- Pierrot D.June 2024PozitívumokQuiet CP with everything you need. Nice staff. No pitch reservation. Dog friendly.NegatívumokNo separation of waste. No sweepings with Robidog bags.pleasant beautiful camping by the lakeLarge trees for shade.
Restaurant by the lake.
Fishing possibility.
Very nice for swimming in the lake. Sandy bottom up to about 50m.
Very clean site, waste of any kind can be disposed of in the nearest bin. Unfortunately the garbage is not separated. Toilets and showers are kept very clean. Women's showers could be left cleaner by the users. Hair left behind is disgusting!Automatikusan lefordítva. - Gernot W.July 2021PozitívumokThe right size - not too big, but not too small either. Direct water access Boat hire Good snack bar directly on site Parcelled out with short distances to the streamNegatívumokSometimes a bit loudAlways greatThis is our third year here. Every year there has been something new. Next year there will be a sandy beach for the children....
Everything is very well maintained and clean. The operators are friendly.
The place is great for families with children. There are also pedal boats for hire.
By the way, anglers... are no longer allowed on the beach!
If you want, you can also rent a bungalow.
The sanitary facilities are clean and there is a great washing-up area.
There are parceled-out areas with plenty of shade. The snack bar serves breakfast and typical Hungarian dishes. There is a small Coop, a bakery, greengrocer, butcher...
We would love to come backAutomatikusan lefordítva. - Katrin E.August 2019Too loud and unsuitable for dogsWe chose this campsite because of the described dog meadow and the dog beach. There was none of that. The official dog beach in Fonjöd is about 70 km away. In addition, the railroad line was adjacent to the site and you could hear the trains shunting all the time. Sanitary facilities are far away and not comfortable. All in all, not worth a visit.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Volker G.September 2018PozitívumokNoneNegatívumokAccording to the local anglers, no remedyToo noisy, unfriendly, anglers who besiege the whole beach, drinking and loudActually a nice little campsite. If it weren't for the anglers. They besiege the whole beach with their fishing rods. You hardly get a chance to swim, they are all over you. Large loudspeakers are set up, bottles of Palinka go round, people drink and you can't find any peace and quiet as a vacationer.... We left again because we wanted to go on vacation and didn't want to be bombarded with loud music. Several guests complained at reception and were told that the beach was not part of the campsite and that nothing could be done. Never again here.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Frank G.September 2018PozitívumokYou can save yourself the radioNegatívumokVery loud and mosquitoes without endtoo loud and lots of mosquitoesAll hell breaks loose here. The anglers besiege the whole beach, setting up loudspeakers and shouting at you if you say anything. You can hardly get to the water. In the evenings and afternoons mosquitoes without end. Several people complained to reception about the noise of the anglers, who also drink... senselessly. A vacation was out of the question. We left because we could no longer stand the noise, we will never come here again because we wanted to go on vacation and not have to put up with the noise of drunks. Very weakAutomatikusan lefordítva.
- Günther M.June 2018PozitívumokLocation, tranquillity, leisure facilities, friendliness, cleanlinessNegatívumokMosquitoes in the eveningBeautiful place at Lake BalatonWe were here in June 2018. The place is quiet and is a bit off the road, which is good. From Badasonictomaj you drive about 500m further until a small side road appears on the right. Turn right, cross the railroad tracks and follow the road until you arrive. The entrance is guarded by a barrier. Continue... onto the campsite grounds and you will find the small reception desk on the left. The staff are very friendly. The pitches are numbered and we were able to choose where we could stand (low season!!). The site is right on the lake and has a nice little shore area with swimming and fishing areas. There are several Hollywood swings right by the lake. As everywhere on the lake, mosquitoes are to be expected, so you should pack mosquito repellent. There is a small snack bar at the campsite, but it can prepare very tasty, simple meals. You have to go into town to do your shopping; it's about 3 minutes by bike; you can walk over the railroad tracks behind the campsite (which is forbidden and not without danger because of the rail traffic) and be in town in 5 minutes. The village has everything, bakery, butcher, COOP, etc. Badasonictomaj train station is right behind the campsite. There is a train once an hour. We took the train to Balatonfüröd. Nice train ride of 54 minutes (for 36km), but worth it, as the train runs comfortably along the lake. Cost: €9 return for 2 people. You can get the train tickets from the conductor on the train. There is a cycle path on the road that leads around the lake, mostly off the road (only here next to the road on its own path). The sanitary facilities are clean, as is the whole site. The operator is very helpful. There are regular gardening teams out and about. WLAN on site and also quite fast. The site has quiet periods, which are adhered to. Costs with ACSI card 14€ incl. visitor's tax. It's worth it, especially as we saw the other pitches in the village. These are very close to the main road and the railroad.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Peter H.July 2017PozitívumokFriendly staff, you feel welcome. Good campsite. Quiet and right on the lake.NegatívumokN/ASuper place by the lakeCP with buvette directly on the lake. Sunbathing lawn with/without shade. Pitches with/without shade. Free choice of pitches. Child-friendly. Clean sanitary and washing-up area. No "mass processing". Communication in German and English without problems. We will definitely be back when we are at Lake Balaton.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Ernst B.May 2017PozitívumokLarge pitches for motorhomes, quiet despite the nearby railroad line. Ideal for swimming and fishing.NegatívumokNo store where you can buy the essentials.A recommendable place in the off-season (as it is in the main season). We were looking for a campsite on Lake Balaton on the Internet and discovered this campsite and booked it straight away. We were there with two camper vans and had two dogs each. It was wonderful in May. We were more than satisfied. The pitches were very large, so there was plenty of space and we felt comfortable. Everything was just right for us and we will be back.Automatikusan lefordítva.

- Britta R.June 2016PozitívumokFriendly staff, clean sanitary facilities, quiet, good priceNegatívumokNo shopping facilities on the squareSuper!Highly recommended in the low season! Without much hustle and bustle, located directly on the lake. The reception is manned 24 hours a day and operates the entrance gate, very friendly staff, German and English are no problem. The site is close to the village, within walking distance. There is a pizzeria,... restaurant, wine cellar with grill restaurant, bank, post office, bakery, pharmacy, shopping facilities. Small snack bar on site, but no store, no bread rolls. WLAN free of charge. The site looks very well maintained, the sanitary facilities have always been very clean. Very good value for money, payment by card possible. Train station and bus stop in the village, theoretically you can travel to Budapest by train or bus.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Georg T.July 2015Here for the 2nd time - and convinced againVery nice, quiet campsite located directly on Lake Balaton, with its own beach access and snack bar (from pizza and schnitzel to langos and scrambled eggs in the morning) on the campsite. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and speak very good German. Direct access to the train station (there... is only one train per hour, so it's still quiet) means good connections to the other Balaton strongholds. Nice, small village with shops and restaurants only 10 minutes walk away.Automatikusan lefordítva.Tomaj Camping Riviera válaszolt October 24, 2013Thank you for the nice comments!

- Elke C.June 2015NegatívumokRailroad line that runs around Lake Balaton.Summer vacationWe spent our vacation at the campsite in June this year. It's a small and quiet site and the sanitary facilities are clean. The staff are friendly and can also give you lots of tips in German. Anyone looking for peace and quiet will find it here.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Ariane B.May 2013Nice location, friendly welcome, quiet despite proximity to the train station, everything very tidy, left a solid impression. No permanent campers, quite tranquil compared to many places on Lake Balaton.Automatikusan lefordítva.Tomaj Camping Riviera válaszolt October 24, 2013Thank you very much !
Tomaj Camping TeamAutomatikusan lefordítva. - J.June 2010Nice small camping away from the hustle and bustle of the town. The bungalows are either new or renovated. Restaurants and wine cellars 10 - 20 minutes walk away. Don't expect any amusement park attractions, but for a family with young children the price/relative safety/cleanliness/cooking/cheap restaurants within easy reach ratio is ideal.Automatikusan lefordítva.
