We have been regular visitors to the campsite for 16 years and unfortunately not much has changed, which justifies the constant increase in prices after the new operator took over.
The sanitary facilities are still old, worn... out and far too small for today's standards. At the weekend, when the site is busiest, the toilets are disappointingly not cleaned on Sundays, which is not nice.
On closer inspection, the changes to the pitch are also not done properly. The new entrance to the square makes a very nice impression, but on closer inspection you immediately notice that the paving has massive flaking, which indicates that it was laid by an amateur.
The pitch was also partially under water due to the weather conditions; this was due to the blocked, overgrown ground drainage channel.
Prices should be adjusted in line with inflation, investment and maintenance.
The lawn mowing is timed for the permanent campers, the operator should also adhere to this, unfortunately he mowed during the midday rest.
The staff at reception are nice and friendly, but unfortunately you can't say that about everyone. One employee, who also mows the lawn and is apparently responsible for the repair work, can't even say hello and isn't approachable.
Equipping the entrance to the campsite with a barrier is a good idea, but it is questionable whether it is legally permissible to only guarantee exit with a chip when the reception is no longer manned. Should a dangerous situation arise and all vehicles have to leave the site as quickly as possible, this could lead to massive security problems.

It is generally clean.
There is a table tennis table behind the main building, but directly next to it are the garbage cans and the camping toilet for emptying....
There is no space for minimal leisure activities, which in case of doubt is also covered.
Tables and chairs, table tennis, maybe a dartboard.
There is a playground, but no meadow for playing football with goals.
Of course, it's not super important.
You can get everything you need at the kiosk, including sandwiches if you like. It's best to order.
The site is relatively large, seems to have many permanent campers and children play everywhere. There still seems to be an oasis of normality here.
I can reach the dyke and a restaurant on foot, where I've been told there's good snack food such as pizza, kebab and steak. If you want more, you have to go to the village of Stinteck or to Büsum. Both are easy to reach on foot or by bike.
So, the bottom line. It's worth stopping off here. No luxury awaits you here, but a solid, clean campsite. Dogs are absolutely welcome here (and not just tolerated), which is a big plus for us.
The location to the dyke/North Sea... is unbeatable and pure relaxation. Büsum can also be reached in a very short time (by bike or on foot).

The machines and the area is absolutely ok.A perfect place for me!Perfect location directly behind the dyke. Large beach areas (very nice nudist beach), with beach chair rental. Super, at the end of the beach sections is always the dog beach. The site is heavenly quiet, yet centrally located. Perfect connection to Büsum, Heide & Co, SPO, Eiderstedt (etc.). Everything... you need is available in small quantities. Small store at the CP with e.g. bread roll service, cold + warm important drinks, ice cream, sweets, coffee, Schnickichnacki, cigarettes and much more). If the weather permits, there is a chilled seating area in front of it where you can have really nice conversations. Larger purchases can be made in Büsum. The place is not a huge mass place, which is why I like it so much. Steph & Mark on the place are family-run. The team at the reception/mini store, the cleaning fairy and the groundsman are just great. They do everything with such thoroughness that it's not too tragic that the sanitary facilities, for example, are a bit older. I like the different options. Bulli pitches, barrels, permanent campers, normal pitches, everything is there and the paths are baptized with different street names. Washing machine + dryer are available. Spacious pitches with electricity and water absolutely ok. I did not use some of the things in the rating scales as they are not important to me or do not concern me.
I would like to add that the pitch and infrastructure are perfect for me. There are always various nice events. But it's nowhere near the hustle and bustle of Büsum.
It's perfect for me as a single person with a caravan and dog.

Of course, that won't stop in the future.
Every season there are renovations and modernizations of the campsite and its facilities.
Spontaneous pitch bookings and possible extensions are carried out... to your heart's content and the operators and their team really enjoy their job.
The treatment of the 2 and 4-legged guests is typically warm North German.
Groups of almost any size also find a welcome atmosphere here.
If you fancy a walk on the mudflats or chilling in a beach chair in the sunshine, just hop over the dyke. Less than 50 meters and you can see the North Sea as far as the eye can see.
A 10-15 minute walk along the dyke takes you to the beautiful town center of Büsum.
A good mix of everything.👍🏻

The pitches are big enough and you're not right on top of your neighbor. You can go on many beautiful cycling tours from here and you can also get to Büsum relatively quickly. There is a restaurant nearby and you can stock up on the essentials... in the store. A comment on a previous review: The high-hanging cisterns have the advantage that the flushing works much better and in most cases there is no need to clean them with a toilet brush and they are by no means annoying. In addition, the renovated sanitary buildings have already been renovated. It's not a 5-star campsite, but you can feel comfortable here.Automātiski tulkots.
