S.August 2023TeigiamiVery nice operators, uncomplicated handling, pretty unparceled pitches under trees, many electricity distribution points, directly on the cycle path and on the Tauber, close to Wertheim, clean but very old sanitary houseNeigiamiSanitary facilities no longer up to date, chemical toilet is emptied in the men's room, small washbasin with cold water, no storage facilities, shower without the possibility to put dry clothes away safely, everything is very outdated, barrier also partly closed for pedestrians and cyclists during the lunch breakQuiet place in the forestA beautiful, almost ideal place for cyclists. The Tauber cycle path runs right past the site, lots of trees, so hardly any satellite reception, no success with DVB-T either.
I didn't feel comfortable in the sanitary facilities. The chemical toilet is emptied in the men's room, unpleasant for everyone... else who wants to wash or shower there. Everything is quite old, the taps only give cold water and you have to pay extra for the shower.
The facility itself looks old, rustic and in need of an overhaul.
The restaurant offers old German cuisine, no offer for vegetarians.
The very friendly owners, the uncomplicated service and the rather low price are real highlights.

We also really liked the fact that you can choose your own pitch. All in all, a very nice place. The downside (from our point of view) is that the sanitary facilities... were not heated and there was only one tap for cold water at the washbasins.

The site is a good starting point for hikes and city tours. We didn't mind that there is no bread service. We were more bothered by the very old sanitary facilities, which clearly reached their limits with the high occupancy rate. Somewhat older sanitary facilities, but very clean. Very quiet, supplies in the nearby village from the bakery and butcher. The highlight was the opportunity to swim in the Tauber! Free choice of pitches on unparceled grounds with mature trees. Apart from the tent meadow, the water pitches are firmly in the hands of permanent campers. The sanitary building is no longer up to date but always very clean.... Only 2 showers each for men and women. No spatial separation of toilet, chemical toilet sink and washing/shower facilities. Washing facilities only cold water. Many dogs running loose (must be kept on a lead according to site rules?). Access via cycle path also for the restaurant. Therefore a lot of traffic (guests, suppliers, ...) along the site until late in the evening. Adjacent railroad line clearly audible.Automatiškai išversta.

Located directly on the Tauber, fishing permits can be purchased with a fishing license. Very friendly and committed owner and operator. There are fire pits and good fishing opportunities on the tent meadows next door, which belong to the campsite. Very clean sanitary facilities and a family atmosphere. Lots of trees, lots of green, lots of shade. Very nice owners. Good restaurant with young cuisine. Sanitary facilities from the 60's, but clean - also has a certain charm. Coin-operated showers. The owners say that the sanitary... facilities are to be renovated in the near future. Our conclusion: thanks to the rainy summer, there was probably a lack of guests, which suited us because we had plenty of peace and quiet. The Tauber cycle path runs directly alongside the campsite. The interior of the restaurant, like the sanitary facilities, is getting on in years, which cannot be said of the menu. Matthias H.July 2012We were there with two motorcycles and a tent. We checked in at around 7.30 p.m. The tent site is shady and level. The permanent campsites are right next to the Tauber. It's a simple campsite without a lot of frills - camping for purists - which we like. The restaurant is not part of the campsite but... offers excellent home-style cooking and very friendly service. There is no bread roll service (probably for the reasons mentioned above). Some of the rules and prohibitions are a bit weird - such as "some of our guests feel disturbed by cycling on the site, therefore undesirable". I was brushing my teeth with my partner late at night in the men's washroom - a male guest took exception to this. Well, not all people are relaxed :) Otherwise nice operator and uncomplicated.Automatiškai išversta.
