- Stéphanie W.August 2020PozitīviChartres easily accessible on footNegatīvaisPoor sanitary facilitiesInadequate price-performance ratioThe site is clean and quiet. Small playground.
You can reach Chartres easily and quickly on foot through a park.
However, the sanitary facilities are very outdated and not functional.
Too expensive for 35€ a night.Automātiski tulkots. - Marcus S.July 2017PozitīviLocationNegatīvaisThe green areas/lawns are not particularly well maintained!SightseeingVery nicely situated for viewing Chartres! - Dieter H.August 2016Pozitīvi+ Easily accessible / + Prices absolutely AFFORDABLE! / + friendly / + ....Negatīvaisnot suitable for glamor campers ;-) 8-) Toilets in need of improvement/habituation ;-)good & inexpensive place for a stopover! We have already stopped here three times on our trip to the Atlantic (near La Rochelle). The site is not a ***** site, but for us it has the charm: ++ we are past Paris; ++ we can also come without registration; ++ a supermarket is ~1km away; ++ the prices are "agréable" (pitch, electricity, WLAN ...)... ++ you can eat snacks (steak haché ...) on site; ++ bread rolls (croissants etc.) can be pre-ordered .... If the need arises, we will \_gerne\_ go there again!!! (And maybe we'll finally manage to see the cathedral :-( )Automātiski tulkots.
- Ludwig K.May 2015PozitīviEasy city tourNegatīvaisSanitary facilities are terrible.Only suitable for transitThe square is very suitable for visiting Chartres. You can walk into the city in 30 minutes. If it weren't for the absolutely miserable sanitary facilities. You're lucky if you have your own toilet on board. Snacks available, baguettes etc. must be ordered in advance (we could only do this on request, but the quality was good).Automātiski tulkots.
- Philipp P.August 2012The campsite in Chartres is a municipal site that is used almost exclusively for transit. There is easy access to the site from the highway. There is an Intermarché about one kilometer away with an attached petrol station and an ATM; this covers the most important infrastructural requirements for most... campers. After checking in, you can choose a pitch. The site is quite large for a municipal site. The reception is friendly and you have the option of ordering bread rolls. There is a small snack bar next to the reception that sells chips and boiled sausages, although these are not recommended. By the evening, the site fills up visibly, and depending on how late you get up in the morning, you'll be looking at an almost empty campsite until the whole game starts all over again at around 2 pm. To get into town, turn right coming from the campsite and then right again at the crossroads (which you have usually already driven through on arrival). This is a fine and uncomplicated way to cycle through a park-like area. The Intermarché is located to the left of the intersection (behind the bridge you pass under). Of course, you have to pay a visit to the cathedral and stroll through the city center, even though - as in Amiens, for example - there is nothing to see other than the famous church. There is a lot of hustle and bustle on the campsite, as families from all over the world spend the night here; nevertheless, as most of them want to leave in the morning, it is quiet from 11 pm onwards. The cleanliness of the sanitary facilities is fine. When the very last travelers have left by 1 p.m. (this is not taken too seriously, which allows the unhurried campers to have a relaxed breakfast), the sanitary building is cleaned. As there are no signs indicating that waste disposal is to the left of the campsite entrance, all the garbage bins at and in the sanitary facilities are overflowing at this time. The number of showers and washbasins is sufficient. What is absolutely bizarre is the fact that there is only one sitting toilet each for men and women, supplemented by two standing toilets. This results in long queues at the first door in the wing for women at all times; the situation is not much better for men either. There is plenty of space for children to run around, and there is also some play equipment. Les Bords de l'Eure" is perfectly suitable and practical for a one-night stopover, not least in view of the very reasonable prices.Automātiski tulkots.
- Herbert L.April 2012In the late afternoon...... it is difficult to find a parking space there. We arrived after a rain shower. The pitches (meadow) were soggy and all the mobile homes and caravans arriving were parked on the paved paths. This made for perfect chaos. The groundsman did not intervene. The groundsman's reception was casual. The next... morning, after the campers had left, the pitches looked like a military training area. Conclusion: an overnight stay to visit the old town and especially Chartres Cathedral; this site is not suitable for anything more. The sanitary facilities are old but functional.Automātiski tulkots.
- Jürgen K.August 2011We used the site as a starting point for visits to Chartre. From here it is about a 3km walk (beautiful path) to the center of Chartre. Free choice of pitch on the natural site. The price is €17.02, which is ok. The sanitary facilities (see photo) are clean, not state of the art, but ok. I can only rate the site on the basis of 2 overnight stays, but it is quiet and pleasant there.Automātiski tulkots.
- Andreas B.July 2010Small municipal CP that is perfectly adequate for an overnight stay. You should definitely visit the cathedralAutomātiski tulkots.
