The location is fantastic and the facilities (showers, etc.) are functional. Unfortunately this time we had a surprise with the bill. We were on the pitch from Sunday evening (9pm) until the following Friday (10am). According to the meter reading, we used... 113 kWh during this time (heating and fridge in gas mode). We have never consumed so much. Our consumption has been around 1.5 - 2 kWh per day for years. Unfortunately, there is no concession from the campsite and they insist on the accuracy of the data. Unfortunately, the meter reading is not transparent. Only the reception can see the initial and final readings, so unfortunately we cannot judge this. The seats were very small and completely overcrowded.We were disappointedWe 2 adults, 2 children, 1 dog arrived at the site in the evening, we received a friendly welcome at reception and were allocated a pitch.
The pazelle was on a small terrace with 4 other pitches, all very small.
After setting up, we wanted to eat something in the restaurant, but unfortunately it was... closed.
Instead, we ate an expensive frozen pizza from the pizza van on the campsite and a beer bought in the store. Unfortunately, no Bavarian coziness. Swimming in the Tennsee was not possible as it is completely overgrown, Tennsumpf would be more correct.
The sanitary facilities were great, clean and quite new.
When we checked out we were charged 1.9 kw electricity even though we didn't use anything, which was only 1.54€ but still not right.

On the first visit we were surprised that the waiters in the restaurant were unfriendly and the dog was not allowed. Unfortunately, this impression was repeated on our second visit.
Now we were there for the third time... because we have a relative nearby who we wanted to visit. The telephone inquiry only worked when we asked. We then decided on a space in the parking lot in front of the barrier. We paid an overpriced price for this and for the dog and unfortunately the manager was extremely unfriendly.
As the site was overcrowded, the sanitary facilities were clearly at the limit despite daily basic cleaning.

The pitches are large enough and there is also a water tap on site.
The wash house is a real hit: it is laid out like a small labyrinth and is always spotlessly clean. There is a restaurant and a chicken and knuckle roasting joint on... site. However, both are closed on Tuesdays and a pizza van comes instead...but the queue here is very long.
There are several bus stops within a short walking distance. With the guest card you can travel free of charge to Garmisch, Mittenwald or an alpine pasture, for example.

However, we initially had a pitch with our camper van that was close to the main road. The traffic noise initially dampened our vacation mood somewhat. Fortunately, it wasn't a problem to find another quieter pitch
The very bright lighting in some places on the pitch... was also a bit annoying. This meant that the camper van was also well lit at night 😬
We would still like to come back, because the great view of the mountains and the beautiful nature overshadowed these little problems

We have a dog who also feels at home here, we like to go hiking and can walk to many places directly from the campsite. The sanitary building is very well equipped, even if the details are a little cramped and convoluted. Good starting point for hiking and cycling tours. The Alpenweltcard as a benefit enhances the offer. Very good WLAN.NeigiamiThe design of the pitches is unfortunately loveless, no landscaping, few trees to guarantee hot summers. The infrastructure of the pitch is completely outdated, fresh water, waste water only on pitch section A, otherwise long distances as not available. Power distribution outdated, cable drum as a makeshift. Cable duct in the steps, a tripping hazard from shoe size 43. The disposal of residual waste is conceptless and seems absolutely improvised, many small bins without clear allocation, next door within smelling distance the barbecue station, good combination. The proximity to the main road is omnipresent and very disturbing, especially at night.Alpine panorama for free?The discrepancy between claim and reality is obvious. The price level is far ahead of what is on offer and continues unreservedly in the restaurant. The place lives through its location, otherwise rather modest.Automatiškai išversta.

The site looked well-kept BUT ....
For our taste, the campsite was completely overcrowded and we had the impression of being in the middle of Munich's Oktoberfest. We are dog owners ourselves, but there were far too many... dogs around.
The campsite was just too nervous and crowded for us and we didn't feel like we were in good hands when we visited it. The site is owner-managed, well organized and clean. The staff were always friendly and helpful. Even when our starter battery failed on the day of departure, the owner gave us a quick and uncomplicated jump start (a... big thank you to you again, Mr. Zick!). There is a restaurant/coffee shop with good food and cakes, and there is also a very well-stocked small store, which is also well equipped for camper needs. You can start hiking or cycling straight away from the site. The location and landscape are beautiful. Yes, there are many guests with dogs, but as we have one ourselves, we don't mind. There are dog parks and lovely walks right next to the campsite. If you want to stay there safely, you should make a reservation. We would like to thank the Zick family and the staff for their tireless efforts and will certainly be back.Automatiškai išversta.

There are plenty of parking spaces, even in front of the barrier if you arrive late.
There is a proper restaurant on the site, with regular pork knuckle meals etc.
You can even order breakfast there.
The site offers a bus transfer... service for day trips in the surrounding area.
Unfortunately, the lake is no longer there.
The site is dog friendly and the people who have their dogs with them have always been responsible, which I think is really worth mentioning - haven't seen a single "pedal mule"!
