The space behind the slipway is occupied by benches and chairs belonging to private jetty tenants and anglers, which makes mooring difficult or impossible for boaters. You first have to find the owners of the blocking objects to be able to moor your boat.Water hiker rest areaThe campsite makes a good impression. A larger sales outlet would be advantageous.A hidden gem - camping site D66In the summer of 2018, we were lucky enough to camp as a family (son 14 years old) for two weeks on D66 with a house tent. It was a wonderful time. The campsite itself is idyllically situated in the middle of the forest. The nearest town, Prieros, is 3 km away. You get the feeling that time has stood... still here. And that's not meant in a negative way, but rather as a great advantage. Friendly, helpful and dedicated staff, who are always ready to listen, ensure that you have a great time. And that's exactly what you can do on the D66. Arrive, set up your caravan, put out your chair and then simply enjoy the view of the lake. The scent of the pine forest, the chirping of the birds and the occasional squirrel allow for deep relaxation. We found the campsite by chance on the internet and decided to start our 2017 camping season there. It was a great start and we will definitely be back again this year for a swim. The site is in a quiet location... and is free of any "plot charm", which means you stand as nature allows. It is a pity that the site may have to close. Overall, the campsite is in a great location and there are friendly campers everywhere you look. A particular advantage is the large shower house and the well-maintained showers! Another unbeatable... plus point is the ideal forest location. Between the lake and the forest, you can relax in all directions. Nagging permanent campers who probably don't like to share the placelots of peace and very spacious, nagging permanent campersWe stayed on the d66 for a few days in mid august as a stopover on the way south. the place exudes a bit of GDR charm. If this doesn't bother you, you'll find a spacious site in the middle of nature. We got a nice pitch right by the lake. Due to the large plots you have enough distance to your camping... neighbors which we found great. The sanitary facilities are a bit older but adequate and clean. I was a guest there last year and have just booked my vacation again for 2017 in nature with fresh air. I can only recommend this place to anyone, as it stands out from the crowd and also offers a cultural program for everyone. We were... warmly welcomed and everyone was helpful and friendly to us. Unfortunately, this campsite is struggling to survive, and not because of a lack of vacationers or a lack of cleanliness. I sincerely hope that the site management manages to keep the campsite open. It would be a real shame if the German authorities were to wipe this campsite off the map! I therefore keep my fingers crossed and hope for a positive outcome. Until then, I can only recommend everyone to visit this site if they want to see something other than grass! Unfortunately, this campsite is struggling to survive, and not because of a lack of vacationers or a lack of cleanliness. I sincerely hope that the site management manages to keep the site open. We stood with the view towards the lake. A small footpath separates the steep slope from the 1st row. Despite a small shower, our mood was not dampened if the permanent campers didn't come by from time to time with grim faces or even make unfriendly comments. Recommended route, recommended place. The location by the lake is wonderful. Most of the pitches are shady due to the pine forest. Early in the morning, it wasn't the alarm clock that woke... us up, but the many birds. Pure nature! Clean sanitary facilities, friendly site management. From Erkner, we took the Märkische Umfahrt with a detour from Prieros towards the campsite. Wow! A campsite on the water, good connections for us paddlers. Our own water hiking site. Alternatively, a pitch... in the 1st or 2nd row would have been possible. Very friendly hosts. Early in the morning, fresh bread rolls and (m)a piece of butter and a newspaper were available if ordered in advance. The toilets are clean and in order, the building is not the newest, but well maintained. The site is in the middle of the forest, very shady and yet there are gaps here and there for those who love the sun. We were able to hire bikes to visit the Haus des Waldes in Dubrow (very worthwhile for children AND adults!). We felt completely at home here!Automatikusan lefordítva.- Lutz R.August 2015PozitívumokPure nature, pitches not parceled out in the middle of the forest, right on the lake, super service for this level, a 5* hotel is out of place there anyway.NegatívumokThis little forest path "into the forest" makes me laugh, I don't drive a lowered Porsche.Why have we been coming back for over 30 years?Because the location is convincing, "pure nature"! The Schmöldesee and the campsite and surrounding area are simply fantastic. We remember the "D66" from the beginning with outhouses and hand pumps for water. What do we have now? It just gets better and better from year to year! But not the "few meters"... of access road, but others are responsible for that, which they obviously shirk. But if you can drive slowly, you can get anywhere. The management team of the campsite has (of course with changing people) become more and more of a friendly service provider, although I have never missed friendliness over the years, there are now also more opportunities to respond to the wishes of the guests.
