- melanie k.August 2023Pozitívumokbeautiful nature, in the middle of the forest, free choice of pitches, restaurant very good, beautiful walksNegatívumokno store, but in Postojna you can stock up on food beforehandBeautiful, natural camp in the middle of the forestWe stayed at the camp for 2 nights when we were passing through, and I have to say we'd love to come back. And we did, we stayed here again on our return journey.
The camp is beautifully situated in the forest, beautiful straight pitches, some of them uneven, but there is simply a lot of nature here....
Suitable for all types of campers, including large mobile homes.
There is also rental accommodation, which I didn't look at.
Check-in is quick and easy, great staff.
There is a restaurant on site, with take-away food also available. Very good and absolutely okay in terms of price.
The pool is small, but it's good enough for refreshment.
The sanitary facilities are old-style, not very nice, but very clean and spacious. That is more important than beautiful design.
There is a 5 km walk to Postojna Cave. It's strenuous, but doable.
There is a playground for children. There is a tennis court, a boules court, a volleyball court and baseball can be played.Automatikusan lefordítva. - Ludwig O.June 2023PozitívumokEnglish-speaking reception free choice of seats clean sanitary facilities good place to eat on site ideal starting point for a visit to the stalactite cave,NegatívumokDue to the lack of pitch allocation and the free choice of pitches, some campers simply park with little consideration, without worrying that others will arrive. This is not a shortcoming of the site, but rather the unreasonableness of some guestsIdeal place to visit the stalactite caveThe campsite is located in the middle of the forest. We used it as a starting point for a visit to the stalactite cave near Postojna and stayed there for 2 nights.
The friendly reception staff speak English.
You can pitch anywhere on the campsite. There are no fixed pitches.
The sanitary facilities are... a bit older, but were always clean.
It is about 5 km from the campsite to the cave. With our e-bikes it was no problem to get back up the mountain to the campsite.
The price/performance ratio was absolutely ok.
There is a restaurant on the site where you can sit outside and eat well.Automatikusan lefordítva. - Britta R.July 2021Pozitívumok-Negatívumok-RecommendableWe have stayed here several times, recommendable. Suitable for a trip to the grotto and to LjubljanaAutomatikusan lefordítva.
- Rosmarie H.September 2020PozitívumokThe friendly welcome, the wonderful peace and quiet and the good food in the restaurant.NegatívumokNo disadvantagesShort vacationHighly recommended. Also well suited for a stopover. Many places of interest nearby.
Particularly romantic location.Automatikusan lefordítva. - Eva S.October 2019PozitívumokQuiet location in the forest, close to Postojna and hiking opportunitiesNegatívumok-Quiet place in the forest not far from PostojnaThe site is absolutely quiet in the forest. Free choice of pitches with many beautiful corners. When we arrived, it had been raining heavily for hours. There were very large puddles on some pitches in the lower part of the site (to the left of the pool), which disappeared again the next day. If you had... stood here, you would probably have gotten your feet wet. The store on the pitch was already closed for the season. However, you could order bread rolls at reception. The restaurant was open, but we didn't visit it. Hiking trails start from the campsite. We visited the Postojna Cave on foot from here, the location is ideal for this and the peace and quiet on the campsite and in the forest are a dream after the hustle and bustle of the caves. The sanitary facilities are quite old, but functional, clean and well heated.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Frank M.June 2019PozitívumokQuiet location and close to Postojna. Beautifully situated.NegatívumokIt depends on the requirements. An overnight stay at Camping Pivka JamaWe chose this campsite because of its proximity to the Postojna Caves. It is in the middle of a wooded area and very quiet. The reception was friendly. The sanitary facilities are a bit outdated but are kept clean. We did not visit the restaurant. The pitches are generously distributed in the forest. We can definitely recommend the site for those seeking peace and quiet. We would be happy to come back for a short visit.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Klaus H.August 2018PozitívumokBeautiful location Beautiful layoutNegatívumokInconveniently located gray water disposalBeautifully situated in the forestThe site is beautifully situated in a wooded area and has many terraces for motorhomes, caravans and tents. There is both shade and sunbathing areas. The small swimming pool at the site was very clean and okay. The sanitary facilities were clean, perhaps in need of some renovation! Free WLAN was available... in the reception area. Kiosk and restaurant available on site, but we didn't try either. The visit to the Pivka Jama cave was very nice. Very narrow space/paths for large mobile homes. The gray water disposal was very remote. If you are looking for peace and quiet and closeness to nature, this is definitely the right place for you.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Philipp D.May 2018Beautiful place in the middle of the forestNo parcelling out, lots of individual tent pitches, enough flat space for Womos and caravans, laid out hilly in different levels, you can also get very individual Womo pitches. We were there in the low season. Sanitary building rather old but very well maintained, restaurant with typical Slovenian cuisine,... good food. The small camping market was closed. Bread could be ordered for the morning. Otherwise no shopping possibilities on foot/with a bicycle due to the remote location. Quiet place, friendly staff.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- A. H.July 2017PozitívumokShort way to PostojnaNegatívumokSanitary facilities somewhat outdatedCampsite near PostojnaWe spent one night there because we wanted to go to Postojna. The place is perfect as a stopover. Nice and quiet in the forest.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Thomas S.July 2017PozitívumokLocation, peace and quietNature campingThe site is in a great location. Not far from the route but still very quiet. It is ideal as a stopover on the way to Croatia. The sanitary facilities and washing facilities were clean and tidy. There are even cooking facilities. We indulged ourselves in the restaurant during our two-day stay. If you want to cook for yourself, there is a small kiosk or you can go to the supermarket in Postojna. Much has already been written about the sights.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Sebastian B.July 2017Pozitívumok- Good location for cave and cave castle toursNegatívumok- Outdated and partially clean sanitary facilitiesCampsite near the caves and with its own cave worth seeingCampsite well suited for overnight stays near the Postojna and Skokjanske caves as well as the Predjama cave castle; sanitary facilities outdated and not very clean - own cave at the campsite worth seeing - pitches are not marked - parking where there is space (common in Slovenia, and sometimes exhausting in high season) - For guests staying > 1 night: small pool area with separate children's paddling poolAutomatikusan lefordítva.
- Angelika W.May 2017PozitívumokRelaxation, peace and quiet, camping in the forest. On-site restaurant with menu available for groups.NegatívumokNo store. A few kilometers out to Postojna are necessary to get to the next supermarket.Camping on the mountain pastureAs a trained Austrian, my impression is that you are in the middle of an alpine pasture. The site is located in a beautiful forest, the pitches are shady to semi-shady. The pool is also very pleasant for a morning swim. Otherwise, you can explore the surrounding area by bike from this campsite - the... Postojna Cave, the Predjamski robber baron's castle and a cave right next to the campsite are nearby and can be visited. The entrance to the cave is right next to the campsite. Ideal for barbecues and relaxing in the middle of nature in the forest. If you love small, secluded spots in nature, this is the place for you.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Bernhard L.August 2016PozitívumokQuiet, clean, friendlyNegatívumoknoneFriendly, quiet campsite great for Pivka and Postojna CaveThe campsite is in a very quiet location in a wooded area. The access road climbs uphill and winds its way through the forest to the reception. We were greeted in a friendly manner and check-in was quick and uncomplicated. We were allowed to choose the pitch ourselves and there are plenty of power points... within a radius of approx. 30m. The pitch is mainly filled by overnight guests towards the evening, but there are also a few long-term campers. The pitches are stony due to the karstic landscape. There are larger flat areas for caravans and motorhomes. When accessing the pitches, attention should be paid to the ground clearance. Roots, stones and the various gradients of the camping paths should be carefully observed. There were also some cyclists and cars with tents, which were spread over smaller, stepped areas. The campsite has a small, refreshing outdoor pool. Sufficient and important for the children. The sanitary facilities were adequate and always clean during our stay, the water was warm and there were plenty of showers. The campsite has a restaurant with a terrace next to the reception. The food was well prepared and the prices were honest. We picked up bread rolls at the campsite market in the morning. The reason for our visit was to see the Postojna Cave. You pass it on the way to the campsite. As we were not allowed to park directly at the Postojna Cave with the trailer, we first went to the campsite, unhooked and then drove back again. The cave was worth seeing and impressive for us. According to the guide, this cave extends underground to the cave that starts directly at the campsite. The Pivka River starts at the campsite and has washed out the Pivka Cave. The Postojna Cave was formed further on. The entrance to the Pivka Cave is impressive, but we did not visit it.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Martin G.April 2016PozitívumokBeautiful natural placeNegatívumokTaps that waste too much water because they are not fully functional.Beautiful place for nature loversA campsite for real nature lovers, secluded in a beautiful mixed forest. Access from the A1: Postojna exit, continue towards the cave, past the cave entrance to Veliki Otok, signposted after the village. The narrow paved and winding road is about 3 kilometers long and leads directly to the entrance of... the campsite. Access is also no problem for caravans, as there are alternative parking spaces everywhere! Gravelled pitches are available for caravans and motorhomes. The sanitary building is no longer up to date and was clean during our stay. There are terraced pitches for tent campers in the shady forest. The entrance to Postojna Cave is around 6 kilometers away. If you like it easy, this is the place for you!Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Volker E.August 2015PozitívumokRestNegatívumoknoneAtmosphere with its own caveAbsolute peace and quiet, simple but good restaurant, house cave with the possibility to visit. Suitable as a transit site but also for a short vacation, close to the Postojna Cave. Simple but clean sanitary facilities, free choice of pitches.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Klaus-Peter A.August 2014PozitívumokClose to the cave in Postojna, very quietNegatívumokVery remote, hardly any sensible alternatives to the store and restaurant on the square.Great starting point for the cave in PostojnaThe site is almost enchanted in the middle of the forest. The access road is very narrow and you hope that no caravans will come towards you. You end up under tall trees, where the caravans are spread over several small clearings. The site is only suitable for tents to a very limited extent due to the... stony and uneven ground (no grass area). On the site itself there is a small swimming pool and the entrance to a cave, through which guided tours are offered several times a day. The small store has everything you need. The restaurant is okay, but doesn't really excite and is relatively expensive. The sanitary facilities are fine and clean, but still exude the spirit of late socialism. However, they are perfectly fine for a short stay. We used the campsite as a starting point for a visit to the Adelsberg Caves in Postojna. The site is well suited for such a stopover or as a base for mountain bikers, but less so for a longer stay.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Hans S.August 2014PozitívumokVery quiet,Negatívumoka little off the beaten trackVery quiet placeVery quiet site, a few kilometers outside the town. On a karst hill in the middle of the forest. Store on site has everything you need to avoid starvation. Sanitary facilities older but clean. Reception very friendly. Great MTB trail runs through the campsite. The campsite has its own access to the cave, the guide is much better than the mass operation in Postonja. Many transit campers. Free wifi in the reception area. Pool at the campsite.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Nik S.August 2014Kampiranje u kampu Pivka JamaJako zanimljiv i lijep kamp u blizini Postojne.
- Volker S.July 2014PozitívumokBeautiful location, lots of peace and quietNegatívumokSanitary somewhat "old-fashioned"Pivka Jama July 2014 with Quek JuniorIdeal campsite as a base for visiting the Postojna cave and the Predjama rock castle.the site is picturesquely situated in the forest interspersed with small limestone rocks.it is wonderfully quiet there.great for relaxing.the sanitary facilities are O.K.There is a small shop that is open until 9 pm and a small restaurant. A swimming pool is set up for swimming. conclusion: Beautifully situated campsite that offers a lot of peace and quiet.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Fredy B.June 2014Starting point for cave toursSituated in a wonderful fairytale forest, somewhat run-down facilities, especially sanitary facilities. Mostly clean. Ideal location for cave tours, there is an entrance to a lesser-known part of the caves on the campsite grounds - guided tours are offered in July and August.Automatikusan lefordítva.
