However, the pitches are incredibly small. We couldn't even extend the awning from our motorhome. We were right next to the barrier with a view of the garbage cans. Waste glass was often disposed... of in the middle of the night. The site also has no control, anyone can come and go as they please - even strangers. Our pitch had maybe two meters of space to the right, where a strange car was parked at night with people who had come to Zurich to party. The sanitary facilities are really subterranean. There was a dirty rolled-up diaper at the sinks for at least two days before it was removed. Sinks full of leftover food. The ladies shower is directly opposite the sinks, whenever someone is washing up he/she has the best view of the ladies showers. However, the location is second to none and the restaurant on site is very good with good service. If necessary, we would come back again if we come to Zurich again. The place on gravel was unworthy of a camper
The sanitary facilities were dark and poorly lit
The sinks are in a dirty condition.
The access to the beautiful lake is pathetic
(take a look at the campsite in Sempach Neudorf)
The price-performance ratio is certainly not right here.

This included the 'Fischers Fritz' campsite, formerly known as 'See Bucht'. I spent my first camping years here with my parents from 1968. The location, lake, bay, public transport connections, view of Zurich's lake bay, priceless...NegatívumokEverything else. Never again!Never againCamping 2023: Campsite still exists, but under a new name, bay still exists, but overcrowded with boat moorings. Sanitary facilities in the same condition as 50 years ago (were renovated about 6 years ago according to the reception). Lighting in toilet as in air raid shelter (yellow light as in 80s protection... against junkies). Shower like in cheap, old sports facilities with large changing rooms and open showers with plastic shower curtains (all dark). We arrived on Sunday and it wasn't cleaned until Thursday, garbage cans overflowing with garbage and empty shower and deodorant cans. In shower wet wipes and so on on the floor ...
Dishwashing troughs made of very deep, high concrete sides that have turned black over time.
Fresh water is fetched from a hose where the mobile homes dispose of their gray water etc.
There is also a trendy restaurant (the food is good, mid/high price range, nothing to do with camping). That's where Kilchberg and the rich people hang out. The camping food store looks good, but absolutely not a camping store (fancy food, vacuum-packed fish etc.)
Now for the best. We have reserved for a caravan of 6.5 m. reserved space. We got about 25-30 square meters. This is not camping, this is a supermarket parking lot and that for over 50.00 Fr. in the preseason. Place name 'See Sicht'. Where was the lake? In addition there is a PW parking lot of 5.00 Fr. extra per day.
The owners (city of Zurich) should take a look at campsites with today's standards in this price range!
Reception team nice but incompetent. We reserved 7 days for business reasons, but left earlier. We found a campsite outside Zurich that can also call itself a campsite. This place is an impertinence and insolence and has nothing to do with camping. Sufficient for ravers at Street Parade, Zürich fest or camping for one night. Everything else...... What a shame. Perfect stay to visit Zurich. Bus station practically on the doorstep. The reception was very friendly, sanitary a bit older but very clean. Yes, as mentioned in the other reviews, the sanitary building is a bit special, but absolutely fine. We were satisfied and can recommend... the site for a few days. And for anyone complaining about the railroad line or the main road: this is mentioned on the homepage and we didn't find it at all disturbing. I see a lot of potential to make it cozy with little effort. Unfortunately, everything gives the impression that it should bring as much money as possible.LisaUnfortunately, the staff is incompetent, disorganized and inflexible. Sometimes also unfriendly. We were allocated a place in the blazing sun without trees for a month's stay with two small children (1 and 3 years). Because the system does not allow it, it was not possible to change pitches. The pitch... itself is used by visitors and employees as a passageway to go to the harbor. So everyone walks through the living room. The seats are not clearly defined, which doesn't actually bother us a bit, the problem is that the employees themselves don't know from where to where you are allowed to stand. Suddenly we were allocated a spot that was actually very good, with shade and a view of the water. An hour later we had to pack everything up again. The pitch didn't exist after all. We were told that the secretary had exceeded her authority :/. Even though there was always someone there the weeks before and after.
We had just found a note asking us to report to reception several times. However, nobody at reception knew what the problem was.
So, back and forth.

Unbearable if you want to sleep.Top website, flop space, disco music every eveningThe site is beautifully situated on Lake Zurich and the bus stop is right on the street. You can be in the city in a few minutes. The restaurant is very good, expensive, but that's all here. Sanitary facilities okay, but with shower curtains and there is only storage space for clothes in the anteroom. Cleanliness is good.
The waitress said that there are always parties in the restaurant. With the Womo, everyone stands close together, awnings can't be extended. The toilets are cleaned far too late in the morning - disgusting. And from 16:30, the rich and famous arrive and park everything up because they're going to the restaurant.

It's a city site, with all its advantages and disadvantages. Some of the pitches may be small, but the great location directly on the lake (some with lake views) and good public transport connections to Zurich and the surrounding area make up... for it. The team is young and friendly. The store only offers a small selection of food, but the most important things are there. In the morning there are delicious pastries, at Switzerland's usual high prices. There is a restaurant next door, albeit a rather posh one and less suitable for a quick meal on arrival day. The sanitary facilities were redone some time ago and are completely O.K. You can live with the fact that there are no separate, lockable shower cubicles and only one shower curtain. As is so often the case, the degree of soiling of the sanitary facilities depends on the campers using them. Hot water is free everywhere. Washing machine, dryer and free hairdryer (also for the men) are available. If you have a caravan, you can park your car in the parking lot on the other side of the road for only 6.- sfr. p.day with a receipt from the CP. Only the entrance is a bit difficult with a large camper van or caravan. If cars from the restaurant also park there, it gets tight. Avoid lunch breaks and peak times for arrivals and departures. In the evening, you can sit on the beautiful covered wooden terrace at the entrance and enjoy a nice wine or a delicious beer with free Wi-Fi.
