Very friendly staff who are always on hand with help and advice. Be it excursion tips or restaurant suggestions.
The sanitary facilities are modern and very clean.
Dogs are welcome on the campsite.
There are numerous hiking and mountain... bike tours around the campsite. There is also plenty to discover with children in and around Albstadt.
In bad weather, you can visit the large family leisure pool opposite the campsite.

Our bread rolls were missing one morning - they were replaced the next day - but it was only possible to complain after 9 a.m. when reception was occupied and we drove to the bakery ourselves that day.Stay August 2022Very inflexible with early departure: We had to leave early for family reasons. We were offered a voucher for the nights we had already paid for, which we would have to redeem this year. Unfortunately, after the season and an arrival time of around 6 hours, you don't always have the opportunity to hand... in the voucher. This was the case for us. We informed them of this immediately.
I can also understand that we did not receive a refund of the pitch fees because we had blocked the pitch with our booking.

According to Camping.info there is a swimming pool, restaurant, indoor playground, sauna, volleyball on site. Unfortunately, none of this is true. The campsite could offer so much more because of the space. The playground is only for children... up to the age of 6. The sanitary building is quite new, but it is rarely cleaned. The showers are mixed gender, the open showers are either the drains clogged or the shower fittings defective. There is waste water from the showers in the washing cubicles, which is not very tasty.

Then you should definitely spend the night in an XXL barrel!Hard night in the XXL barrelWe decided to spend the night in the XXL barrel, but this was only a good idea to a limited extent. The mattresses at the back of the barrel were quite hard, and the seat cushions as mattresses at the front were more of a joke. Those with a masochistic streak will probably enjoy spending the night on... a "bed" with the comfort of a medieval torture instrument, but everyone else should refrain from doing so. As we had been looking forward to spending the night in an unusual location, we were all the more disappointed when it came to sleeping comfort. The fact that our neighbors from diagonally across the street were still having a proper party until at least 2:30 a.m. with the corresponding background noise was really only a minor matter. Our personal conclusion is therefore: anyone thinking about spending the night in an XXL barrel should really think it through very carefully. On the other hand, any overnight stay at a Bundeswehr drill is real 5-star comfort.Automatikusan lefordítva.

Arrival in the afternoon, there are enough free places. Friendly welcome at reception and small store to buy the essentials. No shade as the trees are small, but large pitches with enough space to pull out the awning. Electricity is available with a coin-operated... machine at the eco pitches. This is preferable if there are no "power guzzlers" on board. Small playground and trampoline available. Pitch more suitable for "older children". Quiet campsite without entertainment etc. Buying WLAN minutes/hours takes some getting used to these days. We decided against it and enjoyed a "non-digital stay" - it's good for a change. Swimming pool nearby, restaurant is currently being rebuilt (July 2019), therefore only catering in the bathroom. 148 meters higher (2Km, 40min. walk) is the restaurant Ochsenberg, which offers itself as a replacement for eating. Plenty of space at the V+E station. Everything looks new. Our stay was pleasant.Automatikusan lefordítva.- Bodo N.December 2018Beware of this placeOur experience was really not the best. It can happen here that you want to rent a pitch and are then told by the management in writing and in person that the pitch will not be rented to you because "they have played the employees off against the management"? Very strange business practices here. The... error in the system could not be clarified in person either. So if you want to make sure that you actually get the pitch you want, then it would be safer to visit another pitch - we also found one in the area with our 10 meter length to our complete satisfaction and with great service.Automatikusan lefordítva.

The site is beautifully situated, directly opposite a large swimming pool, but we didn't use it. The eaves paths in the immediate vicinity are very nice walks and also... good for biking. We spent one night in a sleeping barrel in January at -16 degrees. The infrared heating installed in the barrels reached its limits. The portable additional heating could not be used at night as its bright... light would not have allowed us to sleep. The door was slightly warped at the bottom so that the cold could also penetrate here. Despite everything, the night was not too unpleasant, even though the temperatures were extreme. Unfortunately, apart from a small playground, there are hardly any leisure facilities on the site itself. There is definitely room for improvement! The adventure pool is about 5 minutes away from the campsite, but we didn't visit it. Gravelled pitches.NegatívumokLack of activities for older children (apart from the "Badkap") Lack of spatial separation in the shower and wash cubicles.Beautiful, newly created squareThe site is new, so there is no shade yet (planting is still too small). The pitches are terraced on the slope, mostly completely gravelled. The playground is quite small (1 swing, 1 balance machine, 2 fixed wooden horses) and is intended more for toddlers/children up to around 6 years old. The sanitary... block is of course also new and was cleaned regularly during our stay, but the toilet rolls were forgotten to be refilled. And the washbasins/shower cubicles are not separated by gender, only the toilets. On arrival you are given a chip on a collar. This can be used to open all doors (sanitary facilities, washing up, chemical toilet emptying etc.) and the barrier at the entrance. Baked goods must be pre-ordered the day before and can then be collected the next day from half past seven in the washing machine room or from nine at reception. The staff were all very friendly. There is no restaurant at the campsite, but there is one below in the "Badkap". The "Badkap" swimming pool is within easy walking distance.Automatikusan lefordítva.
