Nice staff, great sanitary facilities. ATTENTION: Toilet paper not at the toilet, but in the anteroom to take individually. It makes sense to always have enough!
As the campsite is surrounded by water, the ground is very soft. Therefore, you are... pulled onto the site with a tractor. There are separate parking spaces for cars. The town is 15 minutes away by bike. The pitches are large, you stand on paved ground and yet in the middle of the lawn. The sanitary facilities are well maintained... and clean. We didn't test the catering facilities on the pitch (we had already "dined" in the town), but they made a pleasant impression from the outside. We had a good night's sleep here and were provided with everything we needed, but at a price that was too high for my taste considering the occupancy rate. We were a bit unlucky, standing close to the restaurant under a row of trees with herons' nests. My husband was also hit by one.... The only negative thing to note is that a group of restaurant guests made a racket in the middle of the night, the operator, who was there, should have asked the guests to be quieter. The reception was very friendly and explained to us in detail how to get to the city center by bus. The location of the site is perfect, very quiet and idyllic in the city park, the... city center can be reached by bus or bike in a short time. The site and the infrastructure as a whole is unfortunately very unkempt, especially the sanitary buildings were dilapidated, dirty, smelly and surrounded by weeds. No gastronomy! Overall not recommended, unless for an overnight stay to explore the beautiful and lively city of Groningen.Automatikusan lefordítva.

I found a suitable plot for a cart (as the camp at that time quite empty). Toilets was cleaned, hot water enough in the bathrooms. WiFi works without any problems. - Friedrich M.September 2014PozitívumokInteresting, beautiful city within easy reachNegatívumokPlaces can be damp, mosquitoesDo not forget: Bug spray and bike lockTo get to the campsite, you should go to the campsite's homepage and type the address into the satnav, because I was chased through the cyclist and bus zone by both my satnavs. The groundsman wanted to put my caravan on the allocated pitch himself. In hindsight, I understood: the pitch is quite boggy... when it rains and due to the border of a large water-bearing ditch. The showers are sad: a tired stream of water from a shower head mounted high up. It wasn't clean in the sanitary building, but that may be due to the damp weather, as you inevitably drag everything in with wet grass on your feet. The sinks were outside and everything was always full of dead mosquitoes. We can only guess why. You definitely need a bike there to get into town on the beautiful paths through the park, but you should always lock it up properly even on the campsite. My favorite bike was stolen there at night. It was the first time in many years of camping that something had been stolen. However, it was also my first time in Holland. The restaurant on the campsite was closed. Johann W.May 2013The "Camping Stadspark" lives up to its name. You really have to drive through the city park to get to the entrance. Level, natural terrain, surrounded by streams and woodland. The pitches are spacious and only a few are separated by bushes. The sanitary facilities are functional and reasonably clean. The big plus is the proximity to the town center (approx. 3km). Bicycles are definitely recommended.Automatikusan lefordítva.- Jörg H.October 2012Even if you travel to a pitch at the end of the season, as we did, it's not too much to ask that the pitch is in at least acceptable condition. Unfortunately, this was not the case... Poorly cleaned (maybe not cleaned at all?) sanitary facilities, blocked toilet disposal and an overall rather run-down... impression. And on top of that, a comparatively expensive 20 euro pitch fee for a small camper van/2 people/electricity/night ... unfortunately, because the pitch is beautifully situated in the picturesque city park. The nice operators are probably not responsible for the poor drainage of the site, there were hardly any usable pitches available, most of them were just swampy. - Friedel H.April 2010One of the best sites we stayed at; the showers, sanitary facilities and laundry machines are the best by far. Well-planned, in the park, with the mini-farm for the kids. The site is ideal for a camper, a caravan or a tent. Top-class. But it is inside the city boundaries so it might be difficult for those hiking or cycling around.
