Washing machines and dryers available, very expensive at
70 NOK each, very expensive.
Good view of the fjord from all pitches.
With a bit of luck you may even see dolphins or whales.

Uwe M.September 2022PozitívumokSuper well-kept and clean place, great sanitary facilities, fantastic location and viewNegatívumokWater pressure in the shower somewhat lowAlmost perfectWe stayed at the site for one night with our caravan, two adults and three dogs. When we arrived around 3pm, the reception was closed. Opening hours 9-11am and 8-9pm. So we simply looked for a pitch and parked up, registering later. The fact proved true again: First come, first served. We were told that... we should only park on the asphalt pitches as it had rained a lot and the grass was very soft. No problem, we were early and were able to stand right next to the water. From 4 p.m. onwards it became fuller, so that the best places were quickly taken. However, as the pitches are on terraces, even those further back have a good view of the fjord.
The site is bigger than you might think at first glance. At the front by the reception are the tarmac pitches, primarily for motorhomes. A little further along the access road are a number of grass pitches. It almost looks like a golf course, as the pitches nestle into the terrain. Some of them are also terraced. There is also a boathouse.
The pitches (even the asphalted ones) are not completely flat, but if necessary there are boards to put underneath them at reception that you can borrow.
The wash cabins are always a combination of toilet and washbasin or toilet and shower, all unisex. Basically a good idea, but if there is a lot going on, separate toilets could make things a bit easier. Everything was super clean and modern.
There is a nice playground for the little ones right at the entrance. You can take dogs for a walk on the access road.
WLan is available with good strength on site (at least in the area where we stood). Sat reception is also possible.
From the country road you can only hear a rustle, because it is much higher than the campsite. So only a potential disturbance for those who want absolute peace and quiet. But the site is close to the town.

Nice sanitary building with a nice lounge.NegatívumokFresh water is only available at the sanitary building, the way can be quite far!Large square by the SognefjordThe site is spread over several terraces directly on the Sognefjord below the road, which is barely audible. If you arrive early you will find great pitches, and there are paved bays for motorhomes. You can take short walks directly from the site. The site is well suited for excursions to the Breheim... National Park with the Nigardsbre (part of the large Jostedalsbreen), where you can easily reach the glacier tongue on foot. The pretty stave church of Urnes is also nearby.
When fully occupied, however, there can be waiting times in the sanitary building, as the toilet, shower and washbasin are all in one cabin.

The site is in an exceptionally beautiful location and if you arrive early, you also have the chance of a nice pitch with a view of the Sognefjord.
The site is suitable for a variety of excursions, such as Kaupanger and the Naeroyfjord or the Borgund stave church.... As well as tours in the direction of the Lustrafjord.

The grass is soaked although it hasn't rained that much and some puddles have formed. Pitches on tarmac are only available for motorhomes. Electricity is available, water is only available at the wash house. Wifi is very weak and hardly available at the campsite. Although... the site is only half full, you have to wait for a free shower in the evening. The combination of shower / toilet / washbasin may have advantages, but unfortunately also many disadvantages (longer occupied, possibly toilet smell of the predecessor ...) Paved pitches are reserved for motorhome drivers. The sanitary facilities are very good, each bathroom is equipped with a toilet, washbasin and shower. In the morning you sometimes had to... queue for a moment. There is also a lovingly furnished children's bathroom. The kitchen with cooking and washing-up facilities looks very inviting and offers a great view of the fjord. We visited the Nigardsbreen glacier from here.Automatikusan lefordítva.

The cabin was the most basic of all (bunk bed, table, 2 chairs, fridge) but had charm with a view of the fjord. Sanitary facilities and kitchen approx. 30 m away from our cabin. The location directly on the Sognefjord is great. Sanitary very clean, however: either combined rooms: toilet/shower/washbasin or toilet/washbasin. Therefore some waiting time in the morning. Paved pitches only permitted for motorhomes, slightly terraced, so great views of the fjord from everywhere.... After consultation with the campsite warden, we booked a helicopter flight from the adjacent meadow, highly recommended! The town of Sogndal is 5 minutes away by car, excursions: oldest stave church in Ulmen approx. 45 min. by car. (with a very small ferry), approx. 1 hour's drive away glacier hike on the Nigardsbreen with guided tour and different durations = great thing!Automatikusan lefordítva.

After initial problems with the parking space - we weren't allowed to stand anywhere because of the trailer ?!. We found a great spot right by the water. The sanitary building is absolutely great and the best we had in four weeks in... Norway. You can hear the road above the pitch but it is quiet at night. Price is great for the pitch. However, too few for the large number of guests. Free choice of pitches, reception open in the morning from 9-11 a.m. and in the evening from eight o'clock. Those... who arrive early have the best conditions for a good pitch. Very friendly site operator. Fresh bread rolls to order in the morning. W-Lan on the whole site. TV via dish no problem. If you are an ACSI member, you can breathe a sigh of relief in the low season and don't have to pay the often exorbitant fees.Automatikusan lefordítva.
