The pitches are big enough, but unfortunately the water still pools for days after the rain. Bread rolls from 8 am. Sanitary facilities good, but we had the impression that the floors... were not cleaned during our stay. (in the 2nd sanitary building)
The lighting is not available on some fields, so we had to go to the sanitary building in the dark with a flashlight. A flashlight was also an advantage there, as the motion detectors in the washrooms only come on when you have walked through the whole room. (2nd sanitary building)
However, as the price for the pitch was very reasonable, you have to overlook the little things.
Plenty of space for children to play. Staff very friendly. The following day, two tractors spent the whole day sucking up the water. After drying off, the next campers came to these pitches, which then flooded again.Flooded tent and pitchesI drive home before the next rain.
With a caravan, only the awning is messed up, at least you sleep dry.

On arrival we were given a friendly welcome at reception and it was no problem to change to a higher-quality pitch with private sanitary facilities.
Arriving on our large pitch in the sunshine, we immediately felt at home.
However, this changed in rainy weather....
The pitch, and not only here, had large puddles where the water lingered for a long time. The access road with a bend to our pitch J32 was rutted and very muddy, which does not do justice to a comfort pitch.
In the beautiful restaurant, with covered terrace and very courteous staff, you could eat very tasty, here the prices were high.
A nice swimming pool, many small and large playgrounds spread over the entire campsite, daily entertainment was offered.

In my opinion, much more work needs to be done on the details.
Water... taps splash in all directions, drains in the showers sometimes do not drain properly, the cleanliness in the second wash house (G area) leaves a lot to be desired, of course if it is only cleaned in the morning when fully occupied.

And it was great! Unfortunately the weather didn't always play along, at least there is indoor children's entertainment in the mornings, the rest of the day you have to watch. Of course, the covered swimming pool is also... full on days like this.
But when the summer weather is really good, it's really great.
All the staff were always really friendly and motivated. They help immediately with small problems and everyone always feels responsible.

We were there with the WW. Particularly suitable for families. A great playground at the entrance with a large climbing frame and bouncy cushion. There are also lots of individual pieces of play equipment... dotted around the site. There is a small indoor play area, but it quickly becomes overcrowded in bad weather. There is a small swimming pool where the roof can be opened in summer. However, we did not use this or the daily children's entertainment. The beach and the small soccer pitch with artificial turf looked great, definitely a highlight in warmer temperatures.
The sanitary buildings are well maintained. The temperature of the showers cannot be adjusted and the shower jet is very weak. The water was often only lukewarm. This was due to a faulty pump, which is due to be replaced in the next few days. However, comments from other campers suggest that the problem has existed for some time. The fact that you can't adjust the temperature when showering is not really up to date. The staff were friendly, the mini-market had everything you need, including delicious bread rolls. We didn't use the restaurant. It looked inviting, but expensive. You have to want to afford the breakfast buffet at Easter for €27.50 per person... 😉Automātiski tulkots. - H. But what annoys us the... most in retrospect is that we have not yet been refunded the deposit. We have repeatedly phoned and emailed ..... with excuses again and again, very annoying

We have been guests of the Wassing family for many years and have always felt very comfortable. Now we have been back as guests on this site for the first time after Corona. We were
very disappointed, as the family flair of the new owners was no longer there and commerce had priority. We still... knew an employee from the previous owner, as he was the one who was always friendly, helpful and competent. That made us very happy and we would like to thank him for that. As we were looking for a pitch for 2 weeks for our camper van and had not booked in advance, we were offered pitches with sanitary blocks at horrendous prices. It was only after we pointed out the ACSI-CARD several times that the reception staff were able to accommodate us with the price. It seemed that they were not particularly interested in guests with ACSI.
There was a lot of unrest. The neighbors' quiet times at night were often not respected, and people partied until after midnight. That didn't happen at Mr. Wassing's. Also, every afternoon, the staff drove an electric car across the entire site with loud booming music to invite children who were not present to the entrance for entertainment.

We were very disappointed with the price-performance ratio. For 2 adults and 2 children over 60€ a night unfortunately does not fit at all with what is offered on the site. Worst of all are the sanitary facilities. Far too small and above all very dirty. The cleaning... was very poor. The shower system is a disaster (no temperature control possible, far too little water pressure)

- The animation is only in Dutch, although there are a lot of Germans on site and the Herenze is right next door. Therefore not usable for our children.
Unfortunately, we couldn't understand the 5 stars at all, but that's how various fellow campers with whom we spoke felt.

The shower jet is so small that you almost hit your head against the wall to wash your hair. The bigger problem is that you only get one temperature and it's only lukewarm. This is the first campsite... where I have frozen in the shower and afterwards. From the feeling I would say that the rooms are only heated by the sun. That may be enough in midsummer, but not when it's a bit colder. Next time I would only take a pitch with a private bathroom, otherwise no more. Otherwise everything was fine and the staff were also nice.

We were given a very friendly welcome. The site was explained to us and, very importantly, where our pitch was. Once we arrived at the pitch, the kids set off and quickly made friends with other children. There is a large lake with a sandy beach,... an indoor swimming pool with a water playground and lots of small and large playgrounds. The sanitary facilities were very clean and tidy. The food in the restaurant is delicious and the service is very friendly. You can just tell that children are very welcome.Automātiski tulkots.

This can also be seen from the fact that Camping de Papillon has so much to offer for kids: there are 2 fishing ponds and a swimming lake, as well as a small indoor pool with a water playground. There are large pitches and clean, modern sanitary facilities.... Considering this wide range of facilities, the price is absolutely ok. We stayed at the campsite in our tent for a few days and were completely satisfied. In my opinion, one small drawback is the cumbersome hot water check card, which takes some getting used to. Very large pitches, laid out in a circle around the playgrounds as is usual in Holland, lots of space for the children to play on the pitches. Unfortunately everything was very... dry, no meadow left. Internet works well, but costs according to MB (10Gig for 15 Euros). Sanitary suuuuuuper clean, they are there all day scrubbing. Lots of toilets, showers etc. Really great. What we missed were garbage cans, if the dog makes a pile you have to walk from pillar to post with the bag. Great entertainment (in Dutch!), our son even learned compressed air diving (for 6 euros, so top!). Very quiet for the many children and dogs, which I think is due to the spacious pitches. Mini market is really small, but enough for bread rolls. Restaurant expensive, but good. It was a really nice week there. You can walk everywhere with your dog, there are also extra routes around the site where they can run free. As the site itself is very small (250 pitches), you can get everywhere quickly.Automātiski tulkots.

The sanitary facilities were exceptionally good: new, modern, beautiful and comfortable. I also loved the large family showers....
