The website does not indicate when you can or must arrive or depart.
OK for transit
We spent one night on the site while passing through.
Unfortunately, it was not clear on the homepage when you can arrive. We could also have been told on arrival that you need €0.50 per 5-minute shower.
That's not a bad thing, but if you don't get any information beforehand, you think you don't need anything...
But as I said, completely OK for a transit.

Absolutely dead outside the summer season and unfortunately a lot of waste on the site.
Certainly nice in summer - otherwise not so much
I can imagine that the place is certainly nice in summer when the weather is good. There's the lake, nature, etc. Out of season, the place is desolate and not really nice. There's garbage everywhere in the form of bottle tops, polystyrene, coffee grounds and bits of plastic. What's more, the restaurant may or may not be open. Apart from that, there is simply nothing in the vicinity, nothing at all ;-)

Well-kept campsite
We have been going to the campsite for several years and use it for a forum meeting, there is a large meadow especially for this. The site itself is very well maintained, although the sanitary facilities are a bit older but clean.

Stopover...
We stayed here for one night. We used this campsite as a stopover. The site is very quiet on a lake. Water directly at the site. No problems checking in even without a reservation.

The lake is divided into swimmers and non-swimmers but is clearly laid out. The caravans/tents are not close together.

Pay attention to the name when approaching! There are 2 pitches almost next to each other. No fixed pitches but structured pitches if you know where. First we had to look for our pitch, then it was still occupied. We were told to leave another allocated pitch after a week or rather to move another meter,... which we were not told beforehand. Anyone with a caravan and awning knows what kind of work it is. The A1 highway is very close and you can hear it. The sanitary facilities are clean and not that old. The Kettcars are far too expensive to rent. Not much shade. A few trees here and there would help to provide shade. The recreation room is good, with billiards, table football and there is also something for smaller children to play. Bread roll service and ice cream can be bought on site and there is a mini store. Since geese live on the lake, you step in the same shit..... That's just the way it is when you're out in nature. But it wasn't that annoying for us. Showers from 7am to 11pm (that's enough) without shower tokens but with 50 cents and hurry! There is still a large playground for various sporting activities. All in all, there is still potential on this site.

Well-kept and always clean site.
Price performance- Super!
We were at the site in May on the occasion of a forum meeting. Large meadow pitches, always clean sanitary facilities, the possibility of using a large barn in bad weather and the very good price-performance ratio are just some of the arguments in favor of this site. Only the number of showers led to... "waiting time" in the morning. However, as a camper, you are flexible and simply deviate from your usual shower time. Everything fits again. We will be back again next year.

Possible highway noise
Top price/performance!
The campsite "Auf dem Sonnenhügel" is a very well-run campsite with a very high proportion of permanent campers. But that doesn't matter. We are greeted at every opportunity. You don't often experience something like that! The nearby highway could be annoying for those who are sensitive to noise. The... area is excellent for cycling. The worth seeing town of Tecklenburg is not far away! Shopping facilities in Lengerich, about 4 km away. We enjoyed the weekend very much. We would love to come back.

The highway in the distance is easy to hear.
Small, nice family campsite
Relatively large permanent camper area, the tourist pitches are in between. We had a pitch right by the small bathing lake. There is a special "beach" for smaller children where they can let off steam. The lake itself is not particularly deep, making it ideal for children. The check-in and check-out... formalities were very straightforward. The washrooms were always clean. Paper towels and soap were available. The equipment was standard, there were also smaller children's washbasins. The quiet hum of the highway could always be heard in the background, but it was not disturbing in the caravan. All in all, a good and inexpensive campsite that is definitely worth the price!

Nice clean campsite not far from the highway, which can be disturbing depending on the wind direction. All tourist pitches with fresh water and waste water connections. Small store with everything you need and bread roll service. Very good value for money. The owners are friendly, helpful, always available... and always in a good mood. Small store with everything you need and bread service. Friendly permanent campers, we liked it very much, although the weather was not so good. We will definitely be back.

The campsite is located at the foot of the Teutoburg Forest. It is clean and well-kept. The operators are nice and helpful. The sanitary facilities are clean. The campsite is the annual start of the folding caravan friends (www.klappcaravan-freunde.de). The annual end-of-year meeting also takes place there.
