It was really quiet at lunchtime!NeigiamiSanitary facilities not completely clean, or a day was left out by mistake. Little space when arriving with caravan, turning space was sometimes packed. The barrier does not open at quiet times. It was quite loud, still ok (weekend)Very pleasant stayThe place is well suited for families with children, there were few children there, but the playground kept the little ones busy, even if it was a bit outdated. But that's not a bad thing. The restaurant is not for people who can't cope with the smell of cigarettes.
People who are afraid of dogs should... rather call for the hosts to come out. The two dogs in the restaurant are very sweet and charming :-)
Overall I was very satisfied for the price, here and there something should be repaired. Like the wobbly sockets for the caravans. One of the sanitary blocks has been recently renovated. Bread rolls from the bread roll service are nice and crispy and delicious :-)NeigiamiThe garbage area could be cleaned up more often, but it's outside the grounds anyway, so it's not so bad.Good with tent and bikeAfter a long day of cycling, this is a wonderful place to relax. The caring management, the peace and quiet and the special charm of the site make me return time and time again. I enjoy sitting on the dyke, looking out over the water or watching the cows on the opposite bank, letting my dog swim in small bays or being ferried across the Weser on the nostalgic ferry. For me, the stay means pure relaxation without luxury or other frills. I have that at home. The daily breakfast was delicious, sufficient and reasonably priced.NeigiamiThe sanitary facilities were cleaned daily. But unfortunately some visitors manage to soil them from time to time. Well, whose fault is it then? The zipper on the awning could not be closed completely. A small shortcoming, but we solved it creatively ourselves.Camping site DrosselhofI can't understand the very negative comments. For me, the Drosselhof campsite remains a place of relaxation and recreation. Whether in a tent or in a rented caravan, I have enjoyed my stay so far. I love the early morning walks with my dog along the Weser, where we have seen rabbits, deer, lots of water birds and this year more storks.Automatiškai išversta.

December 2019I would like to comment on Marion K.'s report. I can't accept the rating like that. We were at the Drosselhof campsite in 2018 and we liked it there very much. Everything was clean. The lawn was not perfectly mowed and the owners were natural and friendly. We live in a housing estate where every garden... is perfect and everything is always mowed short. It was different here; more relaxed. There are still campers who think they have to misbehave in the sanitary facilities, don't use the brush and complain if there's a spider in the bathroom. But honestly, there will always be these people. We are here again, happy that not everything is perfect. What counts for us is friendliness, fun, enjoyment and peace and quiet. Tommy, the dog, by the way, is a quiet fellow and rather timid. Please do not write reviews that are detrimental to the business. Because everyone here goes to great lengths. Even the cleaners, who have to clean up the campers' mess every day.Automatiškai išversta.

We had ordered bread rolls in the morning...unfortunately the baked rolls looked just as white as before, with the comment that unfortunately they wouldn't get any darker!!!! On departure my partner had the owner's free-running growling dog on his trouser leg, it was only briefly explained that he doesn't like men! Comment: The building is old, the installations are not. Nobody knows where you can see calcification and wear and tear. Bread rolls are raw and not baked, as stated. The dog barked in the restaurant. Something went wrong with the announcement. The right way would have been... to inform the dog owner and not to text something like that hours later. If that's the case. There was never any talk of men, the dog was once afraid of people. As a guest you can also behave differently. The site is unkempt and run down. The access road and the hedges need to be trimmed. I almost tore the bowl off my motorhome in the trees. The shower cubicles are an imposition. They don't even have an anteroom where you can undress. This should be done in public. The... paving slabs to the wash house also need to be replaced. I imagine a cozy restaurant to be different. No possibility to empty the chemical toilet. But it wasn't all bad either. The site is so remote that I even slept until 9:30 in the morning.Automatiškai išversta.

The food was good and plentiful. Breakfast was delicious. The groundsman was very helpful. We had problems with our car. Mr. Becker provided help. Pressed schnitzel and fried potatoes from the pre-pack (fat without end). Result: 3 days of diarrhea. Great vacation. I have never had such bad accommodation. I was able to choose any spot I wanted in the tent meadows. For cycle tourists like me, there is water everywhere in the tent meadows and partly covered tables with benches. It wasn't far to the sanitary building and the facilities were... clean. There are almost only permanent campers, at least I didn't come across any other "tourist campers" during my weekend. The site was heavenly quiet, even though it seemed quite busy to me. You also have the option of going to a restaurant there and eating cheaply, but I didn't do this as I was self-catering. In hindsight, however, I would have liked to have done so. All in all, a good place with a very good price-performance ratio and nice staff. The operators put their heart and soul into their work and take care of their guests' needs. Bread rolls are available at a fair price if ordered the day before. The pitches for tourists are not parceled out,... but that doesn't bother us. The proportion of permanent campers is high, but the ones we met were very open. It's just a shame that some of the pitches look unkempt and have been abandoned for a while. The sanitary facilities in the main building are old, the sanitary building at the back of the site is much newer. However, both are clean and are cleaned daily.
