- Stefan E.August 2017PozitívumokIf you want to get to know Wissant, then the location of the campsite is perfect.NegatívumokBad condition of the toilets and showers, unhygienic and defectivegood location directly at Wissant, bad condition of toilets and showersThe campsite is located right next to the village of Wissant. You can reach the village's beautiful beach on foot. The reception was very friendly. That was the plus point. There are 80% permanent campers on the site. As a tourist, you feel as if you are a guest on a moderately well-kept allotment site.... Tourist pitches for tents and caravans are at the very end of the site. The sanitary facilities were terrible, a disaster. I'm really not demanding and simple facilities are enough for me, but I've never experienced anything so unhygienic. The sink for the dishes was right next to the toilet, which was very badly cleaned. You could only shower in dirty containers. Totally poorly maintained and badly cleaned toilets. That's a shame, so I can only advise against it.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Helmut N.July 2017Pozitívumok- Proximity to the sea - Interesting hinterland - Good shopping facilities - Many restaurants/pubs and cafésNegatívumok- Sanitary facilities in the rear area - Lack of reservation options - Difficult access to the beach - lack of parking space at the entranceWell, here goesPlatz is located in the middle of Wissant. This place is purely a tourist resort. It consists almost exclusively of vacation apartments/houses. Reservations are not made. It can therefore happen that the pitch is "complete" on arrival. The space at the reception is then only for absolute experts. There... is no parking space for new arrivals, i.e. a caravan in front of the barrier and the access to the site is closed for the time being. Other vehicles then block the narrow access road. If such a caravan is then not allowed in... Shopping facilities within walking distance are ok (small supermarket, boulangerie in the town center). There are also the usual tourist stores for clothes, souvenirs etc. and many restaurants and pubs. About 10 km further on in Marquise there are large supermarkets with everything you need in France. Large, clean beach with a view of England (when it's not foggy). From the campsite to the beach approx. 500m footpath with deep sand, i.e. difficult to overcome, so that one cannot really speak of proximity to the beach. Access to the beach via the Wissant promenade is less difficult but further. The site is located on a nature reserve with a lake. This lake can actually be reached from the campsite, but there are no signposts. Swimming in the lake is prohibited. The hinterland is surprisingly mountainous, and if you have a suitable map you can enjoy beautiful, albeit strenuous, cycle tours. I can only advise against cycling along the main routes, especially during the high season. Separate cycle paths are completely unknown here. The tent pitches at the back are partly shady and actually beautifully laid out. Our pitch resembled a garbage dump on arrival. After removing the cigarette butts and other garbage, it became a bit more homely. The ground is very hard, pegs are almost impossible to get into the ground in dry conditions. The condition of the toilet facilities at the end of the campsite, where the campers are sent, was terrible. There was no functioning lighting. Repairs are only carried out very carelessly, if at all. During our stay, 2 of the 4 toilets at the wash house were permanently locked. The other two looked accordingly. Toilets, shower containers and washing facilities are permanently under water. Sinks, laundry sinks and sanitary sinks are not marked. Accordingly, all sinks are used for everything. Very appetizing when there is leftover pasta in the sink while brushing your teeth. There are no waste garbage cans in the sink area, so leftover food remains in the sinks. The outlet for chemical toilets is well camouflaged, so where does the stuff end up? As the site is also largely a transit site, the mess in the sanitary facilities is correspondingly bad. The condition of the sanitary blocks at the beginning (permanent campers) seems to be somewhat better. In any case, we used the showers there. Conclusion: The site gives the impression of being completely managed by a soulless authority. The site itself is good, but the management is completely loveless. This expressly does not apply to the German-speaking lady at reception. There is a lack of a dedicated manager with his own budget for repairs and necessary changes (e.g. entrance parking lot). I would not recommend it for planned family vacations in the high season due to the lack of reservation options. This is a case of saving money in the wrong place. Too bad, otherwise I would like to come back.Automatikusan lefordítva.

- Suzi P.May 2017PozitívumokNoneNegatívumokWhen you turn up to find no spaces it's almost I possible to turn around in the narrow busy street. This site trades solely on its locationDon't go thereThis place may have a good location. But that's about it. We phoned on a Monday to reserve places for a long weekend starting on a Thursday. They would not take reservations but said they had plenty of space. When we arrived the sign said they were full. We were not alone. 5 other families arrived with... the same information. One family had traveled for 6 hours from Germany. The office was due to open at 14:30. At this hour he owners wife told us to go away they were full, no point waiting at the gate, she then hid in the back office. Not content with this response I knocked on the door. She came out on her high horse and passed us over to her husband. He was very aggressive and told us to get lost. When I pointed out he had lured us to his camp site with the prospect of spaces, the least he could do was to phone around to find another site with spaces. He basically gestured washing his hands to say not his problem and left us stranded! I would give this place 0 stars for service, but it's not possible. Whilst waiting I used their facilities. Not impressed. The campsite was over crowded and the children's play area was very small for the size of site and looked unclean and in need of refurbishment. DO NOT TURN UP HERE with the hope of a place. On google maps it's a big site but most pitches look to be permanent, leaving only a few spaces for short term tourists. The owners trade on their location not on their service.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Renate L.October 2015Pozitívumokfriendly, quiet, clean, close to the sea, nice for walks or excursionsNegatívumokNo luxuryVery friendly, good for relaxingThe reception was very friendly, the pitch was well laid out with hedges. The sanitary facilities were simple, but clean and tidy, even though it was fall and less busy. The distance to the sea is not far, it's nice to go for a walk there. It's definitely a good place to swim in summer. I spontaneously stayed a little longer than planned.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Michael M.June 2010The site is firmly in the hands of permanent campers, so that only a few pitches, and tiny ones at that, remain for travelers. The access from the site to the small lake remained hidden from me and is probably only known to insiders. The distance to the beach is still acceptable. The sanitary facilities... were a mixture of dirty toilets and reasonably clean showers that took some getting used to. The disposal for chemical toilets is underground and consists of an unmarked hole covered with a steel flap in front of the sanitary block. I only found this by chance. The groundsman was friendly and eager to help, but he can only work with what he is given. The location in the village itself is fine; not too close and not too far. There are plenty of excursion destinations in the surrounding area. It's a shame, more could be made of this place with good will.Automatikusan lefordítva.
