea by walking... down a short flight of steps.Very friendly and helpful staff. Restaurant pizzeria with excellent food and average prices. Block bathrooms and shower dated and with asbestos roofing absolutely in need of renovation washbasins dishes and clothes without cover a single washing machine discharge gray and black water without grid and difficulty 'to position for drainage. Various dilapidated structures scattered around the campsite with piles of various materials. There is a need for a nice renovation to adapt to today's parameters. However I recommend it avoiding August of course.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Hans S.May 2016PozitívumokBrilliant location - right by the sea, just a few steps into town.Ingenious locationIdeal starting point for cycling/sightseeing tours. Right by the sea. Friendly, helpful staff.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Massimo m.August 2015Poorly maintained value for money non-existent do not recommendaway away only if everything is full dirty poorly kept unpleasant in every way overpriced for service beautiful only TropeaAutomatikusan lefordítva.
- Robert F.May 2015PozitívumokPerfectly located cheap (15 €)NegatívumokAncient sanitary facilities, not much more than a dusty parking lotPerfect for a visit to TropeaIt's actually just a dusty parking lot with electricity and ancient sanitary facilities. But perfectly located for visiting Tropea (50 m to the stairs to the old town). Sanitary facilities are ancient but clean, hot water is available all day despite the sign "only 16:00 to 20:00". There are also no... more mat roofs, or not yet in May. The access road is ok, always drive towards the harbor and then a bit further. The descent is exciting, first a few steep hairpin bends up the mountain and then through narrow, parked roads out of the village. But it's all doable, even with our 8m with bike carrierAutomatikusan lefordítva.
- pasquale p.July 2014Pozitívumokyou're practically at seaNegatívumoknoneunforgettablewonderful, good price, courtesy, and needless to write so much is wonderful go for sure. the staircase to the village is tiring but worth it for both sweet and savoryAutomatikusan lefordítva.
- Sylvia P.August 2013Yes..., we have felt most comfortable on this pitch in Tropea so far. The reception was very friendly, we were shown several pitches for our motorhome on August 11th and were able to choose. The site is relatively small, there are quite narrow pitches for camper vans with mattress roofs and a meadow... for tents. Shortly before the peak season, everything was always full and it got really cramped on the tent meadow. The sanitary building is getting on in years and could do with a complete refurbishment - as was done at the neighboring site two years ago. One side of the showers (cold water only) is virtually unusable. Instead, hot water pipes were installed on the other side years ago. However, the hot water is only available from 4pm to 10pm. Cleaning is good, but very old sanitary buildings never look as clean as new ones. The site is right by the sea, with steps leading down to the beach. There is a bar on the sea terrace where you can get croissants, coffee and snacks. For shopping you have to go down the stairs into town or to the store in the Pineta (towards the harbor). Disposal only possible in the canal at the sanitary building - access with the camper past the tent meadow is difficult. Also only permitted at certain times. There are certainly better and more modern pitches with fewer compromises and downsides, but we still felt totally at home and would come again any time.Automatikusan lefordítva.
