Beautiful little place in the middle of the vineyards
We were passing through for one night at the Saksida campsite.
You get a super friendly welcome straight away. We were allowed to choose our own pitch.
You have a wonderful view of the vineyards from all the pitches.
Campers with tents can even camp between the vines.

The sanitary facilities are incredibly... clean! There are a total of 4 showers and 4 toilets (2x for women, 2x for men) - but that's more than enough for such a small site :-)

There is a bread roll service in the morning. And of course the hotel's own wine is delicious!

We will definitely be back :-)

Location, hospitality, equipment! The price-performance ratio is more than fair. The camp is family run. The operators, father and son, speak Croatian, English and also a little German. There is really nothing missing a camping heart needs! Washing machine, washing powder, pool, deck chairs and umbrellas. Multifunctional beach field, massage on site, hair dresser bread/croissant service, fruits and vegetables from local producers, several stone grills including grill cutlery and grates, beach bar with cold and hot drinks. Another nice gadget is the fact that there's always a place in the bar's freezer for your personal cooling elements. During day time there's always a person of contact who cares about your needs. Reservations for various activities during your upcoming stay will be made instantly upon request (boat tours, ZipLine, quad, archery...).

Next year, the camp, which is only two seasons old, is going to be extended by another sanitary building with four additional hot showers, because sometimes there is a small waiting queue in the evening. In midsummer, however, there are alternatives, as there are still three outdoor showers with screens, beside the two indoor bathrooms.

We (36,45)were here in summer 2021 (august) with our daughters (12,14 years old). Unforgettable 11 days lay behind us. Our stay was actually still too short to discover everything this fantastic peninsula has to offer.
Each visitor gets a detailed check-in with tips depending on individual ideas of their... own vacation (sports, culture, recreation, children, culinary...).
Without these insider tips, we would certainly not have been able to enjoy many a dream beaches and local food in typical taverns (Konobas) in the back country.
We would also probably have gotten lost in the jungle-like landscape (fabulous nature!) instead of making an individually guided off-road quad tour through the forests and canyons straight to waterfalls and stone caves ;-)
TripAdvisor, Google etc. just cannot replace a personal recommendation.
We were positively surprised about the great and honest recommendations.
The spectrum of visitors ranges from young to old, from backpackers, couples and families with small children and teens.
At the campsite you will find everything from single-walled one-man tents to folding caravan family tents, standard caravans and self-builds.
Luckily, it is not oppressively quiet from 10pm on, but there are definitely no degenerating parties until the early morning hours.
The camp awakes between 7am and 10pm.
At the bar you can order hot and cold drinks from about 09am in the morning to about 11pm in the evening. As a cherry on top, on some evenings, with a little luck, you can also enjoy the pleasure of acoustic live music when some of the guests are picking up their guitars.

During our stay, mutual respect and tolerance between the guests and hosts were guaranteed anytime as all matters of course.
For me, by far the best camping in which I was ever a guest. If you're up to it you'll meet many wonderful people.
I am sure that in this camp every guest will spend his vacation exactly the way he wants!

Lovely small and quiet campsite
It is lovely spot with very friendly owners. Not too many pitches. Very quiet. Great food and WINE!

Small campsite in a quiet, idyllic location
The small campsite with a small pool is quietly located in the middle of the vineyards. The owner couple are very friendly and helpful. The access road is a little narrow and steep but can also be managed with a 2.30 m wide and 7.5 m long caravan. There is hardly any shade on the site as the vegetation... is still quite small. There is no store, not even in the immediate vicinity. However, a bread roll service is offered in the morning. However, the couple run a small restaurant next to the campsite where you can enjoy an excellent meal. The 6-course menu with matching wine simply surpassed everything. Trips to Trieste and Ljubljana are highly recommended.

- Small campsite in vineyard with swimming pool, covered cooking and barbecue area, seating; - Wine can be purchased directly, but otherwise no shopping facilities within walking distance, but: - Great restaurant with multi-course surprise menu and wine tasting (highly recommended - very exceptional... and fine food at a very fair price, a real highlight) - Starting point for excursions by vehicle, e.g. Lipizzaner stud farm or the caves - Bread roll service

Insider tip in the middle of the vineyards
Small campsite and motorhome site in the middle of the vineyards. Level pitches on gravel arranged around a small swimming pool, further pitches on several terraces. Small children's playground. Well-kept and clean sanitary facilities. Great restaurant attached - the 6-course evening menu with wine accompaniment is highly recommended.

Somewhat remote, but beautifully quiet and idyllic. Somewhat narrow, but feasible access. Super friendly and absolutely gigantic food.

The campsite is located next to a vineyard in the middle of the vines. There is a small but fine restaurant in the house next door. There is also a shelter where you can sit and eat when it rains. There is also a small swimming pool. The site is very quiet, but the access road is a bit tricky. The toilet... facilities are small but very clean. Wifi is included in the price and works. If you want to eat at the winery, you have to make a reservation by phone or email. And now the highlight: Ingrid Saksida serves the dishes that her husband Marko, a trained chef, conjures up on the table. What is on offer is worthy of a star! Simply great and at a super-affordable price. Where else can you get a pork rib cooked in a vacuum for 36 hours at 72°C? Or a piece of trout "swimming in a stream bed" and a dessert in a "flower pot"? The wines on offer and included in the price are also very good. We would like to thank Marko once again for the great food and award him an extra star!
