- Kevin M.September 2022PozitīviVery good location (Waterloo, Brussels, Walibi), helpful ownerNegatīvaisSloping camping meadow very muddy when it rains, sanitary facilities functional, hot water only as long as supplies lastVery good locationThe site is perfectly located for a city trip to Brussels, Waterloo is not far away and the Walibi theme park can be reached by car in about 10 minutes. The access to and on the site was fine. We arrived with a wheelchair user and asked for a pitch. On arrival we were offered a pitch of our choice on... a camping meadow.
After speaking to the owner, we were told that the pitches outside the meadow were exclusively for permanent campers. OK! Didn't even know that motorhomes and German caravans of vacationers are permanent campers! We thought that was a shame as the walk to the shower and toilet was very difficult for a wheelchair over a muddy meadow.
The site itself was a normal campsite and functional. The sanitary facilities were cleaned by an external company, showers cost 1 euro and signs point out that hot water is only available while supplies last due to a gas boiler - we had no problems.
On the sloping meadow, many power connections were defective. The meadow was very muddy due to the rain and caravans, motorhomes and even cars had problems getting back up - wheels were spinning. However, the owner helps out with a jeep when there are problems.
Be sure to bring wedges and blocks - the meadow is very steep! Why don't they build a terrace on this meadow or at least lay out gravel to drive on?
If we were in the area again, we would probably choose a different site, even though the location is almost perfect.Automātiski tulkots. - Werner K.May 2019PozitīviQuiet and beautiful location, ideal for visiting the Atomium and Brussels, Waterloo and Leuven.NegatīvaisPossibly too few showers and removal of electricity and fresh water taps when the pitch is well occupied.Small, beautiful and quiet campsite. Ideal for sightseeing. From May 02-07, 2019 Beautiful and quiet small campsite with a large meadow where you can park your caravan how and where you want. Electricity and water connection are at the edge of the large meadow. Therefore recommended to carry a 50m cable if you have your pitch in the middle of the meadow. Beautiful... view of meadows, forest and fields. The sanitary facilities were always clean and in good condition but very basic. There are two showers each (plus one for male and female at the entrance) and a lockable washroom with hot water. There is also a washbasin with hot water in the shower. There are 2 dishwashing sinks and a hose to fill them with hot water. We doubt whether this is enough when the pitch is full. We were here at the beginning of May and the site was sparsely occupied, so there were no waiting times for the showers. The groundsman was very friendly and gave us lots of information. A very cheap campsite with ACSI Card € 20 per night. The village of Overisje is about 2.5 km away, easily accessible on foot or by bike. Ideal place to visit the Atomium, Brussels, Waterloo and Leuven. The best way to get to Brussels is by car to the Atomium. There is parking there for € 6 to € 10 for the whole day and there is also a metro station next door. After visiting the Atomium, take the metro back to Brussels. The day ticket Jump, for all means of transportation in Brussels, costs € 7.50 per person, which you can get from the ticket machine at the exit to the metro station. Take metro no. 6 in the direction of Elisabeth to the Kunstberg stop and change here to no. 1 in the direction of Gare Center (central station). From the station, it is only a few minutes' walk to the "Grand Place" in the city center. You can take bus no. 71 from the station to the EU Parliament "Place du Luxembourg Ixelles". On the way there you will see many beautiful and important buildings.Automātiski tulkots.

- Eva D.September 2010The first thing we noticed was the very warm welcome we received from the site owners, who gave us all kinds of tips on visiting Brussels, from bus connections (approx. 5-10 minutes from the site, depending on how you walk) to the city's sights. Afterwards, they were waiting for us at the parking spaces... to show us the advantages and disadvantages of the possible parking spaces and to help us choose and park. The pitches for tourists are located on a large meadow with a beautiful lawn and a great view of the countryside. Electricity columns are available, but depending on the location, a long cable may be helpful. We felt very comfortable there and it certainly wasn't the last time we were there, next time with bikes because the area is very bike-friendly. Brussels is easily reached by a combination of bus and metro (Hermann Debroux station) in about 45 minutes. You couldn't wish for a better starting pointAutomātiski tulkots.
- toffa t.July 2010Campground located in the vicinity of Brussels, although it is a bit difficult to reach the city without a car. The bathrooms are clean and functional. The price is not really cheap, also because the hot shower costs 1€.Automātiski tulkots.
