This campsite has something of a "cool camping" feel. Until the 1990s, the buildings and grounds were still used as a farm and were then converted into a campsite. The site is in an extremely quiet and idyllic location between pastures and fields, about 2 miles from the sea. The campsite can be reached... via a very narrow single track road between Findhorn and Burghead. The sanitary facilities and a recreation room are located in the former stables. These are very basic, but are heated and cleaned daily. The shower water is very, very hot, watch out! The pitches are extremely well maintained. You can see the attention to detail here. A few mill wheels decorate the site. There are some static caravans, pitches for camper vans and motorhomes, mostly on grassy areas, as well as a really huge tent area. Combined with the few campers who find their way to North Alves, there is plenty of space and peace and quiet here! The small reception also has a tiny store. The operator is very friendly and happy to exchange a few friendly words or provide information. Only cash payment is possible.
