Very friendly staff in the restaurant, there are schnitzels of all kinds, we were happy not to have to cook after the long drive and were very satisfied with the service and the food. We had the misfortune to be on a very shady pitch.
Wash houses are good.
Good starting point for a visit to Papenburg.
Restaurant doesn't have much choice, all kinds of schnitzel.

The revised part of the site is to be for permanent campers in the future and the remaining part is to be redesigned. If the path taken so far is followed consistently, it will be a site with potential. Unfortunately,... there is currently not even a small kiosk for daily needs. The playground is poorly equipped. The approx. 10 pitches are at ground level, spacious, with electricity columns, a concrete lane and a lawn "front garden". Registration was straightforward with the friendly receptionist. We think... 10 euros for 2 people plus a dog is a reasonable price. The campsite itself has beautiful trees and a clean little lake which is great for swimming. A beach with fine, light-colored sand and a sunbathing lawn is currently being built on the lake. Sufficient sanitary facilities and clean. Approx. 80% permanent campers, the rest tourists like us. The playground consists of an old swing and a kind of trampoline cushion. There is still room for improvement here. A disposal/supply station seems to be under construction in front of the reception. Fortunately, we didn't have to dispose of anything. Glass containers in the parking lot, a waste disposal point in the parking lot for the mobilists would be desirable. Conclusion: We would visit the site again at any time, as you can see that the operator is in the process of eliminating "weak points" and providing a good infrastructure.Automatiškai išversta.

Currently (March 2019) excavation work and redesign of the pitches, unfortunately currently a lot of dirt, the pitches are also filled with topsoil, which becomes soft and muddy when it rains. Sanitary facilities... quite clean, spacious showers with changing facilities in the cabin. Individual washbasins. Restaurant and playground at the entrance. Motorhome pitches in front of the barrier. No store, no bread rolls, but the nearest Netto and bakery are only about 500 meters away. Nice staff but annoying permanent campers, forest path next door for dog owners. Good place for the weekend with a visit to the Meyer shipyard.Automatiškai išversta.

We got a parking space in front of the gate - after a tip from other guests. The next morning we were able to register with the extremely friendly staff. Everything went without a hitch, even though... we had just settled down the evening before without booking in advance. Simply great for our purposes. I asked politely in the pub, received a very nice welcome and was told to choose a place. The next morning I went through the formalities with another very nice member of staff. The receptionist gave me great information about the sightseeing options... and even booked me a guided tour of the Meyer Werft shipyard (I wouldn't have been able to get anything else). Wanted to visit the Meier shipyard. We decided to try it out due to the new management by the city of Papenburg. Unfortunately not much has changed. Loud and unfriendly permanent campers. Free choice of pitch, just wanted to set up, a camper arrived, I'm a permanent... camper and this is my pitch. We then took the pitch next to it without any discussion. There is still room for improvement in the organization here. The sanitary facilities are fine, but the pitch was only sparsely occupied. The site is still being renovated. The restaurant is small but nice. The menu is not particularly large. But the food is good.Automatiškai išversta.

The site is currently being rebuilt and renovated (there is a discount for this). Not all the pitches have been newly laid out yet, but everyone felt very comfortable from the very first hour. There is a supermarket and bakery in the immediate... vicinity. Dear campsite team keep up the good work......... The site is ideal for visiting the Meyer Werft shipyard and getting to know the city of Papenburg by bike.Automatiškai išversta.

The new operator and his staff still need to find their feet here. But they make a lot of effort with the guests, are friendly and the helpfulness deserves 5 stars. Great price-performance ratio. Sanitary facilities newly renovated and... TOP clean, some fine-tuning still needs to be done, e.g. one more coat hook in the individual washing cubicles and showers.
