We had 4 out of 11 days of nice weather... apart from that we only liked the kick-out, but more on that in the negative points...Neigiamiwe had people partying hard all around us who are called the "traveling people" (I think you get what I mean). until 11pm there was loud music and afterwards a big mass brawl..perfect for a family with 3 kids..not! The 40 dogs that were there barked and howled the whole night! Here the positive: The place threw down about 100 people. But of course the people were paid to leave. After that it was quiet until 150 Africans partied next to us...These people were friendly and peaceful though.... After we had a few ticks and a lice infestation behind us, there was a storm which forced us to leave. It was nice to shower at home because there was only ice water or boiling water in the showers at the campsite... Open fires are forbidden but nobody from the park cares! Toilet disposal defective, you have to hurry to dispose of it otherwise you're standing ankle deep in your own......! The swimming pool is a big disgrace...the condition is like after 100 years of zombie apocalypse. The indoor playground is also like a war zone... it drips from the ceiling and smells of vomit every day... but that doesn't stop some people from riding down the slide on their e-scooters... again, nobody cares what happens... The store had expired items and very little choice, but the lamps flickered with a bestial mold smell accompanied by the squeaky but non-functioning ventilation...prices were always different, it depended on whether my wife or I bought cigarettes or water there.... At the bingo evening in the "restaurant" we ordered the Homemade IceTea for 10€... delicious crumb tea with lots of water, it's worth it! The lake was relatively beautiful until the first off-leash attack dog ran towards my children. My children are now afraid of dogs, thank you very much! If we had only gotten 5% of our paid vacation back, we would have left after 2 days...Disasternever never never again. The worst vacation of my life!!!
Every second in this place was an absolute waste of my life!Automatiškai išversta.- Michael P.July 2023TeigiamiSize of place for camping is o.k., animals are allowed, swimming pool was good that it was there, unfortunately two of three slides defective, therefore strong concentration on the pool and the remaining slide, store was good, children - indoor paradise was good, many, mostly small playgrounds available, restaurant was o.k., the lake was nice - but there is a sign on it that swimming is prohibitedNeigiamiSanitary facilities unkempt, partly defective and not repaired, cleaning frequently (by some employees, one employee spent his time in the closet playing on his cell phone, no toilet paper available, although announced, Place looks very unkempt due to the many large trees, there is no TV connection anywhere, Minigolf is free but the courses are all broken, the cabins all looked very old and dirty,Not recommendedWe would not go there again, there are plenty of alternatives that are better and not more expensive e.g. Marveld or Twee Bruggen (free washing machines, dryers and dishwashers) and great swimming poolsAutomatiškai išversta.

The whole site is paved over with mobile homes, the camping fields are all under large trees.
The swimming pool is simply getting on in years, many lockers are broken, €1 is still gone because you are allocated... a number digitally.
Most of the showers in the swimming pool were broken, but no matter, nobody showers before bathing anyway...
Apart from that, the swimming pool is simply getting on in years and dirty everywhere, our 2 12-year-olds wanted to get out again after an hour.
The showers in the sanitary block probably didn't work for the ladies either or there was hardly any water, it was good that we had a shower in the car, so we didn't use the sanitary block any more.
There are small playgrounds for children, but they are such that 4 year olds are tired of them after half an hour. A large central playground is somehow missing.
The indoor play area was ok.
It was too cold for the lido but swimming is probably forbidden in the lake anyway.
Conclusion of our stay:
OK as an overnight stay, especially if you have a shower on board, but there are clearly better and nicer places to vacation with children.

- Heidi B.October 2019Very uncleanWe were there on 14.10 2019 with children and would not go back. The accommodation was very unclean and quite cramped, cooking pot partly broken and dirty. The mattresses were full of stains and dirty the unpleasant smell in the house it stank bathroom . To the restaurant I can only say long waiting... times until you are served despite you have said that you want to eat something sometimes you are ignored am after waiting for over an hour without eating something was honestly too stupid for me. The lake is unusable.Never againThis campsite is really an imposition, if you want to relax on vacation you should not go here under any circumstances. The sanitary facilities are honestly a disaster, when there is water it is either cold or too hot, you can't regulate the temperature and the shower heads spray everywhere except on... your body. The swimming pool is old, but that doesn't mean anything, so it could at least be clean. The clientele on the site is below any level. We will never go here again. On the day of departure I had a conversation with a cleaning lady at the campsite, who confirmed that the sanitary facilities had not been cleaned all week "due to lack of time". The sanitary facilities are constantly broken and dirty. Also cheeky to pay 1,- each time to get a locker! No deposit, but pay, although swimming pool included in the price. There was no shower anywhere... near the sauna, so people go into the water all sweaty! Showers were only mixed showers, not separated for men and women. So you couldn't take your clothes off. The indoor playground is great!!! The lake is great. The store has prices and it is always rounded up in favor of the store, you can't pay with cents. The rental accommodation was completely filthy. Had to have 2 mattresses replaced, organize pillows, have a cleaning lady come and clean again! Dishes had to be refilled! It was impossible to sleep on 6cm high mattresses, everything hurt! Sitting outside was not possible, garbage everywhere and the sunshade lay broken in the ditch next to the mobile home. The first day full come broken! No credit note because of the trouble! Only 1 German-speaking employee, who of course not always present. The cards in the restaurant and bathroom not in German. The entire neighbors have celebrated disco with open doors and windows until midnight, every day!!!! And in the morning 5:00 men who lived there went to work, loud with running engine, loud music and entertainment!!!! Quiet in the evening or in the morning!Automatiškai išversta.

Top supermarket, good playgrounds!NeigiamiDirty fun pool, poor information from reception, Reception too rarely manned.Super campsite, fun pool unfortunately very unkemptI was with my family during the fall vacation on the cp. Hengelhoef. It is actually a very well laid out campsite, but unfortunately the reception should be manned at least during the day from 10 am to 4 pm. With a low occupancy you should close parts of the site and not accommodate a few campers here... and there. The sanitary facilities were well maintained and very clean. Unfortunately, the fun pool was very moldy and there were defects everywhere, and in the toilet, believe it or not, a urinal was so clogged for a week that it overflowed when automatically flushed, and some promised attractions such as wave pool or white water slide were only offered on weekends or not at all. Very positive was the small supermarket, which was quite well stocked and if they didn't have something you were really helped. It was worth an experience, but we won't be going there again! Supermarket well stocked and not overpriced. Sanitary facilities (shower/toilet)... 2 of 4 buildings open. The others looked as if they had been out of order for some time. However, clean, major cleaning twice a day. Swimming pool is getting on in years and a bit moldy here and there but well equipped with slides and children's things. Staff are friendly but seem to have instructions to react defensively to complaints. Mostly German is understood, it's best to at least make an effort to speak some Dutch! Departure by 10 a.m. is a bit early if you have to take down a large tent. There are nice towns in the area that also have nightlife to offer (Genk).Automatiškai išversta.

The outside area was also not worth mentioning! When we complained they were very slow to respond and they were not able to get the water crane in the kitchen and bathroom working!... The reception did not understand German and there was nothing translated into German. The young ladies at the reception seemed overwhelmed! If you want to read the fishing regulations you are lost! There was enough entertainment for the children, the swimming pool was also good! The supermarket on the cp was relatively well stocked.
