    Camping with charm, sheep and chickens
    A quiet campsite almost directly on the former border strip. Some compromises that you think you have to make but don't are due to the fact that the owner runs the site on her own, looks after it and has to keep it clean - respect!!!

    So simple and so uncomplicated
    We felt at home here. Very simple camping in a wonderful natural setting without a 30-page list of rules. It's certainly not all new and modern. But that also has its charm.

    Peace and nature
    It was our first time there, but definitely not our last. A lovely little campsite with plenty of peace and quiet. Lots of space to unfold. Free-range chickens that produce very tasty eggs. Apart from the occasional car or tractor, all we heard was nature. Centrally located in the Röhn, everything that is interesting can be reached in a short time. And all managed by Anja herself - hats off.

    Terraced camping
    Beautiful location, terraced campsite, you can walk away over the old ddr border. Beautiful landscape in low mountain range. In the Moor you can also make beautiful walks.Shops are a few km's away.Restaurant has only 2 menus, but very good and much.Showering without coins. Fireplace at the separate tent field.Also runs a creek along.No WiFi.

    Cheap good space
    A cheap and good site. There are cats and chickens running around the campsite and a playground for children. There is a Bierstube with some refreshments. All in all, it's a site that's worth the drive

    The site is quietly located in the village. The playground is getting on in years. Sanitary facilities clean, but musty smell. Characterized by permanent campers who completely enclose their caravans. The restaurant is not accessible for campsite visitors during events (meeting). Wanted to order food, but this was refused. Statement from the operator, "You won't starve to death!"

    Quiet, simple place to relax
    The campsite is characterized by permanent campers and is connected to a farm with a restaurant. we found the free-range chickens on the site funny. We were given a friendly welcome and also enjoyed the bread roll service. The sanitary facilities were always clean. The location of the campsite makes it ideal for hiking and cycling. We would love to come back.

    peace on the border of former East Germany
    We felt like we were at an SVR campground. Nice and friendly, spacious places and casual. Landlady Anja runs a cozy Gasthof. The prices are old-fashioned. Sanitary facilities are not the newest, but more than sufficient in quantity and clean. The tourist office in Hilders is very helpful. There are many walks in the area over hills with beautiful views. Despite the not great weather we had a great time.

    Nice quiet place, which is attached to a farm, sanitary facilities were not the most modern but always clean. There is a small store with all the essentials. The pub is cozy, but the food is not necessarily the best. Price - performance is very good.
