However, it was very crowded. The ladies at reception were very stressed and not very friendly. Campers stood close together. In the past, our pitch was divided into a pitch for a camper van + a tent pitch (105) and was also right next to a small exit. Due to the... narrowness, everyone liked to walk across our pitch, which was used by everyone as a shortcut. We were also annoyed by the "bread roll situation". The baker comes to the pitch at 8.10 in the morning. You can only buy bread rolls from 8.10 am to around 8.30 am. The campers stand there tired and unwashed in a long queue waiting for their turn. The sanitary facilities were very clean, except for the holidays. But that's not the fault of the campsite operators, it's the campers themselves. As already mentioned, height-adjustable shower heads... would be an advantage, especially as the water pressure could not be regulated.
The pitches were mowed within a very short time,
after the pitch was cleared. So they were very well maintained.Automatiškai išversta. - Carmen T.September 2023TeigiamiThe campsite has an idyllic location not far from Lake Fichtelsee. The Fichtelsee is very suitable for swimming. The allocated pitch had a well-kept, level gravel surface, so sleeping was pleasant. The sanitary facilities appeared to be new and were very well maintained. The whole campsite makes a very well-kept impression and is nice and quiet, no matter what time of day. As I had no electricity and therefore my charger and cell phone were out of battery, the operator was kind enough to charge them for me. You can buy coffee, sweets and alcoholic drinks in the store. The operators are generally polite.NeigiamiThe office closures during breaks are a major disadvantage. During opening hours, the rush is huge and the operators seem stressed.... There is no snack bar on the square where you can get a quick hot meal. You have to walk a bit to the nearest restaurant.September 2 nights Fichtelsee pitch for a TouranI would recommend this campsite to others. It is quiet, clean and beautifully situated. The prices are moderate. I would give it 4 stars, because there should be a possibility for those arriving at any time to get something warm to eat and perhaps also a cold large beer to quench their thirst.

The site itself is beautifully situated, within walking distance of the lake, 1st class sanitary facilities. Barefoot path, bread roll service, information on everything and everyone, restaurant on the other side of the lake, swimming opportunities in the lake, great operators, permanent site maintenance, beautiful and well-equipped children's play area, 2 wash houses, WiFiNeigiamiThe site describes itself as particularly animal-friendly and has received awards for this. This means that it is visited by people and animals alike. In my long camping history, I have never experienced such a large number of dogs on a campsite and never so many large dogs per caravan unit. However, they all behaved themselves and didn't make a sound. Nevertheless, there were a few 4-legged and 2-legged dogs that made a lot of noise. So - beautiful place, fantastic area, but you have to be tolerant of large numbers of dogs. The former mini-golf course only exists as a ruin, but there is a table tennis table and the beautiful playground etc. mentioned above.Summer '23 at Lake Fichtelsee again after 50 yearsBeautifully situated, well-maintained site with a wide range of leisure activities in the immediate and immediate vicinity. For children, families, sports enthusiasts (cycling, skiing, hiking, stand-up paddling, history of the Fichtelgebirge), those interested in culture and (mobile) senior citizens. - Ulf S.June 2022TeigiamiQuiet, well-located site with large pitches.NeigiamiAccess problematic when several arrivals have to wait and the parking lot is full (weekends and public holidays). Barrier operation at the entrance a little awkward: you have to get out and open the barrier with a key.Beautiful campsite at the FichtelseeThe site is easily accessible and the pitches are spacious. I like the fact that the pitches are laid out with pebbles. Our awning carpet was not necessary. The sanitary buildings (i.e. SG) are modern and clean. The showers are spacious and equipped with an anteroom for the utensils, water comes from... the permanently installed overhead shower. However, there are only 2 showers (men's) at the front of the SG at the reception, there are 4 at the rear SG. The site is totally quiet, the baker himself brings bread rolls to the site at 8.00 am. They are delicious and the selection is good. The staff are very friendly. The lake is about 100m away, opposite the pitch is the restaurant/hotel. So for an exploration in the Fichtelgebirge really recommended - such as the rock labyrinth as a sight.
When we arrived on Whit Monday, we blocked the entire access road because there were several caravans in a row. This meant that the parking lot right next to it was blocked, so you have to drive onto the sidewalk in good time. But that doesn't quite work because the parking machine is there, so pedestrians are also in the way ;-)Automatiškai išversta.

Nobody was interested in a 10 p.m. night's rest. It wasn't until around 3 a.m. that things quietened down.StopoverActually a beautiful place with a wonderful lake and great hiking trails. We stayed for 2 nights on the way north as a stopover. The site was completely full at the weekend and some campers didn't care about a good night's sleep. Unfortunately for us 2 short nights. Which was a shame.

The surrounding area is great for hiking. We actually wanted to stay 7 days, but left after 1 day. There are 2 sanitary buildings. An old one without air extraction, so all windows and doors had to remain open because of Corona. Showering at 8 o'clock at 1 degree outside temperature took some getting used to. The 2nd newer building was well heated and ventilated, but was cleaned by 9am. From then on there was a queue.Automatiškai išversta.

As the weather was very mixed, we were happy about the gravel surface. We took our e-bikes into the mountains every day and enjoyed the beautiful countryside. The campsite was absolutely quiet and the sanitary facilities were super clean. The showers were nice and hot.... The nearby Fichtelsee is very beautiful. Nice that there is a bakery car, but too early for us, unfortunately we didn't make it every day. We also tried the mobile pizza car and would recommend it to others. Back then with my folding caravan, in between with a caravan and since this year with a motorhome. The campsite is always very well maintained and very clean! The pitches are spacious and you can also get pitches with fresh water connections and drainage. Great starting point for many hikes. You can largely leave your car behind if you want. One sanitary building is a little older, one is quite new. Both are kept very clean. The whole campsite... is also kept very clean. Very dog-friendly. Lake Fichtelsee is just around the corner. Ideal for dog owners. The Ochsenkopf lift is approx. 5 km away and the cross-country ski trails and pistes are perfectly groomed. Simply a dream. The place to feel good - sanitary facilities (BOTH houses!) super clean and well maintained.... The entire staff is very friendly and helpful. The campsite is highly recommended. Oh yes, and the local gastronomy too - super tasty and reasonably priced. Further stays in the meantime in all seasons: Great hiking area. Pure relaxation all round! Always happy to return! You can just tell that the owners are there for their guests with passion and commitment.Automatiškai išversta.

Enchanting surroundings, indeed a cinematic landscape. Always spotlessly clean sanitary facilities; very well-kept grounds with spacious pitches. Friendly service and support at reception. The site operators were ALWAYS very friendly and helpful to... us - and when we were waiting in reception, we always noticed this from other guests too. We found the barrier closing times to be pleasant times of peace and quiet. And permanent campers? What permanent campers? Out of 118 pitches, just 9 are occupied by permanent campers (all scattered around the site). The guest in question, who highlighted this as a negative point, must have been on another site. Info for tent users - allow more time for pitching! The site is more suitable for caravans etc. The ground does not want to swallow... pegs.
The operator was always friendly and professional. Unfortunately, we only ever experienced the operator in a bad mood. He was either annoyed or aggressive. Most of the time he belittled an employee in front of everyone's eyes and ears. We would have liked the "human aura" to be very different here. At least in such a way that you don't have to witness the disputes of the operators as a vacationer.Automatiškai išversta. - Krause B.August 2019TeigiamiThe situationNeigiamiVery mountainous surroundingsTop location with many possibilities for your free timeThe site is perfectly located for hikers and the lake is just a few minutes away. There you can go boating, eat out and, if you're lucky, attend an open-air concert. Fichtelberg can be reached by bike, where you can find supplies and very good restaurants such as the "Specht" and "Museo". We recommend... e-bikes, as the area is very hilly. A visit to the old Silbereisen mine is worthwhile, as is a trip to the Ochsenkopf and nearby Bayreuth. The old sanitary building is probably getting on in years, but still usable. The new one is of course better. Both are clean. When the bread roll van comes, it's best to wait until it has driven to the second delivery point, then the rush is bearable and there is still enough 😉 I can't confirm the criticized friendliness, we got along well with the operator. The groundsman drives an old English machine that is worth seeing and hearing. The pitch was big enough for us, even if it's not immediately obvious where it starts and ends. The groundsman had to explain this. You can only set up guy ropes with massive pegs and a steel hammer! Campers like to camp on the edge of the pitch, which is not always quiet. The pitch is unkempt, the ground is compacted like concrete. But the worst thing is the deprivation of liberty - you can't leave the pitch with your vehicle between 12:30 and 14:30. The toilets are clean but there are not enough of them. There is no kitchen, the scullery is cramped and too small.
