Comfortable and quiet. We were here 23 years ago. After experiencing some 4-5 star campsites as a disappointment on that trip, staying at Gjeilo Camping is a blessing. It is beautifully situated in the valley below the road, very quiet, by the river, which is very wide at this point. Not overcrowded (we were there at the beginning of July). The owners were super nice. Unfortunately it was not possible to pay by credit card,... but the owners accommodated us and we were able to pay in cash the evening before we left. There are ATMs in Lom and in Bismo. The sanitary facilities were cleaner than at any other campsite. We would have awarded 10 stars for this, but the facilities are a bit outdated, which didn't bother us. Price/performance: great. We paid NOK 180 per night for a caravan pitch including electricity, free WLAN and all persons. There is a small beach, a fire pit and a barbecue on the riverbank. There is also a playground. Our son (almost 2 years old) loved using it. For us, it was the best place of our entire trip to Norway.Automatiškai išversta.
