Since 2024 you no longer get shore power if you have a 100W solar panel on the caravan, according to the mayor of Sander. There is also no legal basis for this. Simple place, but okay. Reasonable price. Located exactly between Bamberg and Schweinfurt, both can be reached by bike from the site. A few nice hikes are possible from the place. Beer garden and bakeries in the village, which is fun.

unfortunately I don't think the bathing area on site is very nice. there is dog excrement everywhere on the meadow. It's a shame that

It is also a lovely meadow where you can spread out as you wish, as there are no fixed pitches. The cleanliness of the way itself is also nice. However, the operator and her colleague from the kiosk are always unfriendly and rude.... The sanitary facilities are also not overly clean, but the shower area is. 50ct for a 4 minute hot shower (cold always works) is also okay. Unfortunately, the kiosk doesn't have any snacks such as sausage rolls or similar. The night's rest is predetermined, but it is also OK if this is not completely adhered to, as long as you don't overdo it. The distance to the lake is OK, but the lake itself is not that great...but of course the campsite can't help that. ImpossibleAlso good for overnight staysWe were here for the second time at the beginning of April. The overall impression from summer 2013 was again positively confirmed. Friendly reception and service. Very nice and spacious pitches with good sanitary facilities. Separated into tourist and permanent camper pitches. Lake for swimming and... fishing available. Shopping facilities approx. 600 m away. Very good excursion destinations nearby, all of which can be explored by bike. If you are fit you can cycle to Bamberg. Unfortunately there was no bread service on site. But should be possible in summer. Ideal for campers who are looking for peace and quiet and want to be active by bike. 2018: Unfortunately, this year we had to realize that the sanitary facilities were closed during the "main usage time" of all times. from 08.00 a.m. to 10.00 a.m. !!!! From my point of view and that of other camping guests, this is incomprehensible. When asked, we were told that this was an order from the municipality of Sand. The site is divided into 2 parts: directly on the lake for permanent campers (very well maintained) and above the small path for other campers. Large, unparceled meadow with trees, almost flat, very comfortable. Clean sanitary facilities (although showers are no longer possible after 10 pm), small pub on site, but only open during the day. Due to a construction site in Sand, getting there was a bit problematic. We called them and were patiently navigated by phone. Although it was already evening and shortly before closing time. We were allocated a nice big pitch and a friendly neighbor was immediately... on hand to help. The sanitary facilities are in very good and well-kept condition. Everything was clean. The good condition of the entire site indicates that the staff are constantly looking after it. The beautiful town of Sand a. Main is only a short bike ride away. There are plenty of shopping opportunities. Fresh bread rolls are available daily (on order). We will certainly and gladly come back.Automatiškai išversta.

- Bernhard G.August 2017Great location, but not for water hikersThe location of the campsite is very scenic. The sand/gravel works on the opposite side of the lake is hardly a nuisance. The campsite itself is also very large, but really tidy, clean and nicely laid out. Of course, as is so often the case, the focus is on permanent camping and motorhome/caravan camping.... Nature-loving vacationers with tents will find less accommodation. I found the staff to be very unfriendly and the opposite of helpful. Water hikers like us are not allowed to spend the night on one of the spacious meadows by the lake, but have to camp on the side of the campsite facing away from the lake, a good 320-350m from the water. If you want to have your boat at your tent, you have to drag it almost half a kilometer. The Franconian Tourist Association advertises water hiking on the Main, and this campsite also has a "Yellow Wave" sign. However, the campsite operators do not support this aspect of tourism. It's a pity, because canoeing on the Main is a great way to get to know the region. It's even more of a shame because I have the impression that it would be very easy to find water hiking-friendly camping facilities.Automatiškai išversta.
- Claudia K.June 2017TeigiamiThe affordable price, the neighboring lake, the adjacent nature reserve, the proximity to Bamberg and the really large plots of landNeigiamiNo real disadvantages, unfortunately no mobile homes available to rentLarge plots close to a beautiful lakeMy husband and I have been (permanently) camping with our caravan on this campsite for 5 years. From our point of view, it is a very nice community-owned site with large pitches both in the tourist area and in the permanent camping area (our double pitch, for example, is 320 square meters in size). The... two large sanitary buildings for tourists and permanent campers are in very good condition and are always kept very clean - in the permanent camping area there is also a smaller toilet facility, which unfortunately looks less well maintained. A refurbishment would not go amiss. In our opinion, it would be ideal to be able to rent mobile homes, as we would then have the opportunity to go there with the whole family. Perhaps a suggestion for improvement! In response to the other comments, some of which are very negative, I can only say that the tourist campsite serves as a winter site for permanent campers, who have to remove all their caravans from the flood-prone permanent camping area every year. That's why it's not possible to separate the pitches there, as they have to be much closer together in winter. If there were still hedges or similar, the principle would no longer work. In my experience, I cannot confirm the described experiences of unfriendly staff, but I have occasionally heard similar things from other campers. However, you should bear in mind that the groundsman is an employee of the municipality and not a tenant or owner for whom additional profit goes directly into his own pocket. It is probably a case of "As you call into the forest, ..." On the subject of noise: you can hear the spectators on the sports field as well as the gravel works and on some weekends also the music from a wine festival in the village and always the church bells ;-) - but the volume has always been within an acceptable range for us. Conclusion: The proximity to the lake, the direct access to the adjacent nature reserve and the really reasonable price - even for permanent camping - make the overall package very attractive, even if you live a little further away like us.Automatiškai išversta.

The disadvantage is that if you stand on the rear pitches you need long cables, but we were informed of this when we made the reservation. Sanitary facilities were very clean, even with the 50 cents for showering... you can live, the hot water was good enough for showering. The kiosk doesn't have much to offer, there are bread rolls and very good cakes in the morning. The price-performance ratio is right and we will come back to this campsite for a short vacationAutomatiškai išversta.

The site is separated by a road into a tourist section and a permanent camp site. The tourist part is subject to strict rules, e.g. no showering or washing after 10 p.m., from 12 - 2 p.m. there is a lunch break and access and... registration are closed. Interestingly, access and exit is possible for permanent campers. Pitches are level, clean and spacious. Actually a nice place but the staff ruins the good impression.
