The paradise of horror
We travel a lot with our motorhome, get around a lot and think that we should express an opinion here. This campsite in no way deserves the name "camping paradise".
Disorder and a lack of hygiene are the order of the day.
It looks like the cleaning lady/cleaner died years ago or can no longer find her... way here.
The whole shower house is very run-down and very dirty. Hot water is also hard to come by, if you turn the hot water tap on completely, lukewarm water splashes around.
Luckily we have an outside shower on the motorhome which we used.
Otherwise you pay electricity for all showers here......Money rip-off.
The whole place is very outdated and therefore looks very unkempt.
The restaurant has also closed down and you can't get fresh bread rolls for breakfast here either.
What a pity!

Good place for transit
We stayed at the campsite for one night while passing through. Due to its proximity to the highway, it is ideally located for this.
The sanitary building is completely new, but unfortunately totally unkempt. Cleaning only takes place very rarely, if at all.
Hot water for the shower is charged on a chip,... three minutes are included in the booking; we still only had cold water.
The whole place does not make a very well-kept impression.
There were a lot of dogs on the site during our stay. They were probably competing to see who could bark the loudest and longest. Unfortunately, the dog owners (permanent campers and travelers) did not have their dogs under control, but this is not the responsibility of the campsite operator. The best he could do to counteract this would be to ban dogs.

Positives: - the swimming pool (open day and night) - the fallow deer (there was a note in the pool saying that feeding should be banned because the wrong or even dangerous things get into the enclosure; I can't understand why it is not actually banned) - the playground - not overcrowded - We didn't have electricity straight away, but it was switched on when we asked. As we normally book without electricity and only used it to pump up the mattresses, we didn't see the limitation as a negative thing. The gentleman was also not so unfriendly when we asked.

- As already mentioned here several times, the operators are very unfriendly. If you want guests to come back, you should think about how you talk to them. Years of camping experience, even with less than ideal sanitary conditions, have not led me to write a review, perhaps not even of this site. But I was very annoyed by the way it was. As soon as we arrived, we stopped briefly at the motorhome site in front of the barrier, in the obvious absence of a parking space, our window was knocked on with the words: "The parking lot is here" with a finger pointing to a piece of grass in front of the cornfield. Unfortunately, we couldn't see it without a sign. I don't know who the man was who knocked, he was gone too quickly. Here are a few examples from my memory log: 1. the deposit I paid a deposit for both seats together immediately after booking. This deposit was not in your records, which I hope is not my fault, but was suggested to me. I offered to check on which date this was, but got no answer. The lady then "checked" back and forth with the gentleman (I assume) and lo and behold, the deposit was there. Then she wanted to charge for one place. I asked if I should pay for both individually, but got no answer. They just kept clicking on the PC. I was then allowed to pay for both together. 2. the guest who did not arrive I informed them that a guest would not be arriving. Without me asking if we could get the price waived and also without asking if there might be an important or even health reason for this, the gentleman told me in passing that it was bad and they also had to watch their money and that's why we had booked. Period. Then he was gone again. Well, it wasn't an expense, but it could have been worded much more kindly. 3. the Sunday question I asked about this in at least three emails during the bumpy booking process. In the last one, I even explicitly asked only this: Is it possible to stay on the pitch a little longer than 11 a.m. on Sunday? We had arrived late on Friday and would have liked to spend some time there on Sunday. First of all, this question was not answered at all, not at all. No answer, simply ignored. Well, then I asked again on site. And there too, the question was ignored (and I spoke louder because I had the feeling that we couldn't understand each other through the face mask and the plexiglass screen). The lady continued typing without answering or asking what I had said. After she had finished, I asked again. Instead of an answer or a "wait a minute I'll ask" she went into the next room to the gentleman without a sound, came back and said nothing, just gave me the transponders. I then asked again. The answer: "Yes, only if you pay again." Ok...that was an answer, I can work with that. But again, the manner was impossible. The answer could also have been friendlier. For example, "We're sorry, but that's only possible if you pay something else." Or they could have simply asked how long and then decided whether they could afford to be so inflexible for an hour or two. I could have understood at that time that you have to keep your money together in the industry, but that wasn't customer loyalty. I also have to say that the place wasn't fully booked, otherwise it would have been more than understandable and could have been communicated that way, but that wasn't the case. - At first glance, the corona measures look great. Signs everywhere and a concept. But it wasn't implemented. We were not asked for proof of testing or vaccination on arrival. At first glance, the operators can't help their guests, who hardly wore masks in the toilet and bathroom area, but apparently they assume that this is not taken so seriously after the lax reception without interest in proof. - WiFi: free of charge and without a connection; you hardly ever had an internet connection when you were in the WiFi
The place is good, but the staff are not hospitable
Neutral, but worth mentioning:
- the proximity to the highway (not disturbing during the day, but too loud at night for some)
- rationed hot water for washing up, but it was enough for us; could have been left as it is
- Waste separation is important, but checking immediately after throwing it away is... a bit borderline
- The "older" toilets seem a bit outdated, the newer communal toilets with showers appear modern at first glance, with USB charging facilities etc., but have been treated carelessly. There are cables and pipes everywhere. The joints are very unclean, especially in the lower door area. Also, some people don't like sitting next to a urinal. But there are also cabins without urinals.
- We did not test the bread roll service
- We did not test the restaurant

Thank goodness the door was closed at departure time, so we were able to throw the transponders in the box provided and leave without further contact. And I've already read a few responses from the operators saying that they think it's a shame that you don't try to talk to them straight away. But you don't want to do that when you meet someone like that.

The sanitary facilities were not (insufficiently) cleaned - especially in corona times, hygiene should be observed. But nobody here is interested in that. You can take 5 min. hot showers - per day! Free WLAN - but no or hardly any Internet. The whole place is totally outdated. Everything was amateurishly put together!

We cannot recommend this place due to the poor cleanliness and lack of hygiene. WLAN yes, but no or hardly any internet.

Everything was amateurishly tinkered with.

Prices for this offer are overpriced - probably taking advantage of the moment - because hardly anyone who has been there comes back!

Beautiful place
We went on a few bike rides in the surrounding area. The campsite's swimming pool was still closed. The sanitary facilities are very well maintained. The pitch is a good size. We had a good meal at the nearby restaurant.
The nearest supermarkets (Ottersberg and Sottrum) are about 6 km away by bike.
Despite the proximity of the highway, we did not hear it or only very quietly.
We liked it.

A good place to pass through
This site is easily accessible from the highway, but is getting a bit long in the tooth. The transit pitch we got was sufficient for our caravan, which was just under 13m long. There was electricity and water directly at the pitch, gray water would have to be collected. Bread rolls could be pre-ordered... on request. We did not make use of this service.
Access to the sanitary building is via a chip, which is also required for 5 minutes of hot water. My wife and I got by with it for one shower. We didn't use up the included 5kwh of electricity, even though the boiler and fridge were switched on.
The sanitary building has been modernized, it is like the bathroom at home with shower, sink and toilet.
The free wifi is sufficient.
But when I compare the price with the place where we were the following day, June 1st (Whitsun weekend) in Rerik, the place in Rerik seems cheap to me.

Ok transit site but...
Nice new toilets/baths. The pool is under rebuild atm. but it was possible to have a swin. Nice big chest/ludo etc games.

Very good for transit
We visited this site for 2 days. The place looks very well maintained. The reception was very friendly. The pitches are quite large. The sanitary facilities are partly quite new with great cabins, but they should be cleaned regularly. The system with a transponder is not bad but 5 minutes shower per day and 5kw electricity per day then you have to recharge is no longer up to date.

It's great for kids!
It's close to the highway. Really good for children. There are lots of animals to watch. You can go swimming and spend the night while driving past.

An excellent place to spend the night
Nice little CP near the A1 (exit 50). The entrance area for registration is a bit confusing and not appealing. But the actual site is a little further on and is very well maintained, generously parceled out and attractively laid out. The transit area is particularly practical. You drive in from one side... and can drive out from the other. So no maneuvering. The site has a swimming pool, an animal enclosure and aviaries. There is also a playground. The sanitary block is brand new and very clean. One shower per person per day and electricity is included in the price. We were passing through and visited the restaurant. We ate very well! I would definitely visit again.

Very nice plots, well-kept grounds, close to the highway, the beautiful large pool, the new area of the sanitary building had individual bathrooms with shower, sink and toilet, the adjacent game reserve.

A different kind of sanitary facility
We stayed at this campsite for 4 nights. Yes, the sanitary building is really something else. There are several different bathrooms and also individual toilet rooms. This creates a private atmosphere. We've never seen anything like it. Hot water is only available by chip. This can be charged in the wash... house and read out there. All you have to do is hold the chip up to the display. This gives you an overview of your topped-up credit at all times. Unfortunately, the water temperature in the showers is not so easy to regulate. So it can be too cold or too hot. However, this is not the case in all bathrooms. Unfortunately, there is only lukewarm water for washing dishes (even with a chip). The nearby highway doesn't bother us that much. The access to the site is, as already described in other reviews, somewhat confusing. We also didn't drive behind the building, because at that moment you have to worry about not being able to drive through there. The place is also characterized by permanent campers. some have washed their car there on Sunday. Bread roll service and restaurant available. The nearest town is not far away for shopping. Unfortunately it was a bit too cold to use the swimming pool. All in all, the campsite is in good condition and we would definitely come back.

We were satisfied!
We (2 adults) stayed at this site for one night at the beginning of October. The signage is a bit misleading in the dark as there is a blue camping sign directly at the restaurant pointing to the left, but the entrance is a hundred meters further on! The second sign is at the end of the road before you... turn left onto the site. This sign says "Camping" and below it there are arrows pointing to the right. But the campsite is on the left! As I said, I found it irritating in the dark! The campsite is relatively close to the highway, which was important for us. Despite the proximity, I didn't find it very noisy and was able to sleep perfectly with the window open. We had a transit site where we could leave the camper van hitched up overnight, ideal for an early onward journey. After registering, we were given a chip for the sanitary facilities. We were also kindly informed about the bread roll service. The new sanitary building is really very nice and well thought out. They are actually proper individual bathrooms with washbasin, shower and WC. There are also lots of storage facilities! Great! We can recommend the food in the restaurant without reservation. Both meals were deliciously freshly prepared and the owners were very warm and attentive. There is a collection container for the chip so that you can leave very early in the morning! In my opinion a great, simple solution! We were satisfied!

Hello, what a pleasure, at last someone is writing and in a positive way. We've been hearing nothing but praise in our plant all summer, but so far only you have dared to do so. Thank you very much for that!

For those arriving, the access road actually leads through our courtyard. There is also a large... illuminated sign pointing to the reception.
This was necessary in order not to disturb the agricultural traffic on the road.

The arrows pointing to the right lead to the neighboring competitor!

Sometimes, when the wind is unfavorable, the not too distant highway disturbs. But otherwise, nice large pitches, a new sanitary building with family showers, a nice outdoor pool and a good restaurant, what more could you want? we always like to go there for a few days.

Our first campsite
We (my husband and I and our 3 Dobermans) have only recently become caravan owners. As we had an appointment nearby, we thought we'd take the opportunity and take the caravan with us. The campsite was recommended to us by a local resident and I have to say we weren't disappointed. An absolutely important... criterion for us was that it was dog-friendly. At our time there were several dogs on the site, you can go for a great walk and there are also swimming facilities nearby. In short, we didn't get any nasty looks with our 3 Dobermans (although our dogs are also well behaved :-)) and we would love to come again. The sanitary facilities are actually not that nice, but well, you can make do. But they are working hard on the new sanitary building. The site operators are also friendly enough in my opinion (I've seen worse) and a power failure caused by a neighbor's wet cable drum was quickly fixed by the site operator at night. Conclusion: you have everything you need and a little more. We will be back!

Whitsun 2015 is over. Whether the new wash house is finished remains questionable. During all our visits, the water connections at the pitch had too little pressure for our city water connection. The noise from the nearby highway prevents us from visiting again.

We stayed here for two nights to visit the city of Bremen. The proximity to the city was ok but that was it! The place was not really well maintained and the sanitary facilities were dirty and old! We were told that a new building would be built but I can't say as we didn't visit this site again.

Transit camping
The campsite is used to allow campers traveling through to stay overnight without having to unhitch. Although our motorhome with car in tow easily fitted on the allocated pitch, we were asked to pay an additional fee of €3. Reason: the motorhome is very large. Our planned dinner at the campsite restaurant was canceled and future stopovers will be at other campsites

As standard, we first allocate a certain number of large pitches for the price of small pitches. Our price list provides for a surcharge for caravans or motorhomes over 8 meters in length. This makes it a little more fair to small caravan owners. However, as you were there out of season, you should only have paid €2.50 more, i.e. 50 cents too much. Sorry

We, that's me, are lone fighters. It's not easy to keep up to date. Last winter, I started building a new additional sanitary block. The planned completion date is Whitsun 2015 at the latest, if everyone has enough energy.
