We received a very warm welcome and felt very comfortable. The guests at the campsite were all very friendly and uncomplicated, even if we sat outside a little longer in the evening and it was a bit noisy from time to time.
The... site is small but nice, without fixed pitches. Anyone looking for a quiet and uncomplicated campsite without all the frills is in the right place here. We were actually there for two weeks back in 2016, but had to cancel the first week without planning. This time we were here for two weeks in beautiful weather. Barbara and Hannes still knew us and Famy and are totally lovely... and welcoming. You simply have to feel at home here. Shopping on the campsite, in the village or in Interlaken, everything is possible, as you can also travel free of charge by bus. The dog pays half price. The sanitary facilities are clean and tidy and are cleaned every day. There are no shortcomings. Tiptop. We'll come here again when we're visiting family. By the way, Hannes and Barbara are very uncomplicated, last year my husband paid late in the evening so that we could leave immediately the next morning, which was not foreseeable during the day and went smoothly. In good weather, you have a wonderful view of the surrounding, lower mountains from the campsite. Over the course of the days, the number of campers on the site changed considerably, but there was always enough space... for everyone and it remained very cozy, regardless of whether caravan or tent campers turned up. The site is also not crammed full of permanent campers but really makes you feel welcome. Our pitch on the rock face was sunny and offered us welcome protection from the wind on the colder days. We received a super friendly welcome from the groundsman couple and were always very pleasantly served. They were extremely helpful with all our questions and problems and also helped us out when our leaking tent almost ruined our vacation on two bad rainy days. The snack bar on summer weekends is a great place to eat and drink, and the special burger with raclette cheese and homemade sauce is an absolute treat! Be sure to try it and have a Mountain Twister with it! The small store at the campsite sells everything you need and a little bit more :) You can also kindly leave your ice packs there to be refrozen. In addition to the caravan and tent meadow, there is also a small "village" with beautiful wooden huts that you can rent. A walk through this part of the campsite is idyllic and enchanting. The location of the campsite is also ideal for pedestrians. Thanks to the guest card and the free bus routes it includes, beautiful hiking routes are within easy reach, as is the town and all kinds of stores for equipment and food. For the less experienced and enduring hikers who still want to climb up to the heights to take in the breathtaking panorama of the Bernese Alps, I recommend buying a Jungfrau Pass for a few days. At the reception of the campsite you can buy all kinds of tickets for excursions and thanks to the guest card you also get many discounts! You immediately feel welcome and in very good hands. Suitable for all... age groups and there is a place for everyone, from caravans to tents. No pitches, considerate treatment of guests. Well-kept sanitary facilities, snack bar at the weekend, small store with the essentials for daily needs. Village store nearby with great opening hours. Just a few minutes' walk to the lake. De owners are very friendly and hospitable and there is a overall peaceful friendly atmosphere on the camping. This camping was for us a great alternative to the packed campsites in and around Interlaken. the pitches for the tents where nice as well... with good grass surface and shade provided by the trees on the south side of the campsite. the camping is about a 10 min drive from interlaken by car. however with the travel cards provided by the camping taking the bus for free was a great way of getting around as well and no hassle with parking. :) thank you very much for our pleasant stay.
