- Meike H.július 2021PozitívumokI liked the proximity to the sea and the small stores all around.NegatívumokWhat I didn't like: The sanitary facilities (the showers were freezing cold and far too few, so you had to queue) There is no supermarket nearby. If you want to cancel, you don't get your money back. The noise level 24/7.Not againCertainly a little paradise for surfers, young people in a party mood and large families. But not recommended for middle-aged couples longing for some peace and quiet.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Heiner L.június 2018PozitívumokDirectly by the sea, quiet, directly in the forestNegatívumokSanitary facilities could be betterCamping in the great outdoorsSuper place under pine trees. Quiet and shady if you want and a stone's throw from the Atlantic. Nice restaurants and stalls on the way to the sea. Sanitary facilities could be improved.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Julia Z.augusztus 2016PozitívumokGreat atmosphere, sheltered, spacious, beach in the immediate vicinityNegatívumokFew direct shopping facilities in the immediate vicinity, toilets occasionally dirty.Great vacationsI have now been on vacation 6 times in LeGurp. If you like camping and don't mind sharing your toilet/shower/washbasin with lots of other people, this is the place for you. The entire campsite is located in a wooded area with pine trees, is very spacious and the pitches are large enough. There are direct... links to the long sandy beach and there are a few stores and restaurants right next to the campsite - which admittedly should only be considered in an emergency, as the quality of the food is not good. But you can quickly get to Champion or Lidl nearby by car. There are also many small markets in the surrounding towns. A day trip to Bordeaux is absolutely worthwhile. In addition, I have never had neighbors who were not nice and with whom you could have a glass of wine. The staff at Le Gurp are also very nice and courteous. The sanitary facilities are well distributed, but not always completely clean, which is due to the campers and not the campsite.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Martin H.augusztus 2015PozitívumokNature, beach and sea. The casual atmosphere.NegatívumokNo guaranteed pitch on arrival, wash house hygiene in high season,Great place under pine trees - but not for everyoneThe previous comments already describe the site quite well. Beautiful pitches under pine trees in the middle of nature, the proximity to the endless beach, where even in July/August there is plenty of space in all directions (even on the main beach you can usually find a spot without that sardine can... feeling). This in itself and the laid-back atmosphere and variety of different tents and travel vehicles is unique and very cool in its own way. What's more, there are really well-developed cycle paths to the nearby towns - something that is certainly not a given everywhere in France - which also make excursions with children who are still inexperienced with traffic possible. However, there are also a few downsides that I have not yet seen described in the previous comments and which should perhaps make some people look for another campsite. 1. the sheer size: this place is huge. For people who are led to this place by the attributes "natural", "pristine" etc., this simply has to be mentioned, because the mass of people can also be off-putting for some. Not for nature lovers who react phobically to the proximity of many unknown people. From a purely practical point of view, you should have a bike with you, e.g. to get baguettes in the morning. There are WLAN stations at the wash houses, which leads to reception restrictions in places far from the wash house. The bandwidth on the fully occupied pitch is naturally poor. 2. No reservation possible: at the end of July, when we arrived in the late afternoon, there were only a handful of pitches still available, all without electricity, unshaded or with little shade and very uneven or impassable deep sand. Over the next few days, the situation became even more difficult and many camped outside the campsite gates. If you've been on the road for a long time, this can put you in a vacation mood and having to change your clothes several times and queue at reception in the morning isn't such a great thing either. A relaxed start to your vacation is not necessarily guaranteed here. 3. hygiene in the wash houses: If all the pitches are occupied by couples, families and groups of young people, the wash houses reach their limits. Backpacking globetrotters, rock festival veterans and veteran southern European campers will still consider this to be a high standard, but otherwise I would say you could expect more here. The toilets are often left in a very rustic state and are only officially cleaned once a day. The showers are very cramped and offer almost no splash protection for clothing and footwear that needs to stay dry. As a result, the space in front of the showers is also full of sandy mud. Hot water is in short supply. There are also traffic jams in front of the washing-up areas. The lack of power points and the fact that there are very few people left who can live without a smartphone means that there is a multiple socket cascade with chargers for Apple, Samsung and Oral-B at the edge of the pool in every socket at the washing areas. It's all very casual, but also a bit dangerous, especially for children who can't assess the danger. For me personally, this was all still within tolerable limits (also in view of the low price), but some others may want to look for another place here.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Thomas B.július 2015PozitívumokThe individuality, the tranquillity and the atmosphereNegatívumokNoneA wonderful placeWe have been coming to the Gurp almost every year since 1981, first alone, then with children. Today the children come there with their granddaughter. For us, it's the most beautiful place ever. No luxury, but everything you need. The climate is pleasant and you sleep better at night than in the south.... Somehow strange: either you only come once, or again and again, through the generations. In any case, we come back often (and hope to) because nowhere is better and more relaxing. The simple but cozy restaurants on the beach are also highly recommended, as is the boulangerie. In short: a paradise that everyone can afford.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Doris B.augusztus 2013Unique place with a great atmosphere, despite its size it is usually quiet and very relaxed. Ideal for surfers, families and anyone who likes things a little more unconventional. Simple wash houses, often with waiting times at peak times. Most of the pitches are between pine trees, only the edge of the... dunes is in full sun. The Atlantic here is wild and often not without danger, the beach is very narrow at high tide, but you can walk for miles along the sea. Excellent cycle paths to Soulac, Grayan and Montalivet. In the high season, the campsite is usually full and you'll only be lucky to get a pitch straight away. However, there are a few alternative options in the surrounding area.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Silli H.július 2013PozitívumokVery large site, lots of children and beach access. But "hippie atmosphere" www punkt gurp punkt de is the unofficial fan siteNegatívumokThe current on the unguarded stretch of beach is adventurous and life-threatening.Last year 2 weeks - this year definitely 3 weeks ;-) with 5 children between 1.5 and 15 years oldAutomatikusan lefordítva.
- Daniel J.július 2012The campsite "Le Gurp" is largely unspoilt, is run by the commune "Grayan Et L Hopital" and is located directly on the kilometer-long sandy beach (approx. 150 meters behind the dunes). I would say that in the main season, well over 70% of the guests come from Germany. Many of them are repeat visitors... and stay for several weeks. I myself have been there 4 times, in 2004 and 2007 with friends, in 2009 with family and in 2012 as a couple with my girlfriend. I will certainly go there again, maybe next time with my own children.... In my opinion, the campsite is best suited for families with children. But you can also relax here as a younger or older couple. Youth groups are tolerated as long as they behave themselves, respect the night's rest to some extent and don't get drunk in other people's tents. Otherwise, the regulations on this campsite are quite relaxed, so you should be aware of this and not be bothered by every little thing as a guest. There are two entrances to the beach: the main entrance, where the supervised bathing area is located. The beach is naturally very busy here and it is recommended that families with children visit this area to swim. There is also access directly from the rear area of the campsite. The number of visitors is somewhat lower here and if you walk a few hundred meters along the sea, you are almost completely alone at some point and can do whatever you want. There are 1000 pitches on the site (of which around 250 have electricity) and (if I haven't miscounted) 7 large wash houses. The cleanliness could leave something to be desired for some people... The wash houses are cleaned in the morning and then the guests are responsible for keeping them clean. The toilets are "unisex" - men and women are not separated (there are still urinals for men). Those who are not bothered by this will be pleased with the hot showers (temperature not adjustable) at no extra cost. There is a supermarket at the beach access (quite expensive) and a bakery. There are also stores with camping articles, press and some restaurants. The nearest supermarkets (Aldi, Lidl etc...) are located in the surrounding towns (approx. 10 km each) There is no official homepage on the Internet, but some German fans have created quite good information pages (just search for "Le Gurp")Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Gabriele B.július 2012It was our first time at dot ;o)) A very simple site without a lot of frills! It's not possible to book in advance, you're lucky if you get a free pitch (with electricity) during peak times. Or you wait a few days in front of the pitch until something becomes free... The surroundings are a dream...Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Dagmar K.július 2011The old wash houses have been replaced and there are more places with electricity.Automatikusan lefordítva.
