- Cyril F.August 2023PozitívumokGreat campsite, beautiful bay for snorkeling. Large pitches, although sometimes difficult for beginners to position the motorhome straight.NegatívumokSanitary facilities should be renovated and better cleaned and maintained. Some of the shower heads were broken, mold on the joints, it smelled very bad. The sinks were also not clean and stank.Camping ViraCamping Vira is a good campsite on the whole. The staff are friendly and courteous. You can
can choose your own pitch, but there may only be a few available, some of which turn out to be "tricky" or are full in the sun. Electricity is easily accessible at every pitch. There are no water connections....
The location to the sea is excellent. There are shopping facilities at the campsite, but they are rather spartanly equipped and rather expensive by local standards.
The village of Hvar is 4.5km away, but there is only a "pass road" leading there, so it is doable by bike but very exhausting without an e-bike in this heat :)
But it is worth a visit.
Dogs are allowed but it says that they are not allowed by the sea. But nobody was bothered here, there were always dogs downstairs.
We would go back to the campsite.Automatikusan lefordítva. - Stefan Z.August 2023PozitívumokBeach and bays Beach barNegatívumokVery unkempt overall impression Sanitary facilities in a catastrophic, unacceptable unreasonable condition. After our arrival we realized that the place was closed and had to look for an alternative.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Tonka P.July 2018PozitívumokPeace Clear sea Friendly staff Beautiful beachesNegatívumokWe didn't find themExcellentVery satisfied! Peace, clean sea, close to Hvar, reachable by bike or on foot. Lots of hidden corners where you can swim in peace. Sanitary facilities clean, friendly staffAutomatikusan lefordítva.
- Marius p.May 2018May 2018The restaurant unfortunately only has a limited menu, the beach bar remained closed for the entire period despite the statement "open tomorrow". The existing supermarket is very overpriced.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Martin M.May 2016PozitívumokCrystal clear sea, close to sea, a lot shadows, ...NegatívumokNot suitable for cycling, ...A well campsiteThe last week of May are there still being preparatory work (on the roof of the restaurant, new pitches) so it is always something rumbling noise. As well as trucks have started to run quite a bit at the seventh hour. Bus (van) which drive in the town of Hvar is a little expensive (20kN / person - one... way). Wi-Fi worked very well - without problems and without additional payments (I hope that also during the high season ). The staff are friendly. Hot water never run out, but it is true that there were not many guests. Payment can be made with the cards - commendable.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Wenzel P.September 2015PozitívumokGood supermarket, roads in the camp are ok, connection with Hvar by bus is great.NegatívumokWifi is extra to pay, no hot water for washing dishes,!!! Solar is not enough, not enough chemo toi, not cheap!Camping ViraWe just came back on 28.9.2015, some information. Basically solid Campinplatz, for Womos some places i.O., e.g. 13 to 22, should only be rented to Womo!!! Would not be a problem, aúch good designation colored for tents and other Womo + caravans.Restaurant downstairs can forget, too expensive and staff unsympathetic, as well as at the reception not a good choice, do not help with space search, as elsewhere,.little card acceptance,,Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Eduard M.September 2014Pozitívumokgood locationNegatívumokPoor and overpriced gastronomyPoor and expensive gastronomyUnfriendly service, listless staff, lousy restaurant ( Cevapcici made in the deep fryer instead of as promised on the menu )Automatikusan lefordítva.
- hans T.September 2014Quiet place with sometimes long paths to the waterNice small sandy beach in a bay, places and San. Facilities OK ! Since in the Campingqueck catalog 2014 listed one should assume that in the specified time these are also accepted! This was not the case! Guests drive the whole island from Sucurai to Hvar (80 km) because camping corners are offered and then they are not accepted.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Dirk E.August 2014PozitívumokQuiet location, beautiful pebble beach ideal for children with shade if you want it.NegatívumokSome things on the pitch need to be repaired. The showers have solar panels, but in the evening there is only cold water.no more 4 starsThis place no longer deserves 4 stars, gastronomy despite very nice location very much in need of improvement. The café on the beach had some loose boards for seating. The staff in the café were nice and helpful. Online booking via internet, fax, telephone is ignored.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Hana Š.August 2014PozitívumokGood swimming and snorkeling.NegatívumokCold water in toilets, cleanliness, poorly maintained facilities.A quiet campsite that didn't impress us too much.We stayed in the camp Vira from 16th to 26th August 2014 with children 5 and 7 years old. Swimming is good even for children, the beginning of a gentle descent and after about 8m begins to deep, you can snorkel. The beach could use more cleaning - cigarette butts, papers... this applies to the whole... campsite. There is a mini golf, but it still remembers perhaps Yugoslavia, similarly there is a playground and a volleyball court. There's a ping pong table by the beach and a brick house with some toys for the kids. Toilets - the cleaners cleaned, but there was mould in the showers and we only managed to shower in the hot water about 4 times during our stay - only solar heating. Wifi works free in reception and bar. The bar and restaurant is by the beach, but the prices were higher than the restaurants in town - draft beer 30kn, lemonade (water with lemon) 18kn, cocacola was similar, small presso 10kn... (these are approximate prices I remember, we only went there once). You can't walk anywhere from the campsite, just along the main road with no pavement to Hvar, but that's pretty much out of the way and there's no promenade around the water. And one more minus, there is no possibility to buy ice cream, only popsicle shop upstairs at the reception, no miracle but at least something. If you are not too demanding and like peace and quiet with a nice swim it's fine. But without a car one would be cut off from the world.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Rainer B.July 2014PozitívumokSmall and PERFECT place.NegatívumokBad access road, but it's not the CP's fault.Very nice place !!!A very nice campsite, beautifully laid out around a bay. Sanitary facilities well maintained and CLEAN. Pitches almost all with trees, so shade. Only the pitches are not too big, OK for tents and motorhomes, only large caravans don't fit there. Fine pebble beach with rocks and also concrete sunbathing... areas. You can eat small dishes at the bar, the pizza was very good. Prices in the bar are reasonable and not overpriced. Pedal boats are free to use and mini golf is also free. The campsite's own store has everything you need. A very nice little campsite with very friendly staff.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Julian M.July 2014PozitívumokCleanliness, groundsNegatívumokTent campers must park their car outside, NOT guarded parking lot !!!TOP site, but car-free camping (!)The site is very spacious. Sufficient for motorhomes and very nice pitches with sea views. For tents, on the other hand, the pitches are a bit narrow, some of them without sufficient shade. Top sanitary facilities. Friendly staff. BUT one BIG drawback: Tent campers have to park their car outside the camp grounds. The parking lot is relatively far away and NOT guarded or locked. An absolute no-go for us.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Adéla S.July 2014PozitívumokWiFi , quiet, business and cleanlinessNegatívumokAway from the cityThe best campsite we've been to!We stayed at this campsite from 4 to 11 July, which is still low season, so it was cheap. The campsite is terraced so you can't have a car next to your tent- the only downside for us. The restrooms were always clean and modern. The campsite was quiet, no gypsies either. WiFi and a shop were a given. The campsite is about a 6 minute drive from Hvar town.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Hans-Peter I.August 2013+ clean campsite and clean sanitary facilities + beautiful bay, pebbles, perfect for children + pitches sufficiently large and shady + bus to Hvar, but 20Kn per nose + nice bar with tasty snacks and friendly service - difficult arrival - VERY unfriendly staff - (almost) no possibility to explore the... surrounding places on foot - three-pole power connections and too few adapters available for borrowing - very little choice in the "supermarket" and also overpriced, food must be bought in Hvar (approx. 15 minutes' drive away) - campsite was generally very full, which is why there wasn't always a suitable parking space for every car - relatively expensive (approx. 37 euros per day with a tent and two people) The campsite is recommended for anyone who doesn't mind being dependent on their car on vacation. However, the journey takes a long time, regardless of whether you take the ferry from Split or Drvenik. Traveling via Drvenik and Sucuraj is not ideal for larger vehicles, as most of the route is not developed.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Robert D.July 2013Super, beautiful campsite on the island of Hvar. Many pitches have a sea view. Sanitary facilities absolutely top (each sanitary block had its own cleaning crew). There is a slipway for motorboaters and plenty of moorings. The food at the resort was good, but the Konoba Ringo not far away was first class (not cheap either). If it wasn't for the long journey, I would definitely come back.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Karsten S.July 2013This camp gets 5 stars from us in all categories. A very nice location in a beautiful bay. The camp is extremely clean. Someone is always cleaning. The facilities for families are very good. We had a great pitch in category A almost directly on the water. We paid € 33 including electricity, wifi and... free mini golf. That's really not too expensive. In the evenings, great attention was paid to peace and quiet. Someone was always checking in. So we were able to sleep very well. We also really enjoyed the catering. The friendliness was convincing. We will come back here on future visits to the beautiful island of Hvar.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Dominik P.August 2012We liked it very much here. You can easily spend a week and more. Nice bay for swimming, places for diving and walking, good pub, good sanitary facilities, large quarters, there are even refrigerators outside (paid), store. A few minutes by car to Hvar and the same to the tennis courts. The car, unfortunately, has to be left in the upper parking lot, which is terribly dusty.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Fabrizio B.August 2012Excellent campsite, far from the town of Hvar, very nice and quiet place. New facilities and very good cleanliness,Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Gerhard & Sabine N.June 2012Very nice and quiet campsite. Friendly staff, great washing machines, good store, nice shady pitches, nice clean bay. Very good gastronomy nearby.Automatikusan lefordítva.
