- Monika N.July 2020PozitívumokThe proximity to the town and the beachNegatívumokNo rest periods. The barrier opens and closes all night. An unbelievable number of vehicles driving too fast!Never again! We had a motorhome parking space on the road right next to the entrance barrier. The traffic was unbelievable. Even at night and from 5.30 in the morning, cars were constantly driving in and out. Our pitch with a hedge was very dirty with paper and other things and was not cleaned. There is no night's... sleep, so you were woken up again and again by vacationers coming back at night. Sometimes the showers weren't cleaned by half past seven in the morning. We paid €860 for two weeks. The place is not worth it. Children riding their bikes on the path were endangered by the speeding cars! The showers were not really clean even after cleaning. They were also connected, so you had the shower foam from next door in your shower cubicle.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Karsten L.December 2018PozitívumokLocation, clean sanitary facilities, no shower coins, electricity and wifi included.NegatívumokPrice performance, broken glass on the plotBetter than expectedWe visited friends here on New Year's Eve. We expected bad things from the reviews, but were pleasantly surprised. The sanitary facilities were cleaned twice a day and are appropriate for the ***. The wash house was always heated, shower coins are not necessary and water was available in sufficient quantity... and temperature. The washing-up area looks new, is now in the building (was probably different!?) and was always clean. There are stainless steel draining racks here for space reasons. A nice idea. Unfortunately, you pay for the location of this campsite (15 min walk to the sea, 5 min by bike). Unfortunately there was a lot of broken glass on our pitch.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Anke F.December 2018PozitívumokLocated on the outskirts and in the immediate vicinity of the dunesNegatívumokToo expensive!!!!Mediocre place, overpriced! We paid €41/night for a pitch over New Year's Eve (peak season??), a hefty price for a campsite that (at that time of year) offered nothing out of the ordinary apart from a pleasant location. Sanitary facilities average. Despite the recommendation not to set off fireworks on New Year's Eve, there was... a lot of banging (!!) throughout the evening/night without this being observed!!!! Fortunately, nothing happened, although the fireworks could have quickly caused major damage (gas systems in the vehicles). For us, there are more atmospherically appealing places in the vicinity that are worth the price!Automatikusan lefordítva.
- E. V.September 2017PozitívumokThe supermarkets are very easy to reach. Egmond is a very pleasant town and you can walk and cycle very wellNegatívumokthe overall maintenance of the campsite. So price/quality ratiocampingwe had a great time, but the campground is too expensive. Especially the maintenance of the sites. When it rains a pond, there is no pruning and no mowing. Very messy, everything is a bit mixed up. We got the impression that the campsite is a bit of an underrated part of the Roompot. The focus is mainly on the rental accommodations. Then I find € 25, - (incl tourist tax) still on the expensive side. The staff is very friendly and very helpfulAutomatikusan lefordítva.
- Monia S.July 2017PozitívumokChildren's entertainment, distance to the beach, well-kept pitches and site, good sanitary facilitiesNegatívumokno charm and no heartBeautiful for childrenCompared to the Landal parks, it is cheaper, but also a little less professional. The site, the sanitary facilities and the entertainment were nevertheless well done. The playground was in a shady location, right next to the swimming pool and the snack bar/restaurant. The entertainment was good and took... place daily during the vacations. The swimming pool was heated and staffed with lifeguards. The site was well maintained and the distance to the beach and the town center was good. However, you can tell that it is a chain because nobody is really in charge. For example, there was no proper changing room and toilet at the swimming pool, the girls from the entertainment team were sometimes lackluster, the range in the supermarket was boring standard... Everything was fine so far, but nothing really knocks your socks off. If you could find an owner-managed campsite nearby with a bit of entertainment, I certainly wouldn't go there again. But let's see...Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Frank B.July 2017PozitívumokLocationNegatívumokPrice-performance ratioIncredible price-performance ratioThe site is well located. Apart from the airplanes that wake you up in the morning, it's a quiet place. The swimming pool - or rather the only outdoor pool - is OK but nothing special. There is no shower where you can take a proper shower or a changing room. Sanitary facilities are OK but overloaded... at peak times - in particular the cleaning cycles do not seem to match the usage habits of the guests. None of this would really be so dramatic if it weren't for the immensely high price. I have never experienced such a bad relationship in 25 years of camping experience. Well - we probably won't be coming back...Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Tom K.July 2017PozitívumokProximity to the villageNegatívumokOutdated sanitary facilities Too expensive for the service offered Small pitches "Unorganized"Too expensive for what is offeredWe stayed at this campsite for the third time, also because we wanted to go to beautiful Egmond aan Zee and this is the only campsite. Unfortunately the prices have gone up and the service has gone down... the sanitary facilities have not been renovated since 2012, although it would be necessary. The... pitches at the beginning of the campsite are relatively narrow. The reception is located 300m after the entrance, very suboptimal. Like the other years we wanted to rent bicycles. Despite the fact that there were at least 20 left, we were told that unfortunately there were none available and that the ones that were there were all broken? Who can believe it... and if it's true: why aren't they repairing them? At our pitch, the board was mowed days before. The grass and the mown thorn bushes were scattered everywhere. Without shoes, there was a risk of "thorn infestation". All in all, a mixed experience. Everything was topped when we arrived back home today and found the barrier card and reservation confirmation in the post. We had made a reservation by phone the day before we arrived...Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Christian S.October 2016PozitívumokAnimation for childrenNegatívumokThe sanitary building is not what you would expect from a campsite like this. The pictures must be 10 years old.Campsite on the outskirts of the city with leisure activities for childrenOnly used the site for a short stopover. The campsite itself is part of the leisure complex with various mobile homes for rent. The site was still busy in October. The sanitary building had also seen better times. But older and the cleaning was there early in the morning, bar with round corners. The... food in the cafeteria was ok. The entrance was difficult to find and the way from the barrier to the registration is probably already 100m to walk. By bike it is about 10 minutes to the center of Egmond aan Zee.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Helmut A.December 2014PozitívumokQuiet pitches, mostly sheltered from the wind. If you like strolling around with lots of people, Egmond is the place for you.NegatívumokWashing up outside the building even in winter. You constantly have to look where you're stepping.City of dogsSanitary facilities are cleaned twice a day, but only superficially. The side walls of the toilets and showers, for example, have not been cleaned for a long time. But we have seen worse. Soap and toilet paper always available. With temperatures around 0°C and strong gusts of wind, it's not really fun... to do the washing up outside the building with lukewarm water. The pitches are mostly sheltered from the wind, the ground is fine and water drains away quickly. We had booked the almost free Roompot arrangement, otherwise the fun would cost over 40 euros/night. It's not worth it in winter because there's absolutely nothing on offer apart from some children's entertainment and a small store with a chip shop. I can't say what it's like in summer. Now a little more about Egmond aan Zee. This little town is open 365 days a year and is always a hive of activity. The beach is packed even in winter. The worst are the numerous mountain bikers who ride like mad across the beach as if they were alone. If Paris is the city of love, Egmond can claim to be the city of dogs. You can see piles of four-legged friends everywhere, in the middle of the sidewalk, in the middle of the pedestrian zone and unfortunately also on the campsite. If you want to get from the pitch to the beach, we recommend taking a detour through the adjacent dunes. There you can walk through a huge, I'll call it an "allotment garden". If you open the gates, you will meet Highland Cattles and can enjoy the absolute peace and quiet. Of course, you can also walk along the road to the beach, but that's the opposite of relaxing. We probably won't go there again because Egmond is just totally overcrowded. You can see how crowded the beach is on this webcam which shows the beach access. http://217.123.10.77/axis-cgi/mjpg/video.cgi?resolution=640x480&dummy=1420218806520Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Olaf V.October 2013The campsite is located on the edge of the village of Egmond. Once you have found the access road to the campsite (poorly signposted or not clearly visible), the road ends in front of an automatic barrier. It is not possible to park here with WW caravans or motorhomes without obstructing others. Anyone... who thinks that the reception is located directly in the house at the entrance area is mistaken. A small sign, which is also easy to overlook, points the way to reception across the site. (A good 5 minute walk). The site is divided into several fields and a mobile area. All in all quite neat and clean. The sanitary building is just as clean, although it is getting on in years but has all the facilities you need. The central building, on the other hand, which houses the registration desk, a mini-market, snack bar and restaurant, takes some getting used to. And all in one. You pay for your morning rolls at the same counter where you register or buy a snack. The restaurant area is not really cozy and the prices are completely exorbitant. The staff, on the other hand, are very friendly and helpful. It should be mentioned in any case that depending on the weather and wind conditions there is considerable aircraft noise from landing large aircraft. 20 minutes walk to the center of Egmond. A lively little town with many stores and boutiques and small restaurants. We also recommend the wide sandy beach with its lovely beach bars. The high prices and charges of the campsite are not justified, so I would only recommend it for a short stay.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Eva S.May 2013We were on this site for the second time since 2007 over one of the long weekends in early summer. We liked it both times. This year we were not at the front of the large meadow, but at the very back, where the rental tents are and where we were almost among ourselves. There is a small pool, various... play equipment and a (unfortunately asphalted) ball game field. My husband badly scraped his knee here when he fell while playing soccer, but you can avoid this field. In any case, the children had fun and enough space to let off steam, as the Dutch were not free that weekend. The sanitary blocks were not great, but ok. I can't say anything about the other facilities; we didn't make use of the fast food service, which seemed very overpriced to us, and had no reason to contact the staff other than to register and pay. You can walk from this site to the town and the sea, but it is quite a way. Very nice places such as Bergen, Schoorl, Hoorn and Alkmaar are not far away, so you have something to see even if the weather doesn't recommend the beach. In Schoorl, parents can sit and relax in the café by the large dune while the children run up, roll down and get a good workout afterwards. For a long weekend or a week (possibly better outside the main season), it's certainly a nice, if not cheap, place.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Stefanie S.July 2012Value for money: The prices are absolutely exaggerated! We paid just as much for the pitch for a 2-person tent as a camper van, which can also use the power connection at the pitch. We could have pitched three other tents on our site and when we extended our stay for one night, the same pitch no longer... cost "only 42" but a whopping 6 € more, justification for the start of the Dutch vacations? 48 € for a 2-man tent? We had no other choice, because the rain wouldn't let us get any further! Why is no distinction made between caravans and tents? Reception: inflexible, slow and only sometimes friendly! Reception and kiosk cash desk are next to each other, but are served by different staff. When I wanted to buy a token for the dryer when buying bread rolls, I was referred to reception! What's the problem? When the receptionist was finally able to part with her coffee from the back office, there were no more dryer tokens, and again one of the five employees in the back office had to part with the breakfast rolls! This at 9.00 in the morning on a campsite! While I was waiting for the token, I watched as the receptionist also cashed in for the kiosk...Suddenly it works! Thank you. Service is a matter of interpretation!Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Ulrike G.August 2011...The best thing was the "chewing gum shower" - there was pressure on the shower head... Of course, the young cleaning lady doesn't clean the walls of the shower (which is probably why she never finds the chewing gum), as she only wrings out the cloth once, starts with the floor of the toilets and then... ends up in the washroom via the shower cubicles. If the weather is bad, you freeze to death when washing the dishes and the plastic cups fly away - so guests shouldn't have rheumatism. Although money is charged for the dogs, there is neither a dog play area, dog poop areas nor dog waste bags on the site. If you ask in a friendly manner at reception, you will be brushed off in an unfriendly manner - which seems to be the method behind the many complaints. Roompott seems to have its best days behind it. The mini-market's treadmill is broken, there is a lack of lighting and it is apparently deliberately unclear in the presentation whether there is a "tropical bathing paradise" or just an outdoor pool (there is only the pool outside). This is probably one of the reasons why only 2 children run after the nice bunny even in high season. However, the young cheap employees are also in a hurry - they don't wait for the children and so they have to be quick, provided the car for the bunny isn't broken again. The worst but most expensive campsite in Noord-Holland that we've been to so far. A "rip-off".Automatikusan lefordítva.
