At the campsite itself, we were greeted by the very friendly groundsman Mr. Oswald, who is obviously really passionate about the campsite and its guests....
We had a small pitch in the last corner of the campsite and even from this pitch it was only a short walk to the lake and the sanitary facilities.
The access to the lake is beautifully situated, there is an idyllic meadow with plenty of shade, benches and even its own jetty.
The sanitary facilities were always clean and well maintained, with their own dishwashing room, coin-operated washing machine and dryer, as well as a room for emptying the chemical toilet.
There is a large restaurant, also located directly on the lake, with a large terrace and a great menu.
During the day there is also a kiosk selling chips, ice cream, etc. !

- Markus W.August 2018PozitívumokLocation on the lake, quiet, very dedicated groundskeeperNegatívumokNo 5-star levelNice CP, but no 5 starsWe (57/55) were at Camping Wagner with our caravan for a spontaneous long weekend in August. Despite the high season, the always friendly and helpful groundsman Mr. Oswald still found a pitch for us. The site is rather small with around 65 pitches. Around 25 pitches are for tourists. The location directly... on Lake Waginger See is brilliant. You can hardly hear anything from the main road. The on-site restaurant was well frequented, and not just by camping guests. The wifi is free and, depending on the location, is easy to receive. This campsite is advertised on the internet as a 5-star site. It therefore has to measure up to other campsites in this category. And it has some catching up to do. The pitches have electricity and water connections. There is no waste water or satellite. There is also no self-service market. But there is a bread roll service in the morning, except on Sundays. The sanitary facilities are clean, but not at the level of a premium site. You won't find a permanently manned reception either. In our opinion, this site is better rated with 3 stars, but then with full points. Despite the criticism, the campsite is recommendable. Electricity, water etc. all available. Even the dog is allowed in the water in the morning and evening away from the lido. The restaurant has a good menu and the staff are friendly and courteous. The direct location on the lake and the beautiful lido are great. The groundsman is very friendly and helpful. The sanitary facilities were always clean. The showers are sometimes a bit chalky and the water temperature fluctuates. The groundsman was not a little god but a nice, helpful caretaker (big praise). The lack of a store is OK given... the size of the pitch, but bread rolls came fresh every morning (except Sundays). Of course, a lido also means life, but the noise is limited and everything is quiet in the evening. The restaurant is not cheap, but the price is reasonable for the service. The place is great for cycling, swimming and as a starting point for day trips, otherwise there is not much there, no entertainment or similar. Shopping facilities are only available in Petting or then... in Waging. There is a restaurant next door with good regional cuisine. The sanitary facilities are clean but not ultra-modern. If you don't have high expectations and want peace and quiet, this is the place for you. Oh and the sunsets are really amazing. We will camp there again. What sets it apart from other campsites on the lake is its fantastic location. The nearest supermarket is in Waging.Beautifully situated place with special friendliness!In the high season, when the site was almost fully booked, we experienced exceptional friendliness and helpfulness, both from the owner family and the groundsman. The site is located directly on the lake, with a bathing jetty and slipway for small boats. The sanitary facilities are simple, but clean at all times! Children and dogs are really welcome! Especially the view every evening with the setting sun. A dream! The space on offer is unique! Everyone has their own space around the zoo - really great!
