- Christian R.July 2022TeigiamiLocation directly by the sea Possibility for whale watchingNeigiamiHigh price for minimal facilities Condition of sanitary facilities long journeyGravel pitch with power connectionThis site actually has little to do with a campsite. It is a simple gravel site with the option of connecting to electricity. The location is right by the sea and there are whale-watching tours in the nearby village.
There is a small restaurant right next to the campsite (closes at 8.00 pm and opens... at 11.00 am). There are no shopping facilities on site or in the village and no bread delivery service.
There is only one shower cubicle and one WC. The toilet is shared with the restaurant guests and passing hikers. The sanitary facilities are old and are not cleaned very well.
Conclusion. An expensive parking lot with electricity (approx. 30 euros/night).Automatiškai išversta. - Klaus W.August 2019TeigiamiIdeal for hiking, fishing and enjoying the midnight sunNeigiamiNo shopping facilities nearby, at least I didn't see any. You probably have to drive about 20 km south to Myre for thatCamping and caravan site for hikers, midnight sun fans and anglersI was in Stö in mid-August 2019 looking for a suitable place to fish with my own boat. As I also like to climb mountains, after an overnight stay I was drawn to the "local mountain", about 200 m high, where there is an observatory. To my surprise, I immediately found a large number of ripe (yellow) mulberries... there. I also photographed the C.Platz from above. I arrived at the site in the afternoon and drove on the next day in the afternoon. No one came to collect. I was in the small restaurant that was open in the afternoon of the second day after my mountain hike and wanted to enquire about payment. A cook, who had her hands full preparing the food for the guests and seemed a little overwhelmed, said she was here to help out and couldn't give me any information. So I spent the night on the pitch free of charge. There is a floating dock for mooring boats. I am therefore planning to visit the site again next year to fish there with my boat. The harbor is absolutely windproof. The water depths around the northern tip of the island vary, but seem ideal for fishing. A short distance from the campsite, you can also hire boats for fishing and there are also rorbu cabins available to stay in. There were two toilets and a shower open at the campsite, but it was not possible to register when I arrived in the afternoon, there was no one there. Ideal for hikers, a hiking trail leads along the beach to a small fishing village that was abandoned for years but has now been revitalized, where you can also go on a whale safari in large inflatable boats. The site is certainly not suitable for a longer stay, but is highly recommended for a few days - if you love nature and seclusion - and are happy with two or three stars.Automatiškai išversta.
- Niklaus S.September 2015TeigiamiFree internet, secluded, free shower, directly by the seaNeigiamiLong journey, no shopping facilitiesCamping at the end of the worldWe were there at the beginning of September and were permanently alone. Staff are very friendly and give advice on excursions and walks in the region. Pitch is ideal if you need electricity, water, internet and a shower.Automatiškai išversta.
- Andreas und Petra S.June 2014Exposed locationNot a place for lovers of well-kept lawns, but if you like the rugged beauty of the Vesteralen and can accept a few compromises, this is the place for you. The campsite consists of two areas and there is a free choice of pitches. The front part is almost circular and has a gravel floor. There are two... power distributors here with a total of 13 sockets. In the rear area, which is closer to the sea, the ground is uneven and stony, but with grassy areas and somewhat more secluded, albeit without electricity. Unless you have 95 to 120 m of cable with you, as we did, to connect to the central power distributor. WLAN and showers are included in the price of 180 NOK per motorhome (+50 NOK for electricity). A fantastic hiking trail to the old Nyksund whaling station starts from the CP. The "dream beach" (see photos) is only 1000m away. A good spot for beachcombers. The CP offers fishing trips for 2-4 people, but it is also possible to fish directly from the shore. Seals near the shore are the order of the day. I give the site 5 stars for enjoying the midnight sun.............................................................................................................Edit: We were here again in June 2016 (for the third time). Unfortunately, when we arrived we were told that a Dutch tour company called ANWB was arriving today with about 18 vehicles, would be staying for three days and had pre-booked all 13 available power points. My suggestion to pay for the power connection and join the Dutch was rejected with the remark that the number of sockets was not the problem, but the available power capacity. Because we wanted to stay for several days and our cool box would only last 24 hours without electricity, we left again. (As there is no other campsite listed on camping.info within a radius of 50km, I will take the liberty of mentioning that there is a small, excellent campsite called Oppmyre in Myre, 20km from Stø). We came back three days later and had no regrets. .................................................................................................................... I would like to point out that I can't understand why a campsite that is very busy rents out all its electricity connections to a single customer, thereby offending its day and regular customers. Everyone who drives to this remote campsite has probably taken a detour of at least 100 km to get there.Automatiškai išversta.
- Alexander R.July 2013The campsite is located in the small village of Stø and can be reached via a small access road. Apart from the whale safari offered in the village, which is well worth seeing, you can also hike directly from the campsite. A small path leads to a beautiful sandy bay after about 1km (see pictures). The... site is also ideal for watching the midnight sun. Around the place sheep graze in the beautiful nature. The site has a café where you can also get snacks, and there is wifi at the front of the site. The sanitary facilities are poor, there are only 2 showers and 3 toilets. Waiting times must be expected in the evening. However, the facilities were always clean! In terms of costs, the site is average at 250NOK per motorhome with electricity.Automatiškai išversta.
- Marco M.August 2012The CP was the most expensive during the whole vacation. The site itself is very stony, otherwise OK, Sto is a great starting point for whale watchingAutomatiškai išversta.
- Familie S.July 2011Campsite in the very northwest of Vesteralen. The location is actually indescribable. It is very desolate and barren. No trees grow here and no grass either. The village (if you can even call it a village) has nothing apart from the campsite and a fishing harbor. Here you are at the end of Europe. But... that's exactly what makes this place so unique and exclusive in its own way. We liked it very much. The campsite is right by the sea and the harbor wall. This is not without danger for small children. The facilities are simple and functional. The campsite is quite expensive for the sparse facilities. A whale watching tour is also expensive, but a must. If you are not 100% seaworthy, take a seasickness tablet. Then the trip is a unique experience, otherwise too. The crew on board is very friendly and knowledgeable.Automatiškai išversta.
