In addition to the very nice location of the campsite and the very helpful staff, the check-in is well organized as well as the departure. The kiosk is also well organized, as is the restaurant on the site. The washrooms and showers were always very well maintained and clean. The swimming pool was well attended and the other leisure activities were also fine.
Negatívumok
The only thing we didn't like was the WiFi. Advertised on the website, but in reality, we were logged in for maybe ten minutes in a week, which can't be the standard these days.
Camping ground Sonneneck in Boppard
The campsite is a place to come back to and feel at home. The retail shop in Boppard was very nice, as was the Volk bakery in Spay.
This was definitely not our last vacation at this site.

The campsite is beautifully situated on the Rhine. The staff are very friendly and always ready to help. The wash house and toilets are always clean and you can take that literally as the cleaning staff are always present until late in the evening. A swimming pool with slide and sun loungers is offered free of charge and there is an extra children's pool for the little ones. The pitches are spacious and of sufficient size and are always well maintained. For the physical well-being is also provided with a good pizzeria with not too excessive prices. Mini golf is also offered, which is free for campers. There are many more positive things to say, but just come and see for yourself.

The only unusual thing is that the showers opposite the swimming pool are closed between 12.00 and 17.00, but I can understand why.
One of the best campsites
I am so satisfied that I have booked again for next year.

Very crowded and noisy in high season
The advantage is the front row with a view of the Rhine.
Bread roll service is also great bread rolls from the bakery

I was with my sister and her husband for 2 weeks on site my sister with caravan right on the water, I in a rented cottage it was very nice, the staff always responsive for a question. The restaurant very good we watched soccer there very nice service. All in all a very nice vacation with nice weather, we will definitely come back.

Super quiet place
Highly recommended, the said "dog excrement" on the site, are from the ducks, swans and geese.
So we liked it very much. Definitely recommended.

Despite the fact that the weather wasn't the best, we had a great time on our vacation. The campsite staff were very friendly and helpful. The sanitary facilities were cleaned several times a day and, with the exception of the lower toilet block, are very modern. The owner told us that these will also... be renewed if there is no flooding in winter. Our children especially liked the new large playground. When we went for a walk, we noticed that there were dog waste bags everywhere and that there was a dog bath and a dog playground. As there was also delicious food in the restaurant, we will certainly be back. Greetings from Marlies Herbert and children

The reception was very nice and friendly. For children a lot to discover, the place is large but well maintained. There are sandwiches and a kiosk where you can buy snacks. There is also a pizzeria. We felt comfortable and will definitely be back again.

Everything ok on arrival. Positive first impression.
Then off we go. Dog excrement from the pitch 31 assigned to us.
No control whatsoever on the part of the site owners because shameless dog owners who don't keep their dogs on a lead is a no-go.
We saw several times how dogs do their business on the... campsite instead of on the designated area.
Thank you for the lack of control and the lack of reprimand of the dog owners.
Topic toilets.
The flush is from the 70s.
It flushes, but despite a long push, there is still excrement in the toilets.
Clean?
The door handles alone are an endless source of bacteria.
10 toilets and only one washbasin.
Cleaning is done as follows.
First, quickly fill in the cleaning schedule without doing anything.
Then quickly spray an undefined center and the toilets and move on.
Tiles broken and dented.
All documented by photos, videos and witnesses.
Loose cables hanging from the ceiling.
An imposition. These were the worst toilets ever.
The shower was probably new and very nice.
But closed between 12 and 17:00.
When asked why, a snotty answer and stupid comment that was none of my business.
In the men's shower there was always no soap in the dispensers.
Three dispensers and always empty all week.
The kiosk should be open daily from 07:30 to 11:30 and from 14:00-17:00 according to the brochure you get when you check in.
The time in the morning was only not correct in the afternoon.
Sunday afternoon closed Wednesday afternoon as well.
When asked, the stupid answer came:
Brochure is old and I don't pay you 13€ an hour when nothing is going on.
Thank you very much but that's what you call customer service and friendliness.
Restaurant:
Unfortunately only cash payment possible as well as in the kiosk and you are asked to pay small amounts under 100€ in cash at the reception.

Outdoor chess minigolf playgrounds available.
We were there. Good pitch otherwise no repeat visit for us. C.K

In my opinion the place is clean, of course duck poop is not missing but no dog poop as others write Toilets in need of renovation. But are cleaned very often. Because our fellow human beings fill up the toilets and don't need to use a brush. But then make the operator bad that everything is dirty.... It's better to start by looking at what you could do better yourself. Maybe even use a brush and don't wait for the ladies to clean up your mess. Don't we all want to find a clean toilet? The staff are helpful and friendly and ready to answer questions. I can only say I will come back even if it is noisy from the train and the street. But I can't blame the operator for the fact that the train runs here and makes noise.

I can't understand the negative reviews about the noise. You are in the Rhine valley and you should know that there is boat and train traffic there. Of course you can hear these noises, but they were not as strong as many people write here.

The showers (main building) were renovated. The toilets were... functional. It was also mentioned to us that the open construction was due to the many floods. All clear! A renovation would still be necessary soon. Unfortunately, the showers, toilets and washing-up area never made a clean impression during our visit. It seemed as if they were only cleaned once in the morning.

The location is great, the operators very nice, the connection to the free bus top. The pool was open even though the website said it would be a few days later. We loved staying here.

Very nice weekend on the beautiful Middle Rhine
Arrived and received a very friendly welcome.
Paid straight away so no traffic jam at reception on Sunday on departure.
Pitches very well marked and also nice and big for the average camper.
Sanitary facilities, always very important for us. I have to say that the showers in the main building are new... and can be used without paying. The water can be adjusted from cold to hot. Really nice showers. The toilets in the same building are getting on in years, so they haven't been renovated, but that's not a bad thing. As the toilets are in the building but it is an open construction, it will probably be chilly when doing business in cold weather.
The second washroom building up the road is not brand new but not as old as the toilets in the main building. In this second wash house there is also a scullery with two two-burner hobs in the immediate vicinity of the tent meadow.
There is also a sanitary facility downstream which consists of small containers.
The sanitary buildings are cleaned, but can only be as clean as we campers leave them!
Bread roll service is very well integrated in a small kiosk.
The restaurant, our experience. It was very busy. Maybe we were just unlucky, but this year I have noticed that there are often long waiting times. Here we were told straight away that staff were unfortunately absent and it could take a while. We didn't mind but the children (1 and 4) found it a bit too long after an hour ;-) Shortly beforehand we were told that we couldn't get two dishes because they were sold out. So we ordered two pizzas and they arrived less than 30 minutes later. The other tables were busy ordering pizzas but we were still missing one pizza and three other dishes. When the two pizzas were eaten, we wanted to pay and just at that moment the others' food arrived. As we had shared the first pizzas, we did the same with the rest. The food was delicious!

Everything you need is there. Well-kept pitches and friendly staff. Great for watching ships.
There are trains and boats in the Rhine valley. Some people here always have to complain about this and include it in their assessment of the pitch. I wonder... what that's all about. If it bothers you, just go somewhere else. What does that have to do with the campsite?
We are much more bothered by the dogs or the other end of the leash. This has taken on forms that are often simply disgusting. One dog is a rarity, there have to be several. Even campers without dogs are becoming increasingly rare. The small business is done everywhere, even the big one we found on our pitch. I don't care about children or the next guests on the pitch. Many people don't care about compulsory leads, barking early and late in the evening, even in the restaurant. This is all a matter of course and must of course be tolerated.
Well, and many people complain about children playing, sad.
But many operators are thinking about banning dogs, thank you.

The invoice item "electricity connection". As campers, we didn't need an electricity connection and still had to pay €3/day for it. Statement from the operator: "We could have said that we didn't need electricity". Actually, it's the other way around, if you need electricity then tell them. We see this... as a rip-off. In addition, we would have needed a special plug and cable reels for the electricity. Of course, most of the nearby connections are occupied by motorhome owners. So electricity would be a matter of luck for campers. Only campers are allowed to pay for it.
About the pool. The pool has been painted several times. The new paint does not adhere to the surface. Therefore, every time we touch the edge of the pool, paint splinters stick to our hands. These were of course washed off in the water. There is therefore a lot of paint residue floating in the water.
The noisy surroundings. There are two railroad lines and the B9 nearby. As a camper, you have to get used to the nightly freight trains.
The restaurant. It is not possible to pay by card in the restaurant. You should therefore have enough cash with you. The sanitary facilities were often cleaned this season.

Hello, we have been coming here for years and feel very comfortable here. All the staff and the operators are always very friendly and very helpful. The place is very well maintained and there are many things for big and small (pool and children's pool, mini golf and much more) You should also not forget... that the place is underwater every year, and the employees and operators dismantle and rebuild everything, of course that can then lack some color in mini golf, but hey, is a colorful stone so important? The big dog play area is my personal highlight, it is always well attended, unfortunately there are one or two dog owners who are not able to clean up after their dogs even though there are bags. I would also like to take this opportunity to praise the cleaning staff, they do a great job. I'm an early riser and I was really ashamed to be a woman, there are real pigs and I wonder if it's the same for them. Everyone wants to have a clean toilet, right? We will continue to go here and let our souls dangle.

Hello everyone, we have been coming here for many years and can't say anything negative about the place, the staff and the operators are very friendly and helpful.
"When we come here, it's like coming home" is how we are greeted here.

Due to our stay, we also notice a lot of things, such as that many... things have been redone or renovated over the years with a lot of love, but not every camper appreciates this.

In the beginning we came here with two dogs and our son, who is now going his own way, but now we have several pets who are all very welcome here.

The value for money just tops it all off

We had a pitch right on the shore. There is a swimming pool and a pizzeria on site. You can cycle to the discounters, approx. 3 - 4 km away. They offer everything you need. There is a bread roll service on site, but we didn't use it. For cyclists, the route to Boppard, St. Goar is ideal. The staff are nice and friendly. The vacationers we met there were also nice. All in all a relaxed vacation.

We already knew that the campsite is located between two railroad lines. So there are trains and boats on each side of the Rhine. So everyone should consider booking the campsite if they are sensitive to noise.
Our first vacation on a campsite
You don't need much for a great vacation. A place in the sun, right by the water, is incredibly relaxing. As we do a lot of walking and cycling, it was the perfect place to start our daily activities. We spent the afternoons and evenings looking at boats. We mainly catered for ourselves. Once we got pizza from the self-delivery service. It was large, well filled and delicious.

Location nice, but toilets near pool underground
We were very disappointed here.
Long distances to the sanitary facilities and disposal points if you stand on the left side (seen from the map on the left).WC's next to the restaurant or opposite the pool very dirty.also the walls in the Wc's are not cleaned properly.hygiene leaves a lot to be desired.for about 10 WC's only one hand basin.
Very noisy, even at night, as there is freight and local traffic on the tracks on both sides.
