The sanitary facilities are spotlessly clean and well maintained.
The chemical toilet emptying system deserves great praise. We have never been able to empty our toilet... tank so easily.
In the shop you can get everything your heart desires, from a cheerful Moin to tasty rolls and all kinds of camping accessories that you may have lost.
We didn't try the kiosk next door. However, it was well frequented every day. Therefore, the offer seems to fit.

We had already booked online. Most of the pitches are sunny and there is little shade.
The campsite is right on the lake with a small bathing area. There is also a small playground there, which belongs... to the municipality and not the campsite. The water is very shallow and you have to go a long way out to be able to swim. Bathing shoes are recommended. Although there are no stones on the bottom of the lake, it is very overgrown with plants.
There is a cycle path around the lake.
There is a bistro on the site. The tenant is very friendly and helpful. Food is also available to take away. However, preference is given to guests who eat on site. So you may have to wait longer to take away. The food was very tasty, but it is classic takeaway food. The pizza is recommended and seems to be homemade.
The campsite operators are also very friendly and the store belonging to the site is well stocked for a site of this size. Unfortunately, it is not possible to pay by card in either the bistro or the store. The overnight stay on the site itself, however, can be paid for by card.
The wash house looked freshly renovated and was very clean. There are individual washing cubicles. Not every washbasin had plugs. The sinks for dishes were all equipped with plugs.
It was impractical that the showers, wash cubicles and toilets were in different rooms, so you always had to leave the wash house to change. The vending machine for the shower coins is in the hallway. So if you can't get by with one coin, you have to leave the shower cubicle to get a refill.
There are rags at all the washbasins so that you can clean up if necessary. I thought that was a good idea. But it would work better if they were absorbent cloths.

The entire campsite makes a very well-kept impression without appearing "clean". Very reasonable prices. Good and free WLAN. The parceled-out pitches are very level, adequate but not overly large and, with a few exceptions, have completely intact... turf so that you can stand freely regardless of sand or mud patches. Despite the frequent change of campers, it was always quiet on the pitch and completely silent at night. The sanitary facilities inside are relatively new, clean and without frills, but the washing, shower and toilet cubicles are larger than usual and everything is in good condition. As on many pitches, there could be more waste water outlets (gray water) on the pitch. We really liked the baby and toddler washing area, although we no longer needed it. Someone has put some thought into it. The bathing area is very nice, very clear water, some vegetation in the lake, but you are in nature. The small store offers everything you need for camping at fair prices. Cycling around the lake and in the area is nice, but you have to reckon with one or two small climbs (Holstein Switzerland). Boating (without a motor) is also great. We will definitely come back again when we get the chance.Automatikusan lefordítva.

The reception was very friendly and this friendliness never changed over the duration of our stay. Good infrastructure and sufficient sanitary facilities, which were always clean. Beautifully laid out, sometimes... spacious tourist pitches in an area dominated by permanent campers. There is a small store on the site for your daily needs. There is also a snack bar for in-between meals. The site is dog-free. Price-performance ratio with ADAC card absolutely ok and WD/WLAN included. The site is located directly on the lake, where there is also a children's playground, bathing area and jetty. Dogs are not allowed on the campsite. The pitches are mostly unshaded, sufficiently large and located on... slightly undulating grassland. There is a small store with a bread roll service and a snack bar. WLAN is available free of charge in the registration area. Shower coins are required for the showers, for 50 Ct the water runs for 5 minutes without stopping. The sanitary facilities are clean, modern and child-friendly. You can shop and refuel in Ascheberg, which is also easily accessible on foot or by bike. A visitor's tax is not charged, but there are litter bins, benches and signposts. We were impressed by the value for money, hence four stars.Automatikusan lefordítva.
