- valter s.August 2021TeigiamiDirect access to the beach/infrastructureNeigiaminot recommended for those without cars The reception does not try to please or understand the customer and the service is almost rude. covid measures (physical distancing and wearing masks) leave a lot to be desired.demanding for their own gain and very sloppy when it comes to what's important (covid)"Montroig Playa" I don't recommend.
At this time of pandemic, we're all looking for safe places to spend our holidays and this campsite, which claims to be a 5-star resort, has added obligations as it's probably the most expensive, or one of the most expensive, in the Salou area.
Apart from a place with... good infrastructure (which Montroig Playa undoubtedly has), I was looking for a more selective place (due to the price) where the rules of distance and wearing a mask were taken seriously (and this is not the case at Montroig Playa).
After passing through the entrance barrier and going to reception (where they oblige you to wear a mask), you enter a parallel universe where there is no covid and where: 90 percent of people walk around without masks, where open-air shows are held with all the people watching without masks and on top of each other, where you go to a swimming pool and everything is on the lawns without masks and 20 or 30 cm away from each other, where sports activities are held without masks and with a lot of contact in the mix (in short, paradise for those who want to remember the pre-covid era) the problem is that covid still exists
In contradistinction to the fact that the rules on distancing and wearing masks are so easy to follow (and there will certainly be plenty of holiday photos to prove this), we are witnessing an intransigence and lack of common sense when it comes to complying with a rule that states that only 6 people can stay on a plot (I would remind you that in this park the plot includes 2 people / 1 car and the equipment that is assembled there and that the remaining people then pay a fee per person and per night).
By abusing this rule (certainly implemented for the hordes of young French people who used to go to these parks and join 10 or 15 of them on top of each other on the plots to pay less), they force a family of 7 to rent and pay 2 plots because we were 7 instead of 6 and pay an extra 650 euros.
Thank you "Montroig Playa", you've got your priorities mixed up (for your own benefit).Automatiškai išversta. - Thomas B.August 2021TeigiamiNoneNeigiamiCatastrophic communication and repayment moraleUnfortunately no refund in case of cancellationWe had booked a pitch for August 2021 and paid a deposit of 314 euros.
Due to the coronavirus situation, we canceled our booking on time. Despite the promise to refund us the amount paid minus 50 euros, the refund is not made. That is unfair. I don't want to talk about fraud yet, but we are close to it.
So a warning: you should take this into account when booking.Automatiškai išversta. - Dominik S.September 2019TeigiamiBeautiful but cold pool landscape Good shopping facilities on siteNeigiamiTrain traffic in the square Small/almost no beach Cold poolsDoes not deliver what it promises! We ended up at this campsite more or less by chance. It promises a lot on the Internet and the price list also confirms this impression. However, not much of the promises are kept. We had booked a Premium Deluxe pitch with grass and about 90 square meters. The only grass on the whole site is the artificial... one by the pool, but this should not be seen as a negative because of the climate. Despite the size we had booked, our caravan and awning would never fit on the pitch, so we had to look around the site for a pitch that was close in size to what we had booked and paid for and where the caravan could be accommodated. The information on this is completely based on our imagination. Furthermore, only one of the pools is heated and the beach is very stony and algae-covered and very narrow or non-existent. All in all, we were disappointed and left early, which is fortunately possible without any problems if you book on site.Automatiškai išversta.
- Murat S.August 2019Teigiami- Sanitary facilities - SPA area - Supermarket and bakeryNeigiami- Disturbing train traffic - Beach with pebble section and seaweed in the seaGreat place with downsidesWell-maintained resort with super clean sanitary facilities. The beach is okay, but unfortunately with a 3-4m deep gravel strip in the water, often algae etc. in the water. Absolute lowlight: a train runs right through the site! Some of the pitches have beautiful trees. However, there are sometimes trees in the middle of the pitch.Automatiškai išversta.
- Manfred B.October 2018Miserable price/performance ratioSpace and location very good. Our pitch in the front row was also great. But since the Spanish vacationers left after the long weekend with the Spanish holiday, the cleaning of the sanitary building in zone E was stopped. It looks accordingly. The beach is not cleaned. I disposed of all the garbage myself. Totally unacceptable for the price. Never again. The neighboring places offer a similar level for significantly less money.Automatiškai išversta.
- Sabine K.September 2018TeigiamiClose to the beach with great swimming opportunitiesNeigiamiSpace sizes or space recognitionHigh price level with minor flawsI'm rating a campsite here that is certainly in the top category, but also has to face criticism due to its high price level. We booked in December last year for the end of August to mid-September. When we arrived, we had to pay the full price. We hadn't been through the lockers by then. So we had to... take what came. As a place in the first row was supposedly no longer possible in December, we were given a place in the 2nd row, which we booked. It was a pity that all the travelers we spoke to got the seafront seat spontaneously or at least in the shorter booking period. The pitch allocated to us was not suitable. Due to the trees, only a tent or maximum VW bus height was possible. But no caravan. The conditions state that other pitches can be allocated in exceptional cases. We were offered a pitch in the middle of the campsite. Much further away from the sea. And of course without a sea view. After a lot of intervening, a staff member assigned us a pitch in the 2nd row. The only one available. The pitch category should be up to 100 square meters. Our pitch measured 8 x 7 m!!!! The parking lot was 2 rows away. Wouldn't have been so dramatic. However, our drawbar protruded 1 m onto the neighboring pitch. So every time the neighbor changed pitches, we had to worry whether he would accept it. It always worked out. Thank you for that. The reception staff didn't take any notice of this. As everyone only spoke Spanish and only limited English, they hid behind the language barrier. It was about 700 m from our Deluxe pitch to the main sanitary building. There were sanitary stations in between, but only with 4 toilets and 2 washbasins, as well as flushing facilities and chemical sinks. The hand basins by the toilets were therefore also used for brushing teeth. Not pleasant for everyone involved. The seats of 2 of the 4 toilets were hanging off. They were not repaired until our departure (14 days after demolition). Our waste water was also the drain for the fresh water, so it was not separated and could not be used as it was blocked. All in all, this is of course complaining on a high level. For us, the great children's pool, the children's entertainment and supervision just didn't count ... Of course, all this has to be financed and is also an enrichment for families, but we also pay top prices and have certain expectations. Many vacationers who have been coming here for years. You can clearly see this in the choice of pitches. It's difficult for the inexperienced to clearly identify the pitches. Some people take advantage of this ignorance. Despite a few inconveniences, it was a lovely vacation with a fantastic view of the sea and a very short walk to the beach.Automatiškai išversta.
- Jan B.August 2018TeigiamiCleanliness and locationNeigiaminoneVery well-kept placeWe stayed on the site for 14 days in August. There was always a cleaner in the sanitary building. So it was always clean even when fully occupied. The site was kept clean every day by many nice employees. Just like the beach... Always clean and not full. Gladly againAutomatiškai išversta.

- Jolanda v.August 2017Teigiamithe campground is by the seaNeigiamithe unfriendliness at the receptionvery poor customer approachWith a complaint you are immediately by as an annoying person. we came there to a Dutch-speaking blonde woman (in our opinion the owner because every problem by staff first had to be discussed with her) It is their campsite and you must behave as a subordinate. The woman was so customer unfriendly that... for us it is not recommended the campsite itself had a good location plumbing was well cared for. only was the railroad line in the middle of the campsite run very annoying especially at nightAutomatiškai išversta.
- Uwe K.July 2017TeigiamiVery spacious sanitary facilities. Several small toilet blocks scattered around the site. Beautiful large pool area.NeigiamiOn weekends, from Friday to Sunday, sometimes very noisy. Restaurant and snack bar with too little choice.Premium Plus pitch, right by the seaSecond time there after 1981. Even back then, the cleanliness of the sanitary facilities was top notch. Even today, with the recently renovated sanitary facilities, it is a 5-star shower. There is a large pool area at the entrance, where every age group can have fun. Although the Premium Plus pitches... are not exactly cheap, they are well worth the price. What more could you ask for than an unobstructed view of the sea all the time? Out of bed in the morning, straight into the sea. What's more, there are no large trees in the front row and the pitches are also larger.Automatiškai išversta.
- Sven M.August 2016Teigiamiclean facility, friendly staff, very good infrastructureNeigiamiPlots partly unfavorably plantedClean CP with very good infrastructureWe spent a week at Playa Montroig in August in the Premium Classic category (then a week at Els Prats in the Prestige Plus category). The sanitary facilities are new and very clean, but the paths to them are long (take your bikes with you!). The pitches are large and well-kept, but the trees are so unfavorable... that you have unnecessary trouble finding a decent pitch. The beach area is very clean but extremely narrow and quickly overcrowded, especially in the left-hand area. I didn't find the parking situation as described in other reviews to be so chaotic. If you want to stay on the campsite, you will find very good shopping facilities. Cambrils, the nearest (beautiful) town, offers better shopping facilities at better prices.Automatiškai išversta.
- Uli M.August 2016TeigiamiExcellent sanitary facilities, great infrastructure (supermarket, bakery, café.....). The Premium Plus pitches are a dream......NeigiamiOrganization check-in.Very nice, well-kept and large campsiteA very nice, well-kept and large campsite. We had a Premium Plus pitch. These are beautifully situated, right by the sea. However, these pitches are not a cheap pleasure. The awning should be well guyed, however, as the wind is quite strong in places. The pitches in the "2nd row" are sometimes quite... small and very shady (not to say dark). The sanitary facilities are excellent, spacious and always very clean and well maintained. The supermarket offers a wide range of products (e.g. fresh meat counter) and is not overpriced. And when we went to the bakery in the morning, the queue was manageable. However, the bodega (wine shop) is somewhat neglected, unfortunately ;-). Café, restaurant, snacks, entertainment: everything is proper, clean, friendly. All in all, a great place. However: I would describe the check-in procedure as chaotic. Long traffic jam on the access road, which hindered normal traffic. Long queue at reception only to be told that the whole family had to be present (the wristbands had to be attached to everyone personally); so back again and back in the queue at reception. Well, it's only the first day and the place makes up for the hassle......Automatiškai išversta.
- Thomas K.June 2016TeigiamiNice and clean sanitary facilities. Close to the beach. Quiet pitch. Consistent weather and great climate.NeigiamiAnnoying search of the car owners who, due to lack of space on their own place, put cars on surrounding free parking spaces.Summer vacation, preseasonHad a Premium Deluxe pitch in area B. Pitch was shady but due to a palm tree directly in front of the pitch and branches of the trees protruding into the pitch, we lost a lot of space. As a result, we only had 81 square meters of space. Some of the Classic pitches were larger and only a few steps further... from the beach. The drain for the waste water was constantly blocked and therefore unusable. Attempt by the campsite staff (with plunger) to clear the blockage only helped for a short time. Beach very dirty. Garbage lay in the same spot for several days. Unfortunately, the campsite had to spray the trees (at night) during our vacation because of the mosquitoes. This 4 nights in a row. But it wasn't spraying, it was drowning.Automatiškai išversta.
- Andreas G.June 2016TeigiamiNew sanitary building topNeigiamiParceling chaotic, even the employees gave the wrong information on sitePlace did not correspond to the bookingNo exact parceling of the standard Premium pitch. That's why the neighbor who had arrived earlier took up about 30m2 of our pitch. Due to trees on the pitch, there was only one space left for our camper van (6.5m). This meant that the 80-90m2 we had booked and paid for could be used in full. If our neighbor... had come with a camper/caravan instead of a tent, he could have taken a seat at our table. During dinner on the terrace, the children's movie on the neighboring stage suddenly started at such a volume that we had to put paper handkerchiefs in our ears. The old sanitary building was an imposition, but the large new ones are absolutely top - very modern and clean. Food/kitchen is to be recommended. Supermarket and bakery facilities very good. Pool area not usable in the season due to absolute overcrowding. Pitch too expensive at 40€.Automatiškai išversta.
- Björn H.May 2016TeigiamiChildren's club, children's entertainment, pool area, pitches with sea view, sanitary facilities, cleanlinessNeigiamiRestaurant, wifi, tidiness on pitches and pathsGood place with potential for improvementWe spent two weeks over Whitsun on a pitch right by the sea. Overall, the site made a good impression on us. What was great? The pool area, the new sanitary buildings, the pitch right by the sea and the children's club and the entertainment for small children. Absolutely lovely with lots of good ideas.... Our children sometimes wanted to go to the children's club twice a day. The beach was also good, but there were some stones in the water which spoiled the bathing experience. What we didn't like was the restaurant on site. Long-term campers generally avoid it. They order pasta with tomatoes and pesto from the menu, they get thin spaghetti with pesto without tomatoes. Other campers have told us that they got spaghetti with tomatoes and a small dot of pesto. The pizzas are thin and tasteless, the prices quite arbitrary. We bought scoop ice cream at the counter on the first few days and paid €1 for a scoop. The 4th or 5th time we were suddenly asked to pay €2 for a scoop? - supposedly the scoops are bigger at weekends (max. 10%), we didn't get an invoice/receipt, which is normal in Spain. I asked at reception how much a scoop cost and they confirmed that it was 1 euro. When I asked in the restaurant, I was told that in the menu of the restaurant (i.e. seated) the scoop costs 2 euros because it is bigger - but we weren't seated and, strangely enough, all the other guests only paid one euro. The explanation: if you order two scoops, you actually get one scoop, but you can choose between two flavors - huh? the scoops weren't bigger. Another example: 2 x Fanta 5,- Euro beer large 5,- Euro and Martini 2,50 Euro are Euro 12,50 --- we should pay, deviating from the card Euro 17.50. We ( and also other guests ) have avoided the restaurant of course, in relation to the occupancy of the campsite it was also very poorly attended. They usually wait a very long time before the staff become aware of them. They can also remove the bird droppings from the tables and upholstery themselves, napkins are on the waiters' serving table. According to campers who visit the campsite every year, completely new staff have probably been employed in the restaurant. In the nearest town, Miami Platja, you can eat very cheaply and well, three courses with drinks for €10! The WLAN, which is free for two hours a day, is only available in very few places on the site. Reception on the pitches is almost never available. Despite complaints from some camping guests, this has not changed. The operator did check once, but that was it. What a pity. The order on the site should be revised and checked. When we arrived after a 23-hour drive and were allocated the pitch, there was a Spaniard on the pitch ?!? - He had chosen it because he thought it was nicer, although he had been allocated a different pitch. Spaniards sometimes use free pitches as parking spaces for their cars and go swimming. Other guests had to wait for hours for their cars to be cleared from the pitch before they could move into their pitch. The operators should provide clearer rules here. Oh yes, one Spanish family sent their children to urinate at the water connection and drainage point between the caravans - disgusting! Another child simply urinated against a tree on the path (and the parents watched). The operators should issue a ban here, many guests would be grateful. They should also think about banning large SUVs from being parked on the path in front of the pitch. Some Spaniards park their cars in the middle of the path so that they have more space on the pitch. As a camping guest, you can't leave the pitch with your car, which is a shame if the cheeky parker can't be found for hours. I don't want to give the impression that there are many negative things here, but rather to encourage the operators to think about small changes to make the site more valuable. Overall, a great place with very good children's entertainment and a great children's club. Cleanliness good, sanitary facilities good, pitches OK, bathing area great, great impression of the site. Lots of highlights! The train line didn't bother us, it's how close they are to it. Many trains pass very slowly and quietly. Good pitch with potential.....Automatiškai išversta.
- Ronny F.August 2015TeigiamiCleanliness, very friendly staff, locationNeigiamiNearest supermarket 10 minutes away by car, painful stones in the water, pool closed at 19.00. No German-speaking staffwhining at a high levelWe are still here on the site until Sunday. It was our first camping vacation, which is why I can't make any comparisons with other sites. At first I booked online, but unfortunately I couldn't find a plan with numbered pitches anywhere, so I had to book on the off-chance. We booked a Premium Deluxe... in the A-Zone. On arrival and after a short walk, we looked at our reserved pitch and realized that we had been allocated the smallest pitch in the desired row. After a short consultation with the reception (English and Spanish-speaking only), we were able to move to another seat. After setting up, we naturally wanted to go straight to the sea, which was directly visible from our pitch without any disturbing view of an earth wall. A beautiful spot! During our first attempts at swimming, we unfortunately discovered that there were very large, sharp stones in the water, which can be a real problem as the water is still so shallow that you can't just swim across it. However, it gets better once you walk along the beach. There is a very high risk of injury in these sections due to the high waves! The staff are all very friendly! The entire site is cleared of leaves and dirt DAILY, and there is always plenty of staff cleaning and tidying. I noticed a small damage to a shower head in a toilet block, which was immediately replaced on the same day. Our path was very dirty yesterday due to heavy rain, a truck came straight away in the morning to clean the road with spray nozzles. I can't imagine better cleanliness and service! A small drawback is the cheapest of the cheapest toilet paper which tears off immediately at the lightest touch - whining on a high level! There is a very well-stocked supermarket on site, some things are reasonably priced, and you can quickly become Peter Zwegat's friend when it comes to meat. For 820 grams of chicken a whopping 11.80! (The nearest supermarket is about 10 minutes away by car in Cambrils) The pizza service on the campsite gets a 3. The animation is ok, but it's annoying that the same songs are played in the same order EVERY DAY, so if you don't like animation you should avoid the areas around the restaurant square and the stage. It is possible to stay overnight on arrival in front of the barrier. There are also staff at the barrier around the clock. The large wash house in our zone is probably very new, the entrance resembles a spa area and, like everything else, is very clean! What we also noticed is that the campsite is mainly booked by English and Spanish people, but this is by no means annoying. Unfortunately, as soon as the low season starts, the beach bar is closed and the entertainment program is reduced by half, but this didn't bother us. The beach bar is sometimes open and sometimes not, unfortunately it was only open once in two weeks. All in all, a really great place! I don't want to consider the little things I've listed as negative either! We will definitely be back!Automatiškai išversta.
