The campsite was very quiet and right on the banks of the Moselle. The sanitary facilities were well equipped and very clean. Departure also went without complications.Automatiškai išversta.- Elke B.June 2024TeigiamiLocation of the CP, cleanliness of sanitary facilitiesNeigiamiSee commentFor us the first and last timeUnfortunately only 2 stars possible (location directly on the Moselle and cleanliness of the sanitary facilities) We had 14 days of extreme construction noise, as well as permanent tractor driving, daily lawn mowing hedge trimming etc by groundskeeper. The city was responsible for the construction noise,... but no concession (small price reduction) by the operator. Went to reception several times to ask for consultation, to which I was only answered. You can leave. Furthermore, we had a pitch that was only partially usable because it was being misused as a shortcut by other campers to the sanitary facilities. See pictures, no remedy was found here either. The path inside the campsite in front of the pitches by the water was used as a race track for cyclists. Very dangerous for small children and dogs. The road behind the pitches was public and the speed limit was not adhered to here either (you had to cross if you wanted to go to the toilet). Showers were clean but with a minimal water jet - either hot or cold depending on how many showers were used at the same time. Although I mentioned this several times to reception, the operator did not consider it necessary to get in touch with us. If we hadn't set everything up on Sunday when we arrived we would have left immediately.Automatiškai išversta.

Short distance to the beautiful town of ZellNeigiamiNone to be recognized by us.3 beautiful days in Zell/MoselIt was our first time at this beautiful campsite and we were annoyed on the first day that we hadn't booked for longer. We will definitely do it differently next time.
Since my dear wife has been 100% disabled (wheelchair) since a stroke and there was no disabled toilet or shower, we wanted for nothing... thanks to the exceptional flexibility and inventiveness of the friendly staff!
We went to two more campsites, but we liked it best here in Zell/Mosel.

There is nothing to complain about from our point of view. We received a very friendly welcome.
The site is beautifully situated. The pitches could be a bit bigger, but that didn't bother us.
Water and waste water are conveniently available... on site.
The whole site and the sanitary buildings were always very clean and although the site was well frequented, I didn't have too many people washing up or using the sanitary facilities.
Another plus point is that no railroad runs past or opposite the site. This makes the site very quiet and you can hardly hear the main road above the village.
I can't understand some of the negative reviews. The fixed departure and arrival times have their reason due to the single-lane access road.

We received a very unfriendly welcome because we arrived before 2 pm, even though our pitch was free. The sanitary building is quite nice and clean but unfortunately much too cold to shower in the morning. Also, the number of toilets and showers and especially... the sinks for washing dishes is clearly too small. Unfortunately, there is also no restaurant or at least a snack bar.
Especially as the price of over 35 euros per night is already quite high for the Moselle region, and you even have to pay extra for the water to flush out the chemical toilet.
The pitches are large enough and have electricity and water connections.

We received the booking confirmation immediately after our booking request. Fortunately, we only noticed the bad reviews for this pitch AFTER our booking. It's amazing what people criticize about a place that turned out to be... beautiful and close to nature.
We can't understand why the pitches are rated as too small. After all, we have a 9-meter-long caravan and were easily able to accommodate the car, the awning AND the towing vehicle on the pitch.
The location directly on the Moselle is unique. We are happy to take the associated fauna (geese, ducks, swans) with us. The peace and quiet on the site is simply heavenly for us city dwellers. The sanitary facilities are always clean and very modern. Our pitch had its own water connection and waste water could also be disposed of directly at the pitch.
As a precaution, we had booked a late arrival after 18:00 as we didn't know whether we would make it to the pitch before then. This worked perfectly.
The access conditions criticized in the bad reviews turned out not to be so critical. We have already experienced completely different access routes with our projectile. A little vehicle obstruction should be more of a challenge than an obstacle for caravanners. Here, however, access is no problem at all, despite the 14-meter length of the trailer.
So if you want to spend a relaxing time on the Moselle with a little comfort, you are welcome to come here. From Easter onwards, the restaurants on the site will also be open again.

Everything that isn't gravel is muddy when it's wet.Quite a crowdThe site is not really a campsite, there is still a lot missing. It's more like a spruced-up camper van site. Personally, I can't imagine going on vacation there with a tent. It's either on gravel or immediately in the mud when it rains. The pitches are so narrow that they are almost exhausted with a... caravan and awning. There is no separation between the pitches.
I also don't think it's suitable for small children as it borders directly on the water - without any security.
The site operators seem to agree to EVERYONE calling, even if the site is already full. This culminates in a newcomer squeezing in between 2 motorhomes at midnight. The long access road is single-lane and the smarter one gives way in oncoming traffic. A challenge with a 13 m caravan.
The pitches are a bit cramped, but sufficient for a short vacation.
The staff, who are very friendly and helpful, deserve... special mention. They have a solution for everything and a friendly word, no matter what stress is going on.
The sanitary facilities are excellent and are cleaned to a high gloss every morning. Large showers and good color ambience.

The pitches are large and there is always a fresh water connection between two pitches. The two sanitary facilities are newly renovated and wonderfully... clean. The kiosk offers bread rolls and food as well as wine from the region, which is no more expensive than from the winegrower. Great beer garden with stream. There are many winegrowers who offer wine tastings.

Good location: in ten minutes you can reach the other bank of the Moselle via a narrow footbridge and thus the "town center" of the town of Zell, which has around 4,500 inhabitants. However, there is only one corner store and mainly restaurants, cafés and wine shops. If you want to stock up on groceries for your stay, the best place to do so is in the Zell-Barl shopping center, which is located high up.Automatiškai išversta.

Then nothing to read that there is a school at the CP, so quite noisy in the morning. Price for our place (059) too expensive. Was not first row for us. Access a disaster. Father-in-law was visiting, on departure he had to reverse halfway back with his WOMO. Because tractors and new carriages came from the front. There is nothing for shopping in the village, the nearest ALDI IS only accessible by car.
Access to the CP is a disaster.

Apart from the muddy ground in places, there is nothing to complain about. The staff are very friendly and helpful, even with questions from beginners. The sanitary facilities are very modern and clean. The bread... roll service also worked well. We liked the location directly on the Moselle and the short walk to the center of Zell. If you want to eat good Italian food, you should try Quo Vadis in the pedestrian zone. The price/performance ratio is unbeatable with the winter prices. Pitches ok but in the rain very quickly mud on pitch and road. Dogs are not welcome in the bistro and have to be "parked outside the door". No problem in the beer garden. Catering ok. We then went into town for dinner because of our... dog. We wanted to have a delicious meal in the Linde restaurant. Unfortunately, the owner of the restaurant didn't know what delicious food is. My rump steak was deep-fried on the plate just like all the other schnitzel etc. too. Prices like in a hotel but every chip shop is better. So please avoid the restaurant.Automatiškai išversta.

The pitch was big enough; water, waste water and electricity directly on the pitch. There are two very modern wash houses, which were also very clean. As the site is very long and we were right in the middle between the wash houses,... it was a bit of a hike to get there. A bike would have been helpful. The town of Zell can be reached in 10 minutes on foot via a pedestrian bridge over the Moselle. We chose the site partly because it was advertised as having a bathing beach and a very warm weekend was forecast. To call this patch of grass a bathing beach is very optimistic. It was also covered in duck droppings and you couldn't get into the water because creeping algae and other aquatic plants were growing right up to the "beach". The access road is so narrow that two caravans could never fit past each other. When we left the site, a caravan came towards us and had to back up at least 50 m to a place where we could just about drive past. The site is quiet, but there is still a very friendly atmosphere... among the campers. The area is fantastic and ideal for hiking. Only a small snack bar on site in the form of tarte flambée, but a small grocery store with bread roll service (pre-order the day before). Restaurants on both sides of the Moselle.
