Great location
We were there for one night at Pentecost 2023 with a medium-sized caravan and dog. The operators / employees were nice and helpful when booking and on site. Medium-sized campsite, partly very nice in the forest, well-kept, with everything a family with children needs (pool, playgrounds, etc.). Site was... very full at the time and very noisy during the day and only quiet late at night/evening. We have been camping for a few years in many parts of Europe, often on public holidays, and are used to lively sites, but this site was simply very noisy.
Store and snack bar available. Pitches not overly large, large caravans without a mover may have a problem, depending on the pitch. Electricity connection directly on the pitch. Water and waste water connection a little away. Sanitary facilities simple, but always well maintained and clean, sufficient in number. Location of the place directly on / in the forest and on a lake for us very good to go with the dog. Location of the site also very good for cycling to Rambouillet Castle (approx. 5 km). To Versailles approx. 35 km to Paris approx. 65 km.
Conclusion: medium-sized, beautiful, lively site, great location, surroundings absolutely "suitable for dogs", but not recommended over Whitsun if you want some peace and quiet.

Despite a written reservation in which we stated the size (width and length) of our caravan (730 Dethleffs) and a deposit, we were literally chased off the site on our arrival. They paid us the deposit and asked us to leave because the caravan and our T5 bus were too big.

Expensive but well organized
The campsite focuses on rental accommodation, but the pitches for campers are quite comfortable but vary greatly in terms of shade and size. The price is high and can only be justified by the fact that you can reach the Paris metro network in an hour's drive.

Stopover in Brittany
We made a stopover halfway along the route and landed here. The place was completely overcrowded. Loud, louder, loudest. We will plan the route differently in future so that we don't have to stop here again.

I can only agree with the previous writer. She described the site very well. It is a very natural site in a wooded area. At night you can hear owls calling in the trees. There are large nature reserves nearby with lots of wild animals. The site is located by a lake, which you can use for swimming. A... number of hiking trails start from the site and go around the lake and far into the woods. The sanitary facilities are very basic, but clean. The building with the recreation room looks a bit run-down. There is a simple children's playground, a beach volleyball court and a small natural swimming pool. The Animatino is very simple, but very loving and not mass-produced. Very suitable for nature-loving campers. But also for visitors to Versailles or Paris. The site is not too far from Paris, but it is considerably cheaper than the campsites closer to Paris.

Very nice, well-kept site, very large pitches, but only under tall oak trees (no satellite reception). Clean sanitary blocks, small restaurant, swimming pool without chlorine with natural cleaning. Conveniently located for visiting Versailles, for example, but we didn't have time for Paris. One negative for us was that even when the site was only 30% full, the car had to be parked separately far away from the pitch. We will be back.

Conveniently located for stopovers or excursions to Versailles or Paris. Approx. 2 km from Rambouillet, in the middle of the forest. Large pitches, shady, forest floor with lots of stones (pegs difficult to hammer in). Two sanitary blocks, clean. Reception building with small shop and restaurant, natural... swimming pool and playground. Cars may not be parked on the pitch, but there is an extra parking lot on the campsite. Original wooden cabins can also be rented. Entertainment is available in French. From Rambouillet you can take the local train to Versailles (€9.50/adult return) and to Paris. Pitch/night, high season for 2 adults with electricity 31 €.
