Super pitch close to the Bödele ski area
First of all... We don't normally write reviews, but we simply had to make an exception here. Due to the, for us absolutely incomprehensible, rather bad rating, we almost didn't book... It would have been a shame though 🙂
We had reserved a caravan pitch at the Dornbirn campsite for a few days and were... skiing at Bödele with our family. The location of the campsite is ideal for this, as the ski area is only 15 minutes away.
Due to the vacation travel time, we unfortunately only arrived in Dornbirn after 5 pm. But that was no problem at all - they were very flexible and easy to accommodate us. The same applies to the day of departure. We met very nice operators / employees here.
The pitches are all completely flat, so there were no problems with alignment.
The sanitary facilities are probably the best we've seen on so many campsites. Everything is always spotless, clean and sparkling!
In the showers there are proper single-lever taps and no annoying "button-pushing", so that showering is really more pleasant, especially with children. The family bathroom is big enough so that we had plenty of space with three children.
There is also a small playground on the site itself, but we hardly used it as the children were already exhausted after a day of skiing 😄
We didn't visit the restaurant, so we can't comment on it.
Yes, the campsite is on a road - like most other campsites. But we didn't notice any noise pollution from road traffic here. It's just a side road leading out of Dornbirn. Absolutely nothing could be heard at night.
The price-performance ratio is right and it won't be our last stay here.

Hello dear family B K.! What a surprise - here at camping.info. We are really pleased that you found the time and left us such a great review. It will certainly be helpful for other campers who don't give our site a chance because of the unfortunately poor rating here on camping.info.

It's nice to read... that you had an all-round great stay with us. We do our best every day to provide our guests with a relaxing break. As you have already mentioned, our cleaning ladies make every effort to keep the sanitary facilities etc. in good condition. They will certainly be delighted with the praise!

The location is perfect for all kinds of excursions in the surrounding area. A great place for campers and vacationers in the apartment to meet and relax.

In bad weather there is unfortunately no covered shelter/communal room or a small kitchen. A kiosk for small purchases would be great.
Perfect place for a family reunion
I especially liked the very personal service of the staff with all our special requests.
We had to rearrange the apartments and pitches several times. They were always friendly and
helpful. There was always the opportunity to take into account the individual characteristics of each group member. The... oldest participant (87) had the highest praise for the great apartments. Falling asleep with the smell of fresh wood in his nose was the greatest thing for him.

Too bad the weather didn't cooperate. The brunch at Frischluft was a highlight for everyone.
All family members want to come back next year.

Directly on the street (noisy in the early morning hours), cuisine far below the offer described on the website, friendliness leaves a lot to be desired, too few men's toilets (queues in the morning) etc.
Does not meet expectations at all
We did not receive a very friendly welcome. Our request for a somewhat sunnier pitch was not granted - despite there being enough free pitches - and we had to make do with a dark, noisy (directly on the road) and muddy pitch.

Although we had paid a deposit of 1/3 of the price, we had to pay the balance... for all nights on arrival.

In the morning we waited 3/4 hours in the restaurant for a small breakfast (!!) with the explanation that it was just a small kitchen and you could only do one thing at a time....

The restaurant offered nothing at all - far below the culinary delights advertised on the website.

There was a queue in the morning for the only three men's toilets.

In short - once and never again!

Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback. We are very sorry that your stay with us did not meet your expectations.

We regret that you did not feel welcome at the reception. We always endeavor to welcome all guests in a friendly manner. We understand your wish for a sunnier... pitch. Unfortunately, during the high season it is often not possible to change pitches at short notice due to reservations and occupancy. We hope for your understanding.

As far as payment is concerned, it is customary for us to settle the balance on arrival in order to facilitate the process on departure and avoid misunderstandings.

We are also sorry that you had to wait in the restaurant. Due to the size of our kitchen, delays can unfortunately occur at peak times, but should not happen to this extent. We take your feedback on the cuisine very seriously and will review our offer.

We are aware that there may be waiting times at the sanitary facilities during peak times, but this is not usual. As a rule, the toilets are perfectly adequate. We are sorry that you had to wait.

Thank you again for your feedback. It is our goal to constantly improve and we regret that we were unable to meet your expectations this time.

Wlan on pitch 20m next to reception is zero, nothing for vacationers looking for peace and quiet, as there is a very busy restaurant in the middle of the campsite. Bread roll price 1Euro

Are here in June 2024 with dog and caravan.man can cycle a lot here,place is much too expensive because no wifi as offered,nothing for people looking for peace and quiet,cleanliness of the toilets leaves much to be desired,bread price 1 euro is probably greatly exaggerated,noise also by road right next to the place as well as various companies.

Dear Uwe, thank you for your review! Too bad we could not fulfill your expectations. We have high-speed WiFi for our guests throughout the campsite, which works perfectly. All our guests receive the password for this at check-in. Unfortunately, we cannot understand the comment regarding cleanliness,... as our cleaning ladies clean the sanitary facilities more than thoroughly several times a day, and we attach great importance to this. We currently only receive feedback to the contrary, namely that the sanitary facilities are very clean. However, with a high number of guests, it can always happen that a toilet that has just been cleaned is dirty again in a very short time.
