There are also various shops and restaurants here. The site itself is nicely laid out, but there are no trees for shade.
The wash houses are old but clean. A new wash house is as good as finished.
Unfortunately, there is no hot water at the... washbasins, which is particularly unpleasant when brushing your teeth.

The water is free, but that's about it in terms of benefits.NeigiamiDuring the lunch break, the place is irregularly locked by means of a barrier. During this time, nobody answers the phone or the doorbell. So if you have an emergency and have to go out urgently or even the emergency services have to come in, it's not certain that they can get in!Very bad campsiteThe place itself is ok...but everything else around it is not good at all.
The sanitary facilities are absolutely disgusting! Extreme urine smell. The toilet seats are very old and you can see that a lot of people have sat on them. The possibility to wash your hands with soap is also not possible.
The staff are extremely unfriendly. You feel more like a burden than a guest.

Shopping facilities are nearby and can also be reached by public transport. The campsite is well maintained, clean and there is a friendly atmosphere. I am very satisfied and can only recommend this campsite for relaxing, hiking and cycling in the Haard.Automatiškai išversta.

The sanitary facilities are very special: shower against coin insertion, but this in the anteroom (!). Pee trough, fed by the run-off water from the hand wash basin. No flushing facilities. Hot water only in the showers, whose waste water from cabin... 1 runs through the other cabins up to no. 5 (so the waste water from cabins 1-4 comes through there). Hosts not exactly over-friendly, pitch very uneven, no catering on site. It was 7.5 km to the bakery and back on my bike speedometer. Arrived on site to a rather "frosty" reception in the office container. Pitches very uneven, take enough material to put underneath. Sanitary facilities atrocious: the height of the washbasins (only cold water!) is for 7-year-olds. No (!!!) opportunity to get hot water... to wash dishes. Showers with shower coins, no toilet paper in the toilet cubicles: one dispenser (sometimes empty) at the entrance to the sanitary block. No paper or blower for drying hands. Men's WC with pee channel. Chipped tiles... Sanitary facilities are only cleaned every other day according to the schedule. The new sanitary building has been under construction since at least 2010 (see other reviews) and is not yet finished. When we asked the site manager about this, she didn't seem to care. We will definitely never come back and can only advise everyone against this site. We spoke to our neighbors on the pitches and they felt the same way. Unfriendly farewell.Automatiškai išversta.

Ideally located for day trips to the Ruhr area! The pitch was also inexpensive, but this is also due to the fact that it offers nothing really "special" apart from the location. The site is large and well-kept. Although many pitches were free for... guest campers (and remained free during our stay), we were allocated a pitch by the operator. We would have liked to have chosen a different pitch ourselves. The pitches are laid out on grass, the individual roads are only bordered by a hedge, so you always have a clear view of your neighbors. A small disadvantage of the pitches: They are very uneven and undulating, chocks are mandatory here. There are three wash houses on the site, all of which are easily accessible and sufficiently large. They are also clean, but not modern. A big disadvantage of the wash house directly at the reception: you can argue about the sense or nonsense of shower coins, but there are shower coins here. However, the coin-operated machines are not located in the shower cubicles, but directly at the entrance door to the sanitary facilities. So if you are showering and need to insert a coin, you first have to walk through the entire shower room wearing a towel and then insert a shower coin into the machine directly in front of the entrance door. If someone then comes in through the front door, the whole campsite can look at you in your towel. A very impractical solution. One can only hope that it will be solved differently in the new wash house (currently under construction). There is no real catering on the site, there is a log cabin near the entrance where you can also drink a beer as a guest and soccer is broadcast. As the hut is not really big and there are only very few seats (approx. 10), we were unable to try it out. There is also no small supermarket on site, but a bread roll service is available. There was one thing that bothered me about the campsite, but it's not the operator's fault: there's a small sports airfield somewhere nearby, which is well used in good weather, especially at weekends. During the day, you constantly had the humming and whirring of low-flying propeller planes in your ears, which can be really annoying. At night, however, there was no such noise and everything was quiet. As I said, it's not the operator's fault, but it should still be mentioned.Automatiškai išversta.

The sanitary facilities are older, but very clean. A new sanitary block is under construction and should be completed this year. Lots of prohibitions, but hardly any services on the part of the site management. More for pensioners who can cope with boredom. You can see the popularity from the many empty pitches.
