"Information on the website is not correct - Misleading information on the website is probably intended to attract guests who are then all the more disappointed never to return. The driveway makes a neglected impression, the playground is littered with thistles.

"Never again..... - We were forced to find another campsite this year because our campsite was flooded in the Eifel. Judging by the good references we ended up here. But oh, what a shame. This campground owner and his daughter do not care about their campground or guests but mainly about making money. When you drive onto the campsite it makes a dilapidated, neglected and poorly maintained impression. The beautiful pictures and the good rating on Zoover is really from a long time ago. The only plus is the new plumbing near the ladies and in the back of the campsite. Only, unfortunately, that was not cleaned. In the almost 2 weeks we were there at the back of the campsite, it was not cleaned once, neither in the front nor in the back! Toilet paper was not or even replenished and it became busier during the week so it also became increasingly dirty, so dirty bah. Glasses were broken off and feces was up to the top of the pot. One day even the water and toilet did not work at all. You had to go to the front for a shower because the showers in the back were closed. Only if you thought you could take a nice shower after a long day hiking in the mountains, you came home (literally) from a cold surprise. The water from the showers was ice cold. We had invented to go very late in the evening, then it was alternately hot and cold. When washing dishes there was no hot water left if someone had been there before you. It was all clearly not calculated for so many people. Animation was not there while it is mentioned on the website. The restaurant was closed. It is a fairly cheap campsite but even then, for the money you do have to pay, you should expect a hot shower and certainly clean plumbing. This campground owners should definitely apprentice with the campgrounds on the Eifel. Then he knows how it should be to run a campsite and how to treat your guests. He also lied about the electricity. It is not 6 amp but 16 amp. All in all reason for us to never come here again.

"Space with expansion potential - Very friendly & nice operators, the access road is narrow, especially when two vehicles arrive at the same time. The site is on the B27 main road, so you can hardly hear it at night. There are no fixed pitches, everyone looks for their favorite spot. The paths are gravel. The sanitary facilities are old but clean. Too few showers and toilets when fully occupied. The restaurant is rustic, the food tastes great. The price-performance ratio is good. Good starting point to explore the Harz Mountains. WLAN only possible at the restaurant. Mobile phone service poor. Shopping facilities in about 5km in Herzberg am Harz.

"Small simple space - We used the site as a transit site for our trip to the North Sea. It is very conveniently located. Unfortunately, we were unable to try out the restaurant on site, as it was only occupied by 2 caravans and a motorhome in the off-season, so the restaurant remained closed. Very nice and friendly site operators. The sanitary facilities are old, the showers a bit small, but everything is clean. If we ever pass by again on our way north, we will stop there again,

"Nice little nature campsite - We always enjoy coming here. The operators are super nice, the site is now (after a change of operator) in good condition again and everything is clean. However, if you expect comfort camping, this is not the place for you. There are two playgrounds for children and you can splash around in the Oder. Electricity and water are easily accessible. There is no midday rest and there is not the same strict regiment here as on many other campsites, which is a good thing. There is always something going on here and yet you can still relax. There is also a small kiosk and a restaurant for refreshments.

Wer Urlaub braucht und gerne in der nahen Umgebung von Bäumen und im Westharz mit der frischen Luft und der ruhigen Atmosphäre verweilt, ist hier goldrichtig. Nicht nur ein schönes Restaurant mit Augen und Gaumenschmaus, sondern der Spielplatz und die …Futterstelle machen diesen Platz sehr sympathisch. Wlan funktioniert gut in Restaurantnähe und Duschen sind im Preis enthalten. ChemieWC kann man entlehren. Schöne Blockhütten zu Mieten stehen bereit. Die Umgebung eignet sich auch gut für Vogelliebhaber und Fliegen-Fischer. Aktivitäten vor Ort: Boule, sehr umfangreiches Programm im Sommer.
