I went to Clown Océan with a lot of trepidation because the reviews of this campsite are not very good, but to my great surprise I found a great 2-star campsite. There's a very warm welcome on arrival (the hostesses are all smiles), and if you need anything, such as the address of a doctor or any other... information, they're at your disposal. As far as activities on the campsite are concerned, you obviously have not 1 but 2 heated swimming pools (one of which has a small jacuzzi area), there's also a skating rink with a snake-shaped slide for the little ones, and for the older ones you'll find 2 huge slides that turn in all directions. Every morning you can do aquagym for about half an hour, after which you can refresh yourself at the bar or, better still...eat a good pizza at a very affordable price (around 9€) or even have a little barbecue with friends. Otherwise, you can take your children to the playground (swings, slides, tennis court, ping pong tables, pétanque area and even an inflatable game) unless they're already at the day-care center, where there's entertainment on circus life (day-care is FREE) and finally, in the evening, there's a party (dance, quiz, karaoke, concert, theater.....). As far as the sanitary facilities are concerned, they're old (and I've seen worse) but they're clean (the cleaning ladies come every morning and evening). For tent, caravan or camper pitches, you should know that the campsite tries to place people of the same generation together (there's a corner for young people and a corner preferably reserved for families with children) as far as possible, of course. The mobile homes, caravans and chalets look new and very spacious from the outside. Personally, I'd be delighted to return to this campsite, and I'd recommend it if you're looking for a good value holiday!!!!!
