On arrival I was immediately overwhelmed by the color of the lake! I was there for three days and managed to get a pitch without booking in advance, even though it was full. They try very hard and make everything possible! Everything was clean and beautifully designed. There was also a wide range of leisure activities on offer. Erfurt is easily accessible by bike on relatively flat roads (approx. 12 km). Any time again.Nice little "pop-up" campsite. Reception and sanitary facilities are containers but nicely clad in wood or painted. It's simple but everything you need is there. One or two hooks or shelves in the showers wouldn't be bad. Beautiful pitches, small beach for swimming in the wonderful lake. Beach bar with... bockwurst, fish sandwiches and tarte flambée to eat. Otherwise two restaurants 5 to 8 minutes on foot, one with a terrace on the shore next to it. Netto market less than 5 minutes away by car. Everything is simple but really nice, lots of campers from the surrounding area, also with tents. Very friendly. No permanent campers. Cycle paths all around and only a few kilometers from Erfurt. Lively during the day, especially at weekends, as many day visitors also come to swim, but in the evening it is comfortably quiet.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Steph W.July 2022Pozitívumok- small, quiet, uncomplicated - free showersNegatívumok- Tiny, dilapidated playground - only partially or not at all suitable for children under 6 years of ageCute, small campsite with limited facilitiesWe spent several days here because we didn't want to go too far from home, the husband wanted to go fishing and the kids (3,6) wanted to swim at the lake. A good to very good rating of the sanitary facilities was important to me.
So we ended up at ThürKies Camping. It's a tiny campsite with a tent... meadow and caravan pitches. The tent meadow is surrounded by a gravel road, which can be quite noisy if you are sleeping but someone drives past in a car. Otherwise it was very quiet, even a group of teenagers who were placed next to us were pleasant neighbors.
The beach area is very manageable in size and the swan poop is removed if you let the campsite management know.
Overall a cute little campsite, but only suitable to a limited extent for longer stays and small children. Our children lacked variety, opportunities for activity and other children - the campsite could not provide this due to its location and size. Otherwise no disadvantagesGreat and special placeWe stayed here for three nights in the first few days of October. It was not very busy at that time. We felt very comfortable on the pitch despite the bad weather. With the very nice operator, everything could be organized easily by mobile phone if necessary.
The sanitary facilities were super clean... at all times. The site has its charm due to its location on the lake and the deliberately simple design.

- Klaus B.August 2021PozitívumokVery friendly operators Great location on the lake Everything very relaxed & uncomplicated always cultural events, e.g. concertsNegatívumokOn Saturday evening it gets quite loud from a festival site on the other side of the lakeBeautiful brand new Pop Up CP at Alperstedter See, 10 km to ErfurtThe campsite, which only opened in July about 10 km from Erfurt city center, sees itself as a "pop-up campsite": it deliberately aims to be simple, to be a deliberate temporary solution.
Reception, toilets and showers are in containers - but they are brand new and spotlessly clean, and the showers in... particular are easily up to the standard of any campsite.
The highlight is the private sandy beach at Alperstädter See, a former quarry pond that has already been renaturalized in the lower part near the campsite, but at the other end (which you can't see from the campsite) you can still see the excavators. The water is wonderfully clear and justifies the name of the campsite.
We found the crowd to be very pleasant: lots of young people and young families, many older vans, small and lovingly converted caravans, some genuine vintage cars. It was the first time that we were surrounded by even smaller caravans with our small caravan!
There are extra areas for young people where a little music doesn't disturb.
The site is particularly suitable for dog owners, as there is a good walking route right at the entrance; at the other end of the lake, even in August, there were so few visitors that no-one was bothered if you went swimming with your dog.
The beach bar, which is open from around 5 p.m., serves the usual drinks as well as tarte flambée and sausages, and just a few minutes' walk away there is a great burger restaurant (Strandgut 33) and a traditional restaurant (Treff Am See) (also with a view of the lake).
Bread rolls can be ordered in advance from reception.
Shopping facilities (bakery, butcher's shop, Netto) are available in Erfurt-Stotternheim, approx. 1.5 km away.
There is a large water sports center in the immediate vicinity: surfing, kiting, kayaking, etc.
On the night from Saturday to Sunday it was very loud from a festival/event location further away - that was the only drawback.
We paid just over 30 euros with two adults, a 12-year-old child and a dog in a camper van including electricity - we thought that was good value for what the site offers.Automatikusan lefordítva. - Christian B.July 2021PozitívumokRight in the countryside just outside Erfurt.
